OlderSmiley Miley Trumps Them All
A very smiley Miley Cyrus checks out of NYC’s Trump Hotel at Columbus Circle on Tuesday (New Year’s Day) with mom Tish. The Disney star wore a cute white Michael Kors coat.
Earlier this past weekend, Miley defended the “scandalous” pictures of her and her friend to Z100 New York.
“At first, I was really upset. It really sucks,” said the Hannah Montana star. “It’s not something I’m going to let slide. I’m really upset about it, ’cause it was, like, not even a big deal. [She's] a friend of mine that’s a normal girl. … That’s one of my best friends. I have all these girls who I hang out with all the time. This girl doesn’t even have to deal with that, and it’s so hard. [Now] she has to go to school and deal with this crap. It’s two girls at a sleepover, and if all of a sudden that’s bad, then what is the world coming to? What I decided before I came out to L.A. and started working was the minute I didn’t have fun was the minute I go home. I don’t want to go home, and I don’t want to not do what I do, because I love it, but this … it’s Satan attacking.”

I’m sorry. I’ve yet to see what’s scandalous about those pix. Sure, they’re not ideal (and I’m not clear on the concept of why people keep posing for pix they don’t want other people to see), but they aren’t harmful. I’d say they’re fairly tame compared to, say, full-frontal nudity. Anyway, these girls–Miley, Jamie Lynn, Vanessa, whoever–make mistakes just like everybody else, and to denounce them as *****, horrible role models and all that other crap is pointless and ridiculous. We all do stupid things too; we’re just blessed not to have ours plastered across every gossip medium–like, say, on a website where people who don’t know us or anything about us can post senseless verbal abuse about us.

Ok, I think that the media is getting really messed up now a days. They are just having fun, I’ve seen girls share soda and candy before. Yeah, it may look worng, but it really isn’t. They are just two friends messing around like friends and having fun. I really don’t see whats wrong with that. The media will never learn … I don’t get why the media does this to such young stars … It’s so selfish and rude. It doesn’t look like any of these D*sney stars or any other stars are going to get a break. Just leave them alone, it’s none of the media’s nor your bussiness, and really it shouldn’t matter to you, you don’t know her, unless those of you do, then you might have a good opinion.
