Javier Bardem @ NY Film Critic’s Circle Awards

Macho eye candy Javier Bardem picks up the award for Best Supporting Actor for the Cohen brothers’ No Country For Old Men at the 2007 New York Film Critic’s Circle Awards at NYC’s Spotlight on Sunday.

No Country For Old Men also picked up the awards for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Screenplay. In the film, Bardem, 38, plays Anton Chigurh, a psychopathic murderer who wreaks havoc in Texas during the 1960s.

Lots of film buffs recently got together to discuss the crime drama’s controversial ending (amongst other things) including Elvis Mitchell (ex-New York Times), Harry Knowles (Aintitcoolnews.com), Glenn Kenny (Premiere.com), Jim Emerson (RogerEbert.com) and Jen Yamato (RottenTomatoes.com). If you are one of the fortunate ones to have already seen the film, check out the exclusive podcast here.

Just last week, Javier and his leading lady Penelope Cruz, 33, were seen frolicking on the beaches of Fernando de Noronha (an archipelago in the Atlantic Ocean, near the Brazilian coast).

Guys pls watch ATONEMENT with James McAvoy and Keira Knightly.. I’m very emotionally involved with the film, it’s a very great film. The ending is superb, a bit hash but it’s reality.

He is very handsome. Also, an amazing actor he scared the bejesus out of me in No Country For Old Men. I hope he wins an oscar. He sure deserves it.

ESE JAVIER!!! VIVA LO ESPAÑOL!!! YOU ARE AN AMAZING ACTOR!!

That movie was off the hook!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He was realllll scary!
A very good actor. F*&* Johnny Depp.

To # 2 Brenda
He did not take any surgery operation. He have always had this square face, his is a little bit crooked,… He’s a real man!. I think he’s handsome and an interesting man

His nose is a little bit crooked, i meant…

He reminds me of the late actor Raul Julia.

He’s a very good actor.

Did you all hear the story from the film critics that at the after party of the premiere for No Country For Old Men, no one was standing around him and he was the star of the movie. He had creeped everyone out so much, and it was so realistic, that people were just staring at him not getting too close…lol

Hi everybody! I’m from Brazil and Fernando de Noronha is in Brazil, not near. It’s a romantic place for those lovers.

Javier in Love in the Time of Cholera is a relief after seeing him in No country for old Men.

Javier has a resemblance to Jeffrey Dean Morgan (aka Denny from Grey’s Anatomy)…Am I the only one who thinks this?

He’s very hot and created one of the best villains in recent cinema.

MMMMMM….yummy! So hot! I can’t wait to see his bad guy in NCFOM - Penelope is lucky, I think they are are spicy couple.
He makes me melt!

He is very good-looking and an amazing actor. Check out his
other movies — he is one of the best.

First off I have to say he was absolutely brilliant in “No Country for Old Men” and I expect him to pull off the same sweep that Jennifer Hudson did last year for “Dreamgirls.” He deserves it.

As far as the movie itself I can’t say when I’ve seen a movie that I thought was in all other aspects headed for greatness so completely destroyed by an utterly unforgivable ending. I don’t think I’m ever going to watch another Cohen Brothers movie, that’s how badly I think they dropped the ball with this one.

Didn’t No country for Old men remind anyone else of the movie Fargo?

Finally a real man! I’ll bet he has a lovely furry chest to snuggle against, mmmmmmm……
