Ziyi Zhang dines with boyfriend Vivi Nevo at Vanity Fair editor Graydon Carter’s Waverly Inn in New York City on Monday.
Ziyi, 28, is best known for her roles in the phenomenally successful Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2001), House of Flying Daggers (2005) and Memoirs of a Geisha (2006).
Nevo, 41, is an Israeli venture capitalist and heads investment firm “NV Investments,” which has one of the biggest stock shares of media conglomerate Time Warner.

Lily, in general, asian woman prefers an older guy. Depending on what part of country a person is from, from five and above is preferable. My guess is that it is due to having different culture compared to western. In most parts of asia, a woman ususally looks for a depenable type who is mature and family oriented.

I’m asian and I have never said to myself “I’m going to find a white guy who is older than me and makes lots of money”. I have several asian female friends and NONE of them have ever said things like that before! You could argue it’s because I’m really Asian American but my mom was born and raised in Asia and she married a guy 2 years younger than her. So none of these statements you guys are making makes sense to me.

I am asian myself. For me and several of my friend (who are asians) we just want someone who are mature and family oriented. I really don’t care what race they are. Not all asian women need a man who can take care of her. I am very independent. I don’t need a man to take care of me, same with my friends. I don’t think many asians are gold diggers, even though some are. Saying that we need an older man is wrong, my mom is older than my dad.
Just saying what is on my mind.
