Zanessa’s First Date of 2008
Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens share a romantic date night out on New Year’s Day, grabbing a bite to eat at Paty’s Diner (one of their faves) in Toluca Lake, Calif on Tuesday.
Vanessa sure has been having a case of the giggles lately. The High School Musical star completely broke down in laughter while out with BFF Ashley Tisdale at the McDonalds drive-thru.
Looks like Zanessa rang in the new year together looking happier than evah!

Zac looks really hot, but at first glance, before I saw Vanessa in the picture as well, I thought that he was Chace Crawford. It’s kinda weird if you glance at it really fast. If you look at the picture and think “Zac Efron” you’ll see that it is Zac, but if you look at it and think “Chace Crawford” you’ll see some resemblence. Try it out!

I am sure there is a video of this. It seems like they are laughing about something and you know someone is recording this. It is amazing to me that outlets like X17online can release ones when a celebrity seems aggravated or when someone makes a nasty comment, but ones where they seem happy, those are never seen anywhere. Wonder why?

I think Vanessa was giggly around the paps because she was with Zac. There is no telling why she was giggling though — there is no telling what they talked about before they came out “knowing” there would be paps waiting for them. She could also be laughing at him with the toothpick in his mouth knowing it would bring comments.
My guess too is that Vanessa does not feel as “vulnerable” around them when Zac is with her. It’s got to be frightening to be a 19 year old young women when she is alone or with her Mom, Ashley or her sister - especially after dark and all those people are crowing you and screaming questions at you. I am sure she does not feel as threatened or smothered when she is with Zac and the paps surround them. We have seen him go “into protective mode” when they start crowing her and asking inappropriate questions.

I hope the writer’s strike lasts long enough for the HSM hysteria to die down. These actors are too old and some of them are too talented to waste their time with this stuff. i was in the LA area a few days before christmas and had a free day on saturday, dec. 22. i decided to see if i could find where these guys live in toluca lake/north hollywood. i was mostly interested to see how many paparazzi stake them out all the time. i looked for zac’s place first but never found it, i’m sure i was close but just didn’t see the building. then i drove just a few blocks and pretty easily found vanessa’s family’s house from the few clues the photos on JJ have given. all was quiet at the hudgens household, her convertible audi was furthest in on the driveway, right by the back door, then behind it were two toyota camry-looking vehicles. no sign of paparazzi anywhere. her neighborhood is ok, not that nice.
then it was lunch time so i decided to go to Paty’s, the place Z and V love to frequent. no sign of them there, there were plenty of other people eating there though. it’s right on the main drag in toluca lake with lots of older patrons, some young people, some outside tables, some inside. really low key place with basic food. i had a cheese and mushroom omelette. many, many autographed and framed celeb head shots on the wall near the cash register, saw vanessa and ashley’s photos but didn’t spot zac’s.
all in all, a fun experience. i was mostly glad to see the paparazzi don’t bother vanessa 24/7, waiting for her to come and go.
wow they are really cute…..atlast…..the long wait is over…. i love zac and vanessa.. I hope they will stay strong and be stronger……
#209 I am so tired of people saying Vanessa has nothing else besides “High School Musical 3″, she’s been working on an album since late September/early October that is picking up some posbve buzz. Blender Magazine named it as one to watch for 2008.
I’m not even going to bother with the first half of your post because that’s pure opinion and as much as I disagree with it I also know that trying to argue is pointless so I won’t. But some people make it sound like Vanessa is sitting around picking her teeth waiting for the cameras to start rolling for “HSM3,” that is not only unfair it is factually inaccurate.

I am so happy to see my favorite couple. They look so happy and vibrant
and that is something they haven’t been able to do in a while.
When Zac and Vanessa were asked in one of the interviews, when did you know that the chemistry was there. Zac said right away, it was fate and Vannesa said it was written is the stars. There the journey began for our precious couple. Their eyes lit up then as they were lit up on the first day of our new year.
I to hope and wish them all happiness and a year without the turmoil they faced this past year. That they grow stronger and wiser, striving to make the right decisions in their careers and their lives. Hollywood is a place that is very fast and requires the know how to cope with what it throws out. So far, they have used wisdom and showed strength this past year when times became very discouraging at times.
We as fans stood by them as well and I’m sure it helped them to see that we did care and support them because they stepped up to the mound with the truth.
I do not mean to put these kids on a pedestal because they are human and like us and are subject to mistakes!!!

Who are you trying to kid? You need to do better with your lies. Paty’s is no-where near a “hot spot”. It’s a regular type restaurant where families go. Until Rolling Stone magazine let the cat out of the bag about how it was one of Zac’s favorite places to eat—because, according to Zac, you didn’t see the SUV’s with the tinted windows(paps)—I would say nobody had ever heard of the place except the locals who went there to eat since it is a regular type restaurant. Now we constantly see the place mentioned in articles about these two especially on JJ since it still seems to be one of their favorite places to eat since it is in the area where they live.

Uh actually #335, I think you’ll find that most of us love Zanessa for that exact reason. They obviously don’t care about other people’s opinions on how they look. I think they both look great. Glad they are happy and wish them the best. I think Zac looks better because he’s added a couple of pounds with the holiday food. I think it’s hard for him to keep weight on. When he does add a pound or two it really shows up in his face and jaws looking broader and not so thin. Of course he always looks great.

Zac and Vanessa look absolutely adorable in these pics. I really like Zac’s scruffy look and the toothpick is really working for him too. Vanessa has the biggest smile I have ever seen on her. I think time apart made them appreciate and love each other all the more, if that is possible. I agree with those who think he looks like Chase. I thought that for a while now , but with Zac’s unshaven look, they could easily be brothers.

That shows not only lack of judgement, but lack of parenting. Jaime Lynn Spears just made a “mistake” and now has to face life long consequences. Vanessa has not had to do that–no one has taken her to task for these–just a pouty apology and we should all just forget. As the mother of a 16 year old (who used to admire both her and Zac), I feel I have the right to be disillusioned at the way young hollywood is acting and handled.
Disney is acting like the studios of yesteryear by covering their moneymaker’s back to keep the cash flow coming.
All of you are right that I need to find something I like and believe me I have. I have loved Zac’s work for a long time-he is talented and will go far. And I enjoyed watching HSM with my children…However, I think what bothers me is that V has really not taken full responsibility for her actions, was not punished but rather rewarded by Disney and now is using it to her advantage. That’s what’s so sad. I don’t think she should be held up as a model of teen behavior. Nor should she use this possible exploitation of her body for monetary purposes. You don’t think that when her album comes out the lead in to the story will be “VH, the Disney HSM star who last year had nude photos of herself released to the internet….blah, blah, blah…” Face reality, that’s what’s going to happen. Because as a country we love to see people at their worst.
