Angelina Jolie @ Critics Choice Awards 2008
Angelina Jolie and goateed Brad Pitt arrive at the 2008 Critics’ Choice Awards held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium on January 7, 2008 in Santa Monica, Calif.
Actor/comedian Darryl Lynn “D. L.” Hughley praised Brad and Sean Penn for doing more for black people than the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
Hughley then gave Brad a shout-out for his work with NOLA and the Make It Right project. He even joked and called Brad an “honorary Black person!”
The cameras panned over to Brad and Angie at their table. Angie was then seen clapping for Brad.

I’ve been asked to turn my scripts into books to make them more “real” to give them more credibility. That’s just an ecuse agents and managers use to buy them time to attach actors and directors to work they plan to steal and cut you out of their Dealey.
Damn, I think it’s so painful to watch and listen to DL Hughley. Too many “us black folks versus them” references … I thought a host is supposed to be neutral. I now turn down the volume when he comes on.

OMG - the presenter (don’t know his name) just announced the nominees for animation which included Beowulf, and he says:
Beowulf with Angelina Jolie (the only actor named through the entire announcement). Then the camera cuts to the table and Angie looks to her right with a raised eyebrow, and Brad with his arms crossed on the table, very slightly rocking. Guy says, sorry Brad, we all like looking at Angelina.
