Ok, I wasn’t going to come back today, but I had to comment on this.

This article showcases all of the things we fans love about Vanessa: Her maturity, her down-to-earth sensibilities, her sense of fun and her strong sense of identity.

She’s come through adversity and hasn’t let it bring her down. Plus the cute quote about Zac always making her happy makes this HRA’s heart melt. :)

Well it’s good that she doesn’t think about the future with zac. Did u really think they would b 2gether 4ever! they are young. ppl were saying they were the next justney( Justin Timberlake & Britney Spears),but, unlike vanessa, britney talked about her life with justin And wanted a family with him. I knew sooner or later the haters would come out. Still have yet to figure out why people who do not like Vanessa immediately read anything about her or disscet pictures of her.

About the article, I think she handled her answers well. Concerning Zac, there is no way she was going to say yes we are planning a future together because then everyone would say they are too young for that. They still want to keep some things to themselves.

What is wrong with her saying that she has been told she was too pretty for a certain part. I am sure she has been told that. Halle Berry was told that many times. That does not make her conceited. Really, how would you make it in the entertainment business without having confidence. Just my 2 cents.

There will always be people who criticize Vanessa. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but she lives her life for herself and doesn’t compromise who she is just to please other people. Instead of letting the negativity of others bring her down, she chooses a positive path of looking forward and not letting her past dictate her future. Her detractors can say whatever they want about her and it won’t matter because they have no power over her. Positivity nurtures love and negativity breeds hate. Absolutely adorable. She handled that interview with so much maturity. And she’s so positive, outgoing, herself, and she’s kind of living in the now, which is totally cool for someone like her to do after what happened. Vanessa’s going to be absolutely amazing, I just know it. She’s already half-way there.

As for what her mother said, in all honesty, my mother would have said the same thing. Sure she would have been a little disappointed, and I’m sure Vanessa’s mother was disappointed a little too, but even my mom agrees that teenagers do all kinds of stupid things in their teen years and that nobody should be held accountable for them. To punish someone now for something they did in the past, is not only very hypocritcal, it’s also very stupid.

To tell the truth, I was pretty happy when I read the part about how you shouldn’t become “addicted” to your boyfriend. She’s got her priorities straight, she knows that friends and family are just as important as a relationship. And at 19, she shouldn’t be planning the rest of her life with a guy just yet. I like her with Zac, but I also like the fact that she’s not letting him control her life, and she’s being her own person.

When I look at Vanessa, I don’t see a hypocrite, or a fake, or a s.lut, or a girl who’s too full of herself. I see a young woman who’s taking life as it comes at her with a great attitude and enjoying everything she has while she has it. And I think that’s something we could all learn from.

Look, Vanessa didn’t say she wasn’t going to be with Zac in the future. I think it is clear she meant that she doesn’t spend her time thinking about it. She is focused on the here and now and enjoying what they have right now—that’s all we are promised anyway. As she says they will have to see what happens. That seems like what most people do who are still getting to know each other. They are young and they are just starting out in all areas of their lives. They have a lot to put together yet. But when she says he always makes her happy and knows how to make her laugh is a very important thing. And most celebrities that have ever divulged too much about their personal lives has been sorry for it. It is like the kiss of death. It sounds like they are living in the moment and she seems to be that type of girl.

Those of you who are so worried about her not being good role model should appreciate the fact that she is saying how important it is to have your family and other friends be important in your life too even if you have a boyfriend. So, many young girls like Vanessa LIVE for a guy when they are involved and lose other important aspects of life. This is a down to earth attitude and you who want to find fault in that statement want to do just that, FIND FAULT.

What was her mother to say to her when she could clearly see her daughter was traumatized by what had happened to her. I think Gina was trying to lighten the moment. After all, what purpose would it have served to yell at her at that point. I’m sure more serious words were exchanged later once Vanessa felt like she could hold her head up again. I’m sure Gina was more concerned about her daughter’s welfare when she first heard about it than to become self-righteous.

alot of mommas do say it’s ok.. When they take pictures/ videos of their preschooler in the bathtub or when they laugh and take pictures/videos of their little ones that have decided to take off all their clothes and run around the house naked.

Then these same momas say awwweee, let’e send these to grandma, grandps, aunt and uncle so and so, I bet they would love to see it. Thus the pictures/videos go out in the mail or email and the little ones wait for their relatives and family friends to say how cute they were/are.

So yes, with kids being sponges and absorbing everything, their mothers were in a sense telling them that it was ok.

That to me is the greater of the 2 evils when weighed against the one photo that vanessa took and never intended to get out.

I have been attacked over and over again by Narf, Steph, Troy, Ellie and some other persons on this site for daring to mention the filthy pictures of Vanessa that are still floating all over the internet.

I was labelled a psycotic who was the only person in America who still wanted to discuss why and how these pictures happened.

But here we see that Seventeen Magazine made those filthy pictures the main topic of their cover article on Vanessa. And just last week the New York Times referenced the pictures on the front cover of the Styles section of the New York Times.

I think that Narf, Steph, Troy, Ellie and the rest need to make a written apology to me on this site…right here right now….because they were totally wrong that america is ready to drop the subect of these pictures.

Even Jared recognizes that Vanessa has not done enough to address this issue by highlighting this excerpt from Seventeen.

