Shia Calls Shotgun

Shia LeBeouf takes hold of a shotgun while jumping out of an armored vehicle on the set of his forthcoming political thriller, Eagle Eye, in central Los Angeles on Saturday

A bloodstained Shia, 21, was spotted puffing away on his favorite cancer sticks between takes.

Eagle Eye centers around a young slacker (LaBeouf) who returns home after the mysterious death of his successful twin brother. Said slacker and a single mother (Michelle Monaghan, pictured) find out that they have been framed as terrorists, and they are coerced into becoming members of a cell tasked to assassinate a politician. Son and single mom must find a way to escape the cell and extricate themselves.

Eagle Eye is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on Aug. 8, 2008.

Michelle Monoghan cannot be playing Shia’s Mom. She is just 32. Your description for this is wrong again.

Jared, first I wanted to thank you for all the news, and for your Web site - I really have fun checking it out. Having said that, I have to tell you that I really find “cancer sticks”, a metaphor in poor taste. If Shia (or any other celebrity/person) smokes that is nobody’s business (specially when he/she isn’t subjecting anyone to any unwilling smoke, which is the case), and that shouldn’t be picked out every time with such a derogatory, judgmental undertone. Surely everyone has vices and/or poor judgment in some area of lie. It’s part of being human.

Shia has turned into a very nice looking man! I see him being in the business for many years to come. As far as the smoking, bless him, I know what it’s like to need that fix because I myself have smoked for the past 15 years and hate the fact that I do. Smoking is a horrible addiction and one of the hardest to quit.
