Roseanne Barr Hates Oprah
Actress/comedian Roseanne Barr has made some wild accusations in her latest blog about talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Here’s a summary of what she said (with spelling and grammar fixed):
– Barack is an empty suit selling “hope” in lieu of Truth
– Oprah helped to elect Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have no doubt that she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay their “fair share” of Cali tax.
– Oprah has given us Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope.
– Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too. You are a closeted republican and chose Barack because you do not like other women who actually stand for something to working American Women besides glamour, angels, Hollywood and dieting!
– It is historical that Oprah, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience…and sells that to the female demographic who look to her for inspiration!
OUCH!!!!!

What a loser, she claims oprah doesn’t like other women who can stand for something but how come she didn’t give any names of who thoses women are???? I’ve never seen oprah insulting someone or bringing down other people like she and rosie does WHAT A HYPOCRITE its not about oprah because oprah is not the only big named celeb that support obama. This is about Obama himself just because she don’t like him she want to try and make him and people who like him look bad it might work for the idiots but it will not work for people like me because inteligent ppl see right thru her, she also said hilary has so called 35 years of experinces and obama has no ideas or plans , hilary have 35 years of experince doing WHAT? because I know its not politically experince and if obama does not have any plans then what plans does hilary have?? spare me the BS people should ignore her

I think what people are forgetting is that Bill Clinton had tremendous international clout, he was liked and respected and so was Hillary. America’s world influence is tattered and needs repair badly.
Also for the poster who claimed that Hillary would not get along with others in the Senate or Congress, not true at all. The press and insiders have been overwhelmingly surprised how she has mended many bad ties with powerful senators and congressmen while as Senator. She is coming into her own right now.
I agree that Bill is older AND wiser. He would not repeat what happened to him as president. He is aware all the world is looking at his behavior if Hillary would be President. He got “lucky” regarding his behavior and as much as the news crucified him, Hillary stood out.

You should learn to read carefully before you comment.
Jared, you should have printed this with all of Roseanne’s grammar erros to show how completely illiterate she is. Besides are women, housewives, forgetting Hillary’s infamous statement years ago that she is not some “Tammy Winnette “Stand by your man woman baking cookies at home?”. Yeah Hillary, there are many women who happen to be housewives who care for their children and bake cookies at home. Are they not worth your vote or are they now that you want the Presidency? What a fake she is. Hmm, most self-respecting women would NOT stand by their men after he cheated on them with the office intern. But you did. Yeah, really feminist and progressive of you Hillary. ANd as for Roseanne, she married Tom Arnold. Case closed. This now “Z” list celeb has been is finished. She is poison. She is a nightmare to work with which is the reason why she has not been able to make a deal for a new show since her show ended. Roseanne, who is the publicity seeking has been now? Get a grip. You don’t have to vote for Hillary just cause she is a woman. You vote for who is real and genuine. Hillary is old school politics. And she needs to explain why she voted for the Iraq war twice.
That ugly COW is jealous that Oprah is so successful, and she’s not. Oprah has a long running tv talk show, and Roseanne the COW’s talk show bombed.
Roseanne is a UGLY ASS JEALOUS MOOSE.
ROSEANNE IS A HAS BEEN, WHO IS JUST MAD THAT NO ONE CARES ABOUT HER PSYCHOTIC ASS.
Eff that has been, Roseanne.
***hilary voted for the war in Iraq, she gets no vote from me!!!!
Rose is a rambling old psychotic has been. Who has to say stupid ass sh*t to get people to notice her.
Hillary is a nasty mud slinger and the Republicans are gonna tear her ass up. All those scandals will resurface and it will be a damn circus if her phony ass is nominated. Whitewatergate, Monicagate, Travelgate, Vince Fostergate. All that will resurface.
So let me get this straight. Oprah is supporting Obama because he’s black and that is wrong. But Roseanne is supporting Hillary because she is a white woman and that’s okay. Oprah has the right to support any candidate she chooses, as does Roseanne. If this is the type of person that is supporting Hillary, and by that I mean a person who is willing to be divisive and racist, then there is no way that I would support a Hillary Presidency. It would be sad if the Dems became the party of the racists.
April @ 01/10/2008 at 2:33 pm Against abortion? That would be the only positive thing about him if it’s true. I can’t for the life of me understand why people can’t see the problem with that. I understand that abortion may HAVE to be used in some circumstance but those circumstances should be very huge medical and health issues. Not just because some loose woman wants to get rid of a baby. I am so sick of this even being an issue. More people worry about eating beef and all the poor, poor, little abused animals than they do about actual human babies being torn into pieces and thrown in the trash. Anyone who is FOR abortion loses my vote just for that!
———————————————————————————————-
The problem with the anti-abortionist is they think those who are pro-choice are those who want abortions. They don’t! They want choice!
And like it or not it is less an ethical issue than an economic one. If abortion was illegal only the poor (the ones society allways wags their finger at) would be penalized. The rich, as they allways do, would find a way to circumvent such laws with no one. REAL liberals understand this fact of reality. If such laws came to be once again the majority of us would revert to apathy and indifference to those rich folks refusing to be ruined by such laws and the poor who we see as deserving their squalor. This is the truth; morality has allways had such contradictions determined as it were by privilege and wealth.

