Show Me: The Brad Pitt Museum
A museum dedicated to Brad Pitt is reportedly in the early stages of planning in the “Show Me” state of Missouri - Brad’s home state.
Brad, 44, was raised in the Mid-west and local residents of his hometown in Springfield are hoping to construct a building in his honor.
Pals George Clooney and Don Cheadle had a blast with the news!
Don: “I would run tours. I would allow myself to be ensconced in wax. I would do whatever it takes to see that the Brad Pitt museum is a 100% success!”
George: “I’d pay a good $4.50 to go to that museum!”

Felinelilly, I’ve been in contact with JJ concerning that running script message and the slowness of the previous threads. He wasn’t aware of it when I first contacted him. I even called Microsoft on Wednesday to have them check my computer to see if the problem was mine. They were really nice. The tech spent about an hour and a half trying to see if the problem was an a Microsoft Internet Explorer problem. He even logged on to JJ and experienced the same problem we were having. I had already contacted Comcast. And they said the problem wasn’t theirs. I contacted Jared again and gave him my findings. The previous thread was moving a little faster. But I was still getting that running script message. Hopefully Jared will fix it. As it is very annoying. Peace.

Yes. This is what cracks me up about the FF’ers. They were so gloaty and obnoxious over Thanksgiving, wanting to believe that mean old Angie was refusing to let poor Brad see his family that he’s just so close to. When the hilarious part? Is that Brad and Jen spent their Thanksgivings in L.A. You can even go back to their old interviews and see mentions of them spending holidays with the LeBlancs, the Arquettes, etc. Jen was not some family booster, constantly keeping Brad in touch with his family.
Anytime I see a tabloid trying to sell “Brad the clean-cut guy who loves Missouri and who just wants to settle down in Malibu and stop traveling and slow down on having kids”, I want to force them to read his interviews from before he ever met Angelina. When he talked about wanting 7 kids. Or when he talked about how he thought he’d want to go to Europe to raise his family. Or when he talked about how he very rarely got back to Missouri. Brad has never been this all-american wholesome guy that the tabs try to sell. He’s every bit as odd as Angelina. And I mean that in a good way.

People need to read his interviews pre-Aniston, hell, even his RS 1999, the reporter had to come to Brad in Spain because Brad got Aniston to go there, it was the last time she’d ever vacation in Europe that wasn’t somehow work related for Brad or herself.
Interviewers were always having to chase him down in some part of the world and he’d drag them here, there and everywhere. Brad used to frustrate the hell out of his family, friends, agents and managers because he’d just, at the drop of hat, pack a bag and take off for places unknown and they couldn’t find him or get a hold of him until he called or dropped a postcard.
Brad’s a good guy. That running theme is very accurate and as David Fincher says, you just can’t hate on him. But, Fincher also described Brad accurately when he said that Brad is happiest when he’s stirring the pot and he’s a hell of a lot more like Tyler Durden, his character in Fight Club, than would make the public comfortable with. But, that’s he’s just got so much charisma and is such a good guy, that it’s all good.
And when you have veteraned ent. people lose their s h i t when you enter a room, then you know that there is a lot going on there.
Thanks 4Q for the new pics. Brad’s hair kills me. I didn’t know, at first what to make of it at the CCA, than it hit me, it’s so Brad. He’s done that look on alot of occasions and he pulls if off.
And he and Angelina were just enjoying each other and people were getting a kick out of them.

I’ve been MIA for a few days, but I have that problem only when I load the entire thread. I think I saw a post yesterday when I was reading through the thread where someone asked me what’s causing it, but I didn’t respond because it was from 2 days ago and I assumed the issue had been fixed.
Basically the problem is that there’s a Javascript running when the pages load and there’s a programming glitch in the script. It may not even been Jare’d script because so many of those damned banner ads come with scripts that allow the advertisers to gather information for click-thru statistics, which they then in turn use to pay the website hosting the ad or as a basis for determining how much to charge their clients to post ads for them. Hope that exclamation makes sense.

I like how he manages to shoot his commercial whenever his family are.this show how much she cares to be with his family.remember Prague and Chicago and India.he is just one dedicated partner and father.and commercial’s movie have their own costume as well maybe he had to remove that ring and please don’t act like he didn’t wear his wedding ring since we are not even sure IF that ring is from Angie or not.
I think they are back in L.A because they probably want their children attend same school as much as they can and they will remove them from one school to another when they have to not always.now that both brad and Angie are free from working,kids can attend same school until Brad starts his movie in Austin and then I think they will go there as family.It is my opinion though.

