OlderRoseanne Barr Hates Oprah
Actress/comedian Roseanne Barr has made some wild accusations in her latest blog about talk show host Oprah Winfrey and Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama. Here’s a summary of what she said (with spelling and grammar fixed):
– Barack is an empty suit selling “hope” in lieu of Truth
– Oprah helped to elect Arnold Schwarzenegger. I have no doubt that she voted her purse by doing this, as she is a large land owner in California, and that ilk fears Dems because they do not want to pay their “fair share” of Cali tax.
– Oprah has given us Dr. Phil. If that was not offensive enough to decent thinking people, now she brings us Obama. He has no ideas, no plan and nothing to add other than the cynical pacification of the masses with bedtime stories about hope.
– Oprah, you play the race card and the gender card too. You are a closeted republican and chose Barack because you do not like other women who actually stand for something to working American Women besides glamour, angels, Hollywood and dieting!
– It is historical that Oprah, beloved of women, chooses a flashy man with small credentials over a seasoned woman politician with 35 years of experience…and sells that to the female demographic who look to her for inspiration!

Roseanne Barr is trash. I can’t stand her. Who’s playing the race card? B…….tch.
Vote Barack. At least he has been consistent. Hillary voted for the war. Case closed. And like someone said, what do you want someone with more experience who has been making mistakes longer or someone who has a little less but has made all the right decisions? Bush has lots of experience but do you all want him as your leader? Hillary is so see through. boo hoo crying to be the more compassionate Hillary. GIVE ME A BREAK. Overnight Hillary? Overnight? She is so fake. If she is the candidate eventhough I am a die hard Democrat - I will vote Independent. I refuse to vote for her fakeness.
Also, I was not saying that a woman who accepts her husband’s cheating can’t be a feminist. I am simply saying her attitude toward Bill’s philandering is at odds with this strong woman and self-respecting woman. I am led to believe she stayed with him for political reasons and not for love and trust. That over-calculating is what turns me off from her. She is sooooooo calculating. She attacked women who stayed home and “baked cookies” but what about her who stood by Bill despite his disrespect of her? I am just saying she is a hypocrite.
Yes, Hilary voted for the war and has admitted that much. That is why I trust that she will have a better strategy in easing our troop presence in Iraq. What is BO going to do? Pout and yank everyone out immediately because he never voted for war in the first place? Despite his tough, hope talk, strategy and diplomacy are still more pragmatic. Like many, Hilary now sees the truth and difficulty in dealing with Iraq (heck, the whole region for that matter) and with her foreign policy experience, I certainly trust her ability more than BO’s.
obama sucks. we all know it.
rosanne is right- he has no plan. what is this friggin country coming too? do you all wanna c this country go down the tubes, and if you do, don’t worry because obama and /or clinton will do it no matter what.
and i love oprah but rosanne is also right about the race card and gender thing. not trying to be racist, but come on people, if obama wasnt black or arabian or w/e he is, oprah wouldnt even support him. and we ALL know it

People should make up their mind about Oprah. First they criticize her for being too nice to Whites by hugging her guests, or having White guests or starting the careers of Dr. Phil, Rachel Ray and so many others. But when she chooses the candidate from her home state as her favorite candidate, people claim she is a racist. Make up your minds. Maybe YOU are all seeing race in this. Like I said before, Obama’s mother is WHite. His father was not in his life afte rthe age of 2 or 4 then he lived with a step-father who was Asian. He is mulitcultural - a concept that so many of you who are so attacked to old ways of thinking cannot grasp. Obama has traveled in many worlds. The realityy is when you are running for the Presidency of America, people want you to define yourself so he has no choice but to identify as Black because that is how so many see him but his life experience and his genetics are more complex than that. His mother was White. Oprah has helped many many White people in her life -. But I guess people just skip over this minor fact. And like I said before, Roseanne is known to be a completely imbalanced psycho that no one likes to work with. She had huge problems working in Hollywood which is why she has since not been able to get a deal. She is just an angry cow. Also, with Obama supporters you are seeing something revolutionary - people who are registered Rebublicans find themselves supporting him as are Democrats. There is no “you have to” when choosing a candidate. We, as Americans, have the right to support who we like and who is the former Mrs Tom Arnold to tell us or anyone how to think? Tis from the same woman who claims when she was a newborn, she has recollections of her mother abusing her - she remembers this, she claims, from her days as a newborn. The woman is a mess. And she needs to shut up and get used to being a has been rather that yapping in her illiterate way. Please.

Jared is brilliant that this is posted here as it has generated this many hits and responses. On the most parts, the comments have been intelligent and thoughtful.
What does Roseanne stand for?? She’s just upset because Oprah is not promoting her candidate of choice–Hillary. Hill and Bill are noted crooks (remember Whitewater) and Roseanne should be trying to get the vote out of others of their ilk rather than criticizing Oprah.
I don’t particularly like Oprah either but she can support whomever she wants, as can the rest of us.
With obama’s inexperience, he’s just hasn’t much of the opportunity to become too apparently crooked yet. But he will. Don’t buy his change message wholesale. You’ll only be disappointed, but by then it’s too late.

Shockingly, and for the first time ever, I’m going to have to agree with her 100%. I’ve been saying this for a while about him.

Oprah is either a dimwit or a tool of political and corporate thieves. By pushing for Arnold she pushed for the Energy Giants who are robbing us all. She only protects her own personal interests. Oprah has always struck me as either dumb or a religious freak pushing it as dope to those among female housewives who are brainwashed to bow down to men. She’s the hokiest of them all, I was never fooled or a fan. She tries to sound hip but she always sounds ghetto. She’s never said a thing intelligent. She promotes hack writers with madeup backgrounds. She’s a product spokesman, that’s all.
Obama would make a decent used car salesman. He comes off as an insincere Southern Baptist minister. His voice is grating AND he says nothing. He speaks in generalities that stink of cliches and religious hogwash such as “yes we can” stealing that from the Villaraigoso campaign, a slogan that I started online along with “take back America” which meant all of us Americans taking it back from the oligarchs and bankers, it had nothing to do with ethnicity. Obama Hussain is boring, and appears extremely vain. He might appeal to robots. He’s waiting air time, diluting the issues. He might as well be just chanting “Jesus loves you” as if that means anything. It’s impossible for dead men to love anything or anyone. Even if my late grandmother left me ten million dollars she’d still be incapable of loving anything from six feet under. But I can say with all truthfulness she loved me. Hussain reminds me of that militant radical minister who was killed for preaching violence against whites without even knowing what a white person is. I mean if all whites are alike then all blacks are alike, that’s more truth than the dead black minister would admit, but in his small mindedness that’s what his ignorant ideas suggested. When I walk past the TV set I flick Hussain’s face with my fingers and tell him to shut his stupid mouth. I’d rather watch my billionth Tide commercial. The last thing this country needs right now or ever is an idiot minister/amatueur in the executive positive.

She is a nut and Oprah isn’t the only person who owns land in California. What if she plays the race card? Why can’t a person of color as if you are white sad but true the world IS your oyster. They are all better than what the US has had for 8 yrs. Intelligent, articulate and have been in politics. I think they all have exp. but just because Hilary was married to a President MIGHT not make her a good President. All I can say is get out and vote. Can’t complain if you don’t do anything in Nov.