Exactly! I found it strange that some people wanted her to divorce him after what happened. Hey, he is her husband. He is her business. She helped him then. Now, if she makes it, he will help her.
It reminds me of people (haters) criticizing Brad for hooking up with Angie, a woman they call all kinds of ugly names. They are so wrong.
It’s his life, his decision. She is his business.
Then Brad said it’s the best thing he has ever done, the best thing that happened to him, and now the haters call him all kinds of ugly names too. Why do people like to interfere in other people’s private affairs!
One week is long in politics. It’s a few weeks before we know who will be the candidate. Very interesting!

I agree! Everybody has sex. The rich woman will go overseas for an abortion, the poor woman can’t do it.

Hi TeamLaraCroft,
I understand where you are coming from, but being a feminist does not automatically mean that you leave your husband because he “cheats” on you…it’s more complicated than that. There are also many women, who are feminists whose husbands have “cheated” on them and for many reasons chose to work through the process than be angry and just leave.
You are spouting “angry” feminist rhetoric and I don’t mean to be critical, but as a long time feminist myself, not strident like many, but politically active, my associates who hold public offices, have fraternized with Bella Abzug and the like would not jump to such conclusions and to criticize another woman’s approach to such a delicate issue…that is what true feminism is about…each woman makes up her own mind and follows through in her own manner. The original premise of Feminism as Steinem Friedan, Chisholm and many others worked towards is the spirit that women have a choice and have equal opportunity…not about being angry, bitchy or the like. Please take another look at feminism from a historical point of view and do not deviate from it’s true intent.
Rosanne is right. Other public figures are too afraid to call Oprah out.
You would think Oprah’d support a woman with a lot of experience and determination, being one herself and knowng how hard it is to succeed among men in an industry dominated by males.
Instead she chose race as her determining factor. Obama is trully selling a dream without a plan. He is not certain about any issue, exept his stupid sales pitch “Americans are ready for change”. He is clueless.
P.S: H.Clinton has more balls than Obama ever wished he had

Amen to that! Although I would definitely divorce my husband if he cheated on me, but that’s because there are too many diseases out here nowadays to mess around like that. But I won’t knock another woman if she decides to do the opposite. It’s her choice and she’s the one who’s got to live with her decision in the end, not me.
For the light of me, I’m at a loss on why people think Hillary Clinton has more experience than Obama. She was NOT the president of the United States, her husband was. The only position she has held outside of the White House is being a senator which is the exact same position Obama was in. She went to law school, but so did Obama so Im loss on how Senator Clinton is now more experienced when you look at hindsight, they are both pretty equal for as education and political position. I’m no offense to Sen. Clinton bc I love her but Im just calling a spade a spade.

You are right feminism was created to give women options, respect, credibility and to empower themselves.
Women were treated as second class citizens in America until the feminist movement was created and helped to improve the plight of women. You are also correct there are many women who do not leave their husband because he’s cheated, but you have to be a DAMNED fool to stick with a man who is constantly disrespecting you. It has nothing to do with being angry or bitter. It is about self-respect and Hilary in this situation seems to lack it. It takes more strength to walkaway from a bad situtation, than to stay and take the abuse.
Lewinsky Fowers were just two we know about, I am pretty sure there are more. What type of marriage do you have when you have one partner who cannot keep their vows? Why would you stay with a man who constantly disrespects you? Simple, she knows a divorce would ruin her chances at the Presidency, that is why she stays with him.
I hate to admit it but I kinda agree with her on most of these points.
Oprah’s power over women does go the wrong way many times. With her current power, she needs to be extra careful about what she endorses. Remember that million pieces book? Do your homework and check the quality of what u endorse. Dr. Phil is a bad enough mistake for all your life