Two things -
When Brad found out how much Angie loves traveling, if he hadn’t fallen for her before that…this was probably the clincher. He probably thought, “Hallelujah! A woman who doesn’t think going to Me-hi-co is ‘traveling’!”
Secondly, the Fincher comment about Brad being more like Tyler Durden than people would be comfortable with. That totally cracks me up. We were just talking about how the tabloids foist this midwestern born ethos on Brad when it couldn’t be further from the truth. A second program of note today was Angelina Jolie’s appearance on behalf of global education for children of poverty. The Jolie-Pitt collaboration is well represented here. Earlier today Brad (see pix) anounced a $5 million commitment to build new housing in New Orleans. Then this afternoon Ms. Jolie (see pix)stepped to a podium at the New York Sheraton amid a strobe flash firestorm and explained the partnership she’s built during six years of globe trotting on behalf of the world’s refugee children. Her project, Children of Conflict, combines 18 organizations globally to educate children, including Nike and Microsoft.
I haven’t attended many news conferences featuring Entertainment Tonight superstar celebrities. I was impressed with Ms. Jolie’s intellect and poise. She has clear command of her subject, the result of a global travel schedule that Nicholas Kristof, the New York Times columnist, said today was more active than most UN Secretaries General. President Clinton today commended her work on an American initiative for childhood eduction. Her message was straightforward. “Just a few hours of spending in Iraq would send 150,000 children to school,” she said. “We have to get our priorities in order.”

I’m told there may be even some A-list actors helping the Hollywood Foreign Press Association hold its 30-minute press conference now open to all media since the Writers Guild has agreed to back off its threat to picket since NBC won’t be involved. So what I reported yesterday has come to pass: NBC has decided not to air an exclusive newscast of the HFPA announcing the Golden Globe winners. Sources tell me that NBC Universal boss Jeff Zucker was receiving “push back” from the network’s news division over the blurring of the line between news and entertainment. “The news people were upset at being used to cover Zucker’s mistakes,” an insider explained to me. I just checked with the Writers Guild and received this exclusive statement: “We were pleased to give the HFPA assurances that we will not picket nor will we be opposed to a small number of talent helping to announce the winners. Because the HFPA has been honorable and respectful and honest with us, unlike many of the other parties involved in this situation.”

Sophia also had affairs and was very open with her life, she’s honest like Angie.
Audrey’s family members were in concentration camps, her health was rather fragile due to WW2 and deprivations, her first husband routinely cheated on her including while she was pregnant with her first child, she admitted affairs with her costars, her second husband who was younger did the same thing to her while she was pregnant with her second child, she too like Angie was a very honest woman who accepted people without disparaging them.

Cutting is common and signals depression, great unhappiness, fellings of no control over one’s life, for example. I love Sophia Loren but Carlo Ponti was also married. It hard to live a totally perfect life. And frankly its better to sow your oats when you’re young. Just because Brad and Angie don’t talk to the tabs doesn’t mean that other people don’t. There are alot of stars and people who do talk to the tabs. Case in point, Jon Voight did talk to Life & Style last year whining about Angie and her brother. It was in a tabloid, but he really did talk to them. If it’s so clear to you, then why are you still wrong? The point is - don’t hold up two of HW’s greatest actresses as shining examples of goodness and light when you know nothing about their pasts. They’re flawed human being just like Angie is. And yes, in that aspect, Angie is very much like A. Hepburn & Sophia Loren.
The difference beween Angie and most celebs is that Angie has owned up to her past. How many current A-list celebs can you name that do the same? When I was growing up Sophia, Audrey and Elizabeth among others were all the News. Elizabeth was a favorite of one of my friends mom and Elizabeth was always at it, getting with Eddie, and with Burton (Richard), I think she got married like 7 times while I was little (laughing) Still, she did do Aids awareness as a charity. Actually by todays standards I think Angie is pretty mild. And she’s still young. None of the stars mentioned

I’m bringing this over from the other thread. People need to read his interviews pre-Aniston, hell, even his RS 1999, the reporter had to come to Brad in Spain because Brad got Aniston to go there, it was the last time she’d ever vacation in Europe that wasn’t somehow work related for Brad or herself.
Interviewers were always having to chase him down in some part of the world and he’d drag them here, there and everywhere. Brad used to frustrate the hell out of his family, friends, agents and managers because he’d just, at the drop of hat, pack a bag and take off for places unknown and they couldn’t find him or get a hold of him until he called or dropped a postcard.
Brad’s a good guy. That running theme is very accurate and as David Fincher says, you just can’t hate on him. But, Fincher also described Brad accurately when he said that Brad is happiest when he’s stirring the pot and he’s a hell of a lot more like Tyler Durden, his character in Fight Club, than would make the public comfortable with. But, that’s he’s just got so much charisma and is such a good guy, that it’s all good.

