Actually Jon its the other way around. The GED requires little or no supervision to receive (if you watch late night tv you see commercials advertising ‘get your high school equivalences’ aka GED). But either way you’re finishing high school. My friends opted not to attend school period. Kid you not someone said Jaime-Lynn could become a secretary - well my friend became a secretary to the Chief of the Fire Department in my hometown. Another is a clerk for the school board, the other manages a gas station. Not bad. Me college - job at movie company in SF.

They had to get GEDs for various reasons - suicide attempt, run-away, and serious car accident left one in a coma for a year. We thought he’d be allowed to catch up to us but my HS did nothing to help him catch up.

Good for you, Jamie Lynn. Get the Education out of the way. One less thing to do before the baby comes. Education is really important.

Well most women don’t start showing at all until eight weeks and some even more, not to mention she has a big hoodie on.

shes moving on people, so do the same it doesn´t affect ya. Shes getting her education, which is a good thing and I hope she goes further too.
She will be fine, and just maybe still have chance at a career in acting later on.

Since Jamie Lynn is not that far along yet, she should consider working towards her actual high school diploma. It’s not like she’s about to give birth any minute.
The unfortunate truth of the matter is, a GED is not as valued as a high school diploma. I’m a college student, and getting into college- even state universities- is more competitive than ever, even with your regular diploma. if she wants to go to college some day, she should try to get a regular diploma.

that said, i don’t understand how *today* there are still unwanted pregnancies. There are so many forms of hormonal birth control (many more than just “the pill,” because not every woman could take it) [granted, some people, like those on certain antidepressants and anticonvulsives, cannot take hormonal birth control, but that doesnt apply to the majority of women) that are over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy…was it so hard to take a pill every day or get an injection once a month or wear a patch or something like that?

i feel bad for her…i read her interview in OK Magazine and she definitely seemed less than thrilled at being pregnant. an unhappy mother (and i cannot blame her…she’s 16. most 16 year olds, especially those accustomed to having a free life because of money and fame, do not want to experience motherhood at that moment) will make for an unhappy baby.
If she really doesn’t want the baby, she should give it up for adoption. many women in the US are desperate to have a child, and she can help herself, the baby, and some family who would really like a baby.

Im glad that she is getting on with her life!! I dont know why people are so judgemental these days!! The Spears are a great family that deserves no criticism from the so called public because every family has skeedmarks and it just happens that we see the Spears’ ones the most as they the tabloid’s favourite. I respect them alot for getting on with life which is more than im likely to say about some of you guys. Shame on you!!

I wish she would have used protection-she’s much too rich to not have used anything. Makes me think she did this on purpose.
