Shia LeBeouf takes hold of a shotgun while jumping out of an armored vehicle on the set of his forthcoming political thriller, Eagle Eye, in central Los Angeles on Saturday
A bloodstained Shia, 21, was spotted puffing away on his favorite cancer sticks between takes.
Eagle Eye centers around a young slacker (LaBeouf) who returns home after the mysterious death of his successful twin brother. Said slacker and a single mother (Michelle Monaghan, pictured) find out that they have been framed as terrorists, and they are coerced into becoming members of a cell tasked to assassinate a politician. Son and single mom must find a way to escape the cell and extricate themselves.
Eagle Eye is scheduled to open in theaters nationwide on Aug. 8, 2008.

I also heard a rumor that Billy Bob Thorton is in the movie as well. Maybe he is behind it all. Since Monster’s Ball, I don’t think he has played a bad guy unless you count Mr. Woodcock or Bad Santa. Unless he is just a cameo though, I think he is the one playing the secret person that knows everything. Why else do you think the synopsis says the the identity of the person behing it is SHOCKING!

It’s so weird, but I’m so proud of Shia for everything that he has done. I watched him in ‘Even Stevens’ when I was younger, and then kept on seeing him in things like ‘Charlies Angels’ and ‘I, Robot’, and then ‘Transformers’ just seemed like the break he really deserved, and now he just keeps on rising. I guess I’ve just been watching his career, lol.