When Brad found out how much Angie loves traveling, if he hadn’t fallen for her before that…this was probably the clincher. He probably thought, “Hallelujah! A woman who doesn’t think going to Me-hi-co is ‘traveling’!”
Secondly, the Fincher comment about Brad being more like Tyler Durden than people would be comfortable with. That totally cracks me up. We were just talking about how the tabloids foist this midwestern born ethos on Brad when it couldn’t be further from the truth. It must amuse him greatly that sooooooo many of people underestimate or misread him. It’s frustrating as hell for the fans because we know Brad’s not what they paint him to be, but it seems that’s what the American public wants to believe about him, so Brad happily lets them believe whatever the hell they want.

Spot on to both of you. Most antis only see it from what they know of Jen and what tabloid rubbish they believe. ‘Cause really at the end of the day it was just another Hollywoodd divorce. Sometimes people get married thinking they will bring the other person around to their goals, dreams and wants in life. It wasn’t working that way for B&J. Neither were the partner the other one needed to fulfill their life………………….which we are all entitled to. This realization came forth long before MAMS. Jen’s interview when she was asked if he was the love of her life was very telling. It was a dumb question but her answer had questions marks written all over it and that was February of ‘03. It didn’t work out for them. Marriages end all the time. It didn’t shock the world as far as I’m concerned. But then again, I didn’t see their marriage as a litmus test for married life.
Too often, it seems, people need a good guy/bad guy in a divorce. Lots of times it’s neither. Just two people parting ways because it’s just not what one or the other wants it to be, as much as some may want it to be forever, that isn’t how it always works.
A & B are hardly the case for public humiliation. Johnny Cash & June Carter’s relationship during his marriage was very public for a couple of years before both of their divorces happened. Paul Newman & Joanne Woodward fell in love during their first movie together. They married a week after his divorce was final. Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy had a very long relationship throughout his marriage. Being Catholic, Spencer didn’t get a divorce back then. In all of these cases the wives were mainly stay at home moms. It seems silly that this case is looked at as “shocking” or grounds for lamenting and lambasting B & A.IMO
Sure we can feel bad for people going through a divorce. In Jen’s words it was ‘the death of a marriage’. Knowing a number of people who went through a divorce with children involved and far more severe circumstances–we were friends with one couple’s marriage ending in murder because divorce wasn’t something he wanted. And they were uber professional people–dual income with kids. That situation of the death of the mother and dad in jail is far more tragic than a hollywood couple who were growing in different directions. Regardless of what people may insinuate as a third party. There are two people in a marriage and two that decide said marriage is ending.
Whoever said the thing about Angelina being open and honest is right. So much of her past that we know about is because she was open and honest. Many in Hollywood would not consider revealing themselves that way. They worry about public opinion instead of saying “yea, I did that”.
I’m tired of reading the ‘photo ops’ posts. Any celeb we are seeing is participating in the photo ops as far as I’m concerned. Old Hollywood practiced this alot. Usually set up by the studios though. Rock Hudson and his girlfriends come to mind. Recently, I will say, when the photos of Jen and Brad’s mom surfaced on Father’s Day (and why was being seen with Jane instead of her own dad is stumpefying), the papz were informed of that meeting. No doubt. Then there were the rumours of Courteney and Jen being on the outs and lo and behold we have pictures of them vacationing together to prove people wrong. If people are going to accuse B&A of doing that, then they need to look at the whole picture.
Yep, celebrities are in some contact with the press and reserve some control of their photos. So be it. The worst offender is Britney Spears who let’s them know of her Starbucks, Taco Bell, gas station and ‘I’m going to flash my squeegee shots’.

I would have too, I think birthdays are more fun in the summer(or the tropics) for kids. Somehow (I live in NY) the attendance at the summer birthdays May - August is better, than the January - March ones ( I have a son born January 9) some years there is ice and snow and worst right after the holidays. Plus it’s award season and the strike is in the news. But we(fans) celebrated, perhaps a picture will surface. I also would have like to see a picture with her pink coat and boots.

