She’s the mother of Britney Spears, who is currently under a 72-hour mental lockdown at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. And who can forget 16-year-old Jamie Lynn, who is pregnant with her first child.
“Everyone has been worried for some time,” says one source to People. “[Brit's] world has been crumbling around her and this is another call for help. Her parents are just devastated. Nobody knows if they can take much more, but they’re trying to be as strong as they can.”
Earlier today, Lynne was “extremely distraught” on the phone with Access Hollywood, and said, “Just say prayers.”

Britney Sedated, Refusing Visitors
Britney Spears is sedated and resting in the psychiatric unit at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. A family insider tells PageSix.com that the singer requested that no visitors be admitted and her doctors agreed.
In the meantime, more details are surfacing about the singer’s early-morning showdown with police. After Britney refused to give the kids to Kevin Federline’s bodyguard, her ex-husband went to her house to retrieve them himself.
“When Kevin got to the house and saw how messed up Britney was and how distraught the boys were, he tried to get her to release them,” the source tells PageSix.com.
The mother of two responded by locking herself in the bathroom with son Jayden (and possibly Sean) “in an effort to hide from Kevin and then the police.”
The origins of the black-and-blue mark that sent one-year-old Jayden to the hospital along with Britney remains a source of contention.
“Right now we hear that she is telling the police that the bruise was on Jayden when she got him from Kevin,” the source tells PageSix.com. “However, I have been told that the bruise was caused when Britney pulled Jayden into the bathroom. He was afraid, and she forced him, causing the bruise.”
The exes have not had much interaction since the bathroom standoff.
“Kevin tried to talk to Britney at the hospital last night and she freaked out,” says the insider. “He wanted to try and get to the bottom of what she did, but she was not cooperative.”
Along with Britney’s family, Kevin is also said to want a judge to order the singer into rehab.
“Britney is in a horrible state of mind,” says the source. “Suicidal is an accurate description. She has made threats, in the past, and recently in words such as ‘I should just drop off the face of the planet’ and ‘If I were dead…’”
However, the source assures PageSix.com that Britney might only be a danger to herself and “has never made threats about hurting the boys.”
Can’t they leave her alone ?
Just for a few months so she can start fresh ?

To ALL those saying oh she was a child star with a stage mum, that is not the problem here. BEING A CHILD STAR IS NOT THE ISSUE! Take Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera people she grew up with and were also child stars, they went a little wild at some stage but their MOTHERS WERE THERE 100%. And now they are well adjusted adults, Beyonce also was a child star and up to now her mum is in her conner, you only have to see mama Knowles step in to defend her damn child when she feels she’s under attack, like that run in with PETA people! LYNNE is the one who needs help and prayers like “Dear God I know I F*kd up big time, but how do I keep my kids alive and try to make it right”
What kind of a f*king mother cuts and runs when the going gets tough??? Talking to the media telling them of her pain and crying while she’s miles away from a daughter that really needs her. Britney right now could do with her MOMMY’S HUG and a kiss, but no, Lynne would rather be telling media how it’s been tough for her and asking for prayers? Like what? Get your backside to Cedars-Sinai woman before it’s too late.
On another note I hope they continue to hold her forcefully beyond the 72 hours at Cedars-Sinai to really start on intensive treatment for her own good. I mean she can’t even see her kids anyway if she comes out so there really is nothing for her on the outside right now. It’s the only hope there is and 3 days is not gonna change anything at all.
There is hope yet for Britney, Courtney Love, Whitney Houston and others managed to get their kids back and their lives back to some semblance of normalcy after treatments. Treatments being the operative word and plenty of time as well.
Britney is making bad choices for herself, holding her for 72 hours is not enough time to start treatment on her mental condition, it wouldn’t suprise me if she’s bi-polar and needs medication.
right now shes in a safe place where the paparazzi are not allowed to follow her. This is the price she pays for fame and fortune,

britney needs to take control of her life. hanging with lowlifes,jmo, and her other antics is not the answer. if she is mentally unstable, to a degree,-she isnt totally unstable-, or she wouldnt be able to stop people from helping her. i feel she is a narcissist among other things,shes use to having her way, mentally unstable or not. its her call and her call only.
kfed she chose him knowing what she knew, because brit gets what brit wants thats not totally her fault but it is if if its carried to far. as far as post p. that possibly plays into it. ,i had pp. and depression, as my mom died while i was pregnant,so i suffered for years and didnt even know it. its really up to brit, kfed can only do what she allows him.
if she wants to hang with those paps and lowlives all day long its her business as long as she can take care of herself/babies its all good. not trying to say what she can and cannot do. but no one can help bs but herself and she has to want it, even if she feels she doesnt need it. its her first/ then her children she must do it for. i hope she gets better. she has to take responsibility for her choices and actions.
Brit’s been in my prayers for a while. I honestly think ONLY God can help her now.
she should write another book. How to sellout using your children. how to force your 16 year old daughter to have a kid just to keep the family in the tabloids. Britneys finished, jamie-lynn obviously didn’t have a career ahead of her (in her mothers mind) so they do all this. the mother should be behind bars, hell mother, wolves are better parents, jamie lynn would be better off being raised by wolves.
Dear Lord. Please help Britney and her crazy self off my tv, my internet and off my radio. Please give Kevin full custody of the boys and keep them safe. Lord bless the spears family because they’re all mest up.
Help them Lord that they will turned their lives around, and start going to church and worship you, and eating a couple bible leaves wouldn’t hurt either, bless them lord. Amen!!!

Lynne Spears knows what she is doing every minute of the day. Think about it - why in the world, when paps are everywhere, would she go to her sister’s grave, and be photographed like she was today and the dramatic pictures are appearing everywhere. Why would she speak with an interviewer with the prayer comment when she should have been on her way to LA. Even if Britney didn’t want to see her, she should have been nearby to let Britney know she cared. The woman is capitalizing on this event to appear like the poor, pitiful Mother who tried sooooooooooo hard. Her book deal is on hold but supposedly still to be published by the Christian publisher in Tennessee and I guarantee the dramatic picture at the grave site will be in in. Media consultants have all commented on her judgement and irresponsibility in capitalizing on her youngest daughter’s pregnancy. The daughter is a minor so she had to give permission for the interview. Maybe Lynne Spears can co-write a book with Virgie Arthur, or Michael Jackson’s family, or Michael Vick’s mother and father, on why their children suffer from arrested development; why they never taught them to become productive adults. Oh, I forget, they took the lazy way out and didn’t want to deal with tantrums or confrontations because if they did, the money might be cut off. One more thing about vultures . . . if Dr. Phil really cared about Britney, he would not capitalize on it, he wouldn’t comment about it, nor do a show about it. He would deal with Britney and her family in private but gosh, I forget, there are ratings to think about. He is losing more and more respect. No wonder Oprah has disassociated herself from him. AND, if Lynne is on his show as reported, what better way -along with the pray for her interview and the dramatic picture at her sister’s grave knowing she would be photographed - to perpetuate the image of the poor worried Mother. Think about it.
If her family needs a prayer it’s because of her. She is a horrible money hungry beeotch that screwed up both her daughters especially britney.

I met Britney like 3-4 years ago on The Queen Mary i think it was the day before or on the 4th of July.
i was like 7-9 years old.
I didnt even know it was her!
i was just dancing to music.
and she walks up to my mom and dad and says” aww shes so cute :)” and smiled.
then she went to the bar [ where we were but kids are alound in till 8.]
and got a drink and left.
and my mom calls me over shes like ” i think that was Britney Spears.” and im like “WHAT?! where?!” and wanted to go look for her but my mom said ” no we arent stalkers!” i got mad.
