Older‘Juno’ To Break Box Office Records
Ellen Page arrives at the 2008 Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala at the Palm Springs Convention Center on Saturday in Palm Springs, Calif.
Last year, Little Miss Sunshine took home the Chairman’s Vanguard award. This year, Drew Barrymore presented Juno with that honor. Both films are from Fox Searchlight.
Juno is fast becoming Searchlight’s biggest hit ever, approaching Little Miss Sunshine at $59.9 million and Sideways at $71.5 million.
Other pictures include Page, 20, sporting a Miu Miu jacket and Converse sneakers at the taping of The Late Show With David Letterman on Thursday in NYC. You can watch her appearance below! Ellen seems like such a precocious young woman with a great sense of self-awareness!
And I can’t stress this enough, GO SEE JUNO! GO SEE JUNO! GO SEE JUNO! GO SEE JUNO! GO SEE JUNO! GO SEE JUNO! GO SEE JUNO! GO SEE JUNO! It’s one of the most incredibly smart-mouthed and totally endearing films ever!

Juno sucked! It’s like a predictable afterschool special. Ellen is a little ****, Jennifer Garner is the WORST actress ever. Save your $$$ and avoid this crappy film.

^ That’s terrible! I thought this movie was terrific and every actor did an amazing job. Even if you didn’t like it you shouldn’t be that harsh. The entertainment industry is lucky to have a Jenifer Garner. A classy elegant woman. And as far as Ellen PAge, she’s not this party animal girl. I think they are both great.
Ellen Page is Hollywood’s next best thing. Shame she won’t get to enjoy her first golden globe nomination with that stupid WGA.

She was great. The movie was spectacular. I found Ellen incredibly funny. That movie is excellent comparing to other not so ingenious movies such as HSM. But hey, it’s my personal opinion.
Can’t wait to see this movie! Ellen seems like such raw talent! I like her edgy look, but she’s way too attractive to be wearing a sack of a dress like that one!

and how he was asking about camping and such because shes canadian, so funny, i think its great how so many americans assume that all canadians are lumberjacks living in wooden huts and igloos in the middle of nowhere.

JUNO is awful.
Juno wasn’t believable at all. Smart, independent girl decides to tie herself down with a pregnancy … for somebody else? Didn’t make any sense. Snappy dialogue, though.
Yay for ‘Juno’, the movie is fantastic! The writting is phenominal and the humor so spot on delievered by everyone in the cast! Ellen did a awesome job, she really rocked the role! So happy for her to be getting good praise for her job in the film!

That clip of Ellen is adorable. She seems like such a lovely, funny girl. It’s very refreshing to see a young actress with such personality who doesn’t seem to be so into the hollywood life and who appreciates where she’s from. I can’t wait to see Juno!

Please, can someone out there confirm my belief that this movie was impossible to watch?
I’m sure Ellen Page is a good actress, but she was absolutely unbearable to watch in this film. I cannot comprehend how anyone can think this screenplay was well written. If the writer was trying to capture the indie personality, he failed miserably. Granted, Juno has all the ingredients of an indie teen: the dress, the music tastes, and the biting sarcasm. Yet the screenwriter exaggerated Juno’s character so much that to render her lines unlistenable. I was actually afraid to hear Juno speak another word because I knew it would be terribly unfunny, inaccurate, and frustrating.

Like I said, it’s unrealistic about teen pregnancy, and Juno is so annoying, that your want to put your hand around her neck.
I didn’t like Juno , it was the most overrated movie since “Michael Clayton”. The last best performance of Ellen Page’s was her great turn in ” Hard Candy”. Now, that was a performance.! I wish Keri Russell was getting the acclaim that Ms. Page is getting right now for Juno. Keri’s performance in the “Waitress” was one of the best performances this year. “Waitress ” was the most charming movie this of 2007. Also, I truly hope Andy Griffith is nominated for Best Supporting Acting for the upcoming Academy Awards.

Hollywood thieves found a cheap rip-off of Janeane Garafolo, proving once again that they have no creativity or talent other than to steal from others. They stel from real artistists because they are lazy and stupid and want to horde the profits for themselves.
The profits are going into the agents’ pockets.