I agree wholeheartedly. The comment by Vanessa’s mom is very telling and goes a long way in explaining why Vanessa is so laidback with regard to the situation. I too hope that her sister and any young girls who may consider her a role model take note of her actions and make better choices for themselves.

i had the unfortunate experience of meeting ms. hudgens this past weekend in toluca lake in the urban outfitters..
me and a bunch of friends were in there just shopping and we heard commotion..
so we went towards the door and who do we see? none other than vanessa..
i was pretty excited because i WAS a fan of hers, up until then, so i waited a couple of minutes and i went over and asked for an autograph..
she’s like “Why the hell do you want MY autograph?”
i said “because you’re famous? and i think you’re a good person, and most importantly, i’m a FAN.”
her mom said “vanessa, just sign the damn thing.”
and she said “whatever.” and she signed a piece of paper. the worst is yet to come.
some of my friends wanted to take their picture with her and she was like, “you guys have no fcking lives. go take pictures by yourself. i don’t have time for this.” and then the paps made their way in..
she quickly got some stuff and left..

In response to your question, the reason I am so “obsessed” with those pictures is because I can’t stand hypocrisy and I honestly thought it was hypocritcal of Vanessa to be portraying herself as America’s sweetheart when she was clearly leading a double lifestyle (not quite as severe as the double lifestyle being led by Zac but that is another story for another thread).

Also I just find it quite funny that she put herself in that predicament. I am a guy after all.

Finally I am a perfectionist who quite honestly has never made a mistake so I live myself vicariously through others who are also supposed to be perfect but make mistakes.

When I said I felt that there were some facts missing in michelle’s post, I think there is. Some people’s personalities can be pushed to the limit and then they come unglued at some who have done nothing to them. For instance, perhaps after having dealt with the paps nearly the entire week—day after day—here they were yet again following her and trying to get a picture. So, bam, here comes even more people wanting something from her, autographs and even MORE pictures. Maybe she just wanted to have a few moments in her life where she could be a HUMAN BEING. I have known of celebrities who are normally kind and considerate who have moments where they just can’t take anymore. Then they act like a normal cranky person. It doesn’t mean they aren’t USUALLY a nice person. NOBODY is a saint 24/7. I also think there are times when asking for autographs may be out of place.

I remember some years ago Jim Nabors/Gomer Pyle was dining in a hotel restaurant when he was making some kind of an appearance for some such thing. Anyway, a somewhat push lady came right up to his table and pushed a piece of paper under his nose and wanted an autograph. He was polite and said when he was done with his dinner he would sign it for her but at that time he was just trying to eat. She became very nasty and informed him he was a has-been, etc. All the man wanted to do was eat like a normal person. I don’t believe he should have been treated with any less consideration than anyone else in that restaurant. Maybe, as I said, Vanessa just wanted to go shopping for a little while. Maybe it showed just how stressed she was due to the constant glare of the paps. In the Urban Outfitter’s pictures she looks miserable to start with. She doesn’t see a bit happy or relaxed. Then will be times with any celebrity when they will have less than stellar moments

However my first reaction is to take these stories with a grain of salt, and no I’m not saying this because its Vanessa I would say this about any celebrity. First I have to say looking at those pictures from Sunday night I can see that Vanessa was not in a good mood, which is understandable giving the way she hounded all weekend and yet again. Plus it sounds like there may have been tension between her and her mom if her said what she said she did. I can understand why she wouldn’t want to sign autographs or pose for pictures.

Nevertheless she shouldn’t have reacted that way if she did. As fond as I am of the girl, I can say when she’s wrong, and in the situation Michelle describes she was in the wrong. She shouldn’t have taken it out on you and your friends but sometimes people yes even famous people are in lousy moods sometimes.

So this story doesn’t tell me she’s fake it tells me human.

I think that she definitely had a point about not knowing what the future hold, yes, she’s still young and still got a lot to do before steeling down (that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t love Zac or anything) and she shouldn’t be to involved with a guy or depend on him to much, I mean, that’s what Britney did with Justin and when that ended her world literally came crashing down. And even if their living in the right now it doesn’t mean that 1) like I said, they don’t care and love each other and 2) that it’s not impossible that they have a future together, it’s just that they don’t want to lean towards that at such a young age, which makes a lot of sense.

Also, I can say that I was also happy that she was in Australia, with Zac, when the picture came out, I can imagine that it must have helped being able to work that part out with him while together as it happened and I can imagine that’s one of the reasons why she managed to keep trying even when everything and a lot of people turned against her.

I have to say that what she answered to the question on how it was like to date a guy that everyone had a crush on made me smile, everything she said is true and she was very open about it, she was very open about everything really, which was great.

I can also say that she is right about both Myspace but especially Facebook. Both sites can be very dangerous if you’re not careful, I know that at least when you become a member of Facebook it actually says that facebook are aloud to use any pictures you have on your profile page anywhere they want, and if they did you wouldn’t be able to do anything about it.

I really enjoyed reading this article, it shows what I admire about her.

In Robbie’s version he sings ‘And through it all, she offers me protection…’ and in Jessica’s she sings ‘And through it all HE offers me protection…’ so it’s pretty safe to say that she sang Jessica’s version and therefore haven’t done anything wrong by saying that she did.
