OlderRoseanne Barr Hates Oprah
Actress/comedian Roseanne Barr has made some wild accusations in her latest blog about talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Here’s a summary of what she said (with spelling and grammar fixed):
– Barack is an empty suit selling “hope” in lieu of Truth
– Oprah helped to elect Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have no doubt that she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay their “fair share” of Cali tax.
– Oprah has given us Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope.
– Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too. You are a closeted republican and chose Barack because you do not like other women who actually stand for something to working American Women besides glamour, angels, Hollywood and dieting!
– It is historical that Oprah, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience…and sells that to the female demographic who look to her for inspiration!

I’m no Roseanne fan, either, but she’s dead on in what she says about Obama. It’s easy to SAY change, but there’s been nothing in BO’s brief resume to demonstrate his ability to ACHIEVE change. Anything else and you’re just Jimmy Carter redux, an inexperienced outsider who hasn’t got the tools to bring Congress on board with his agenda.
Say what you will about Hillary, but when I look at her, I think, this is a gal who will KNOW how to flex her Presidential power when she’s got it.
Vote Obama.WHOOT, WHOOT.

The funny thing is,if the Democrats really want to win the ticket is going to have be Obama/Clinton or Clinton/Obama… so hurling insults at either candidate is useless.
You need to find something about Clinton you like as well as Obama and get over it. We need to rally behind both of them no matter the outcome and hopefully we can get this country back on track.
Edwards has no chance, he already was part of two failed campaign attempts…let it go John let it go.
Why is Hillary better?
Her and the Bush’s go hand in hand IMO. Vote for her, vote for more years of Bush.
Look at how closely the elder Bush and Bill Clinton work together. Look at how Hillary voted for Iraq, even knowing what she knew, having her husband there to inform her. They wanted this war too. Just like they wanted the TLC and all the other trade agreements, that has increased illegal immigration and transferred work elsewhere. Hillary is dirty IMO and I used to support the Clintons. I don’t anymore because I’m not stupid.
I could give 2 sh*its about Oprah and who she supports. Obama and John Edwards would be a great ticket and I hope that’s what works out.

Roseanne is just angry her opinions don’t carry as much weight as Oprah’s does. She wishes she had that kind of clout. I don’t care for Oprah, but Roseanne’s jealous is obvious.

Oprah gives away a lot of money and she is the first to let you know about it. Do not need celebrity endorsements. If the candidate can elucidate his/her platform, no celebrity can or should help him or her. Either candidate in the Democratic party would work for me.

I certainly don’t like Roseanne BUT I agree with pretty much every point she makes.
I don’t mind Oprah but she does have a huge African-American chip on her shoulder even though White America accepted her a long time ago & made her what she is today. I think her support of Obama is more for her own satisfaction - it’s just about a black guy running america for her.
Jade, you’d have to be crazy not to see it. It’s obvious how closely linked the Bushs and Clintons are it’s not even funny.
Because why did she vote for Iraq, knowing her husband was there to advise her? No one even asked that question. Knowing as First lady she was there with all the prior info she got.
Experience can come, corruption, however is what I’m weary of.
It took me a while to get on the Obama train, because I don’t fall for just anything, but being in the industry I’m in and know what I know, and ain’t know why I’m voting for a corrupt Clinton.
Change is possible, hope is what we need. I’m voting for Barack Obama.

Oprah made it sound like Obama was some sort of deity. It scared me, it was like he was a new religion or something.
The media is cheerleading for Obama, there’s no doubt about it.
I’m well educated and am not a ’stay at home type of woman’, but I do enjoy some of Oprah’s shows - she’s great at inspiring people but of course she’s self-serving - it’s her show!
All that being said, I think Roseanne has some valid points and believe Hilary is the best PERSON for the job. Wish I could vote for her!

I live in Atlanta Ga, and even though my state is mostly republican, I also know the republicans want her to win because they have all the playbooks on how to defeat her,
obama is a curveball, and republicans have to defeat their own worst ememy- GEORGE W BUSH.
If hilary wins the primaries, you can most certainly believe that McCain or Huckabee will be president.

What exactly is an African-American chip, is it different from a regular chip? Or because she’s African-American you label her chip that way?
Hillary is not the best person for the job. She is GWB in sheeps clothing.
Anyone who can’t see that, hasn’t really looked at her policies.

You know what I find interesting about Roseanne, is that, she states she’s for the little people and wants to help the working everyday American, and yet doesn’t use this time to support John Edwards, who is fights for the same ideals Roseanne says she supports?
She wants to vote for Hillary because she’s a woman. Forget the fact that Hillary voted for Iraq, something Roseanne is against, forget the fact that the former Clinton signed a lot jobs away with trade agreement, forget all that, vote for Hillary because she has a v*agina and she’ll legalize abortion or whatever . ..
Forget Hillary she’s GWB in sheeps clothing and I’m not buying it.