I am doing good, just got home from work a little while ago and I joined the gym today, this year for me it is all about keeping healthy and fit, and taking care of of myself and plus I will turn a little older come Tuesday lol

I read far too many sites that have people dissing on a B&A for very innocuous things…..I’m annoyed tonight.
We have Vince’s interview saying he had a year and a half relationship with Jen. Jen’s infamous VF interview in Sept. 05 saying she wasn’t in a relationship with anyone. But, yet, B&A sneeze or some lameass tab is quoting a source or a quote from an interview that never happened and it’s the truth. Either VV is lying or Jen is and since we have canoodling photos, please pot stop calling the kettle black.
It was a divorce, not the end of the world. People lived through it. No one is that special that the regurgitation of diatribes and flaming insults is acceptable. JennA will be okay.
I will say I lurk on other sites and find it entertaining that people have posted countless times that they are not a JA fan. But somehow still manage to squeeze in comments about her inner and natural beauty. And think she has class with the way she has handled everything. Please, at least own up to your true opinion (and please let that opinion be based on substantiated facts not tabloids and gossip mongers) and if your knowledge is based off of heresay and tabloids, you might want to rethink some things.
I have no idea if B&A are in it for the long haul. The pictures I’ve seen tell me they are enjoying each other and for now, it is what it is
I will say that ten years ago, B&A seemed like a far more likely couple than B&J did. Based on his quirky interviews, her wild side and damn…the fact they have always looked liked two people who should hook up.
Their pictures from the last awards show look so easy, natural and fun.

Will is so deep in the closet that he bumped into Eddie Murphy and Johnny Gill holding hands and singing, “Party All The Time” and “Rub You The Right Way” to each other.

justjazz - you have to check out Aaron Eckhart in ‘Thank You for Smoking’ - he’s pretty damn funny. I think he was a lawyer in Erin Brockovich, wasn’t he? He’s in a few films and I always enjoy his performances.
Now as for Gia - a total must see movie for any fan of Angelina!! Keep an eye on your movie channels etc. It’s on every once in a while. Not sure about a site on the net, but try NetFlix maybe and I’ll bet you’ll come up with something. Have an awesome weekend!

Yeah…but not as much as Grandpa. Grandpa owns like 80-90% of the stock in the Hilton hotel empire and he’s giving 97% of his wealth to charity. IIRC the story said each of the grandkids would get $5MIL a piece. And we all know that’s not enough money to keep Paris in hoochie mama gear for more than week or two.

I just got caught up on just the past week and people like ritzy and the haters had a very bad week didn’t they? LMAO!
All of their hopes and theories all dashed in just about 7 days. Three years of pontificating about this, that or the other and how it is today all blew to hell in a handbasket without Brad and Angelina even trying.
Angelina pictured OUT with Brad’s family. Their sister in law, Lisa, Doug’s wife, talking about how great it is when they’re in Springfield and how often they come and aren’t disturbed. And how cool it is for them and their entire family. Angelina, very heavily, factors into Lisa’s entire family part of the equation.
Brad and Angelina being the center of attention at the CCA’s and the industry that is supposed distain them, showed just how much they’re actually liked and respected and Brad and Angelina, didn’t even have to leave their chairs.
Angelina may or may not be pregnant. Only they know, but, knowing that the sheer thought that she is, is most likely causing distress for the naysayers, just is comical.
I’m sure without having to read through the entire posts from the CCA’s that they haters lost it and just couldn’t handle that Brad and Angelina look and act very happy and everyone saw it and recognized it and saw that Brad and Angelina just enjoy the hell out of each other and it’s a GOOD thing. LOL.
Brad’s MIR project is off to a fine start and people are genuinely appreciative of his genuine efforts to get things done that the govt. couldn’t.
Ahhh, 2008 is going to be a good year. Good times. Good times.

Maureen - I remember wondering why Angie and Brad hadn’t hooked up too!! They are each other’s equal. Also, they just seemed so likely to be together and the outcome today is obvious - they really were having such a fun time at the CCA. Well we all know Angie gets giggly when she’s pregnant ;-) There seems to be a BIG gap in their schedules this year from the spring until the fall, IIRC. Judging by their family plans, I’d say they have pretty solid plans for the future :D

Talking about her movies, Angie was awesome in Playing By Heart. A star studded cast and many reviewers said she was the bright spot of the whole movie. Sean Connery & Gena Rowlands were her parents.
David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Jay Mohr, Ryan Phillipe and more were in it. Great , emotional movie.
Maureen - I haven’t seen that one in ages - really enjoyed it and Angie was good in it. The scenes with her and Ryan were really moving.

O2 - Thanks. We were all at his place for Christmas last year so it felt strange and was hard, but we got through it. I missed getting a Happy New Year from him on the 1st too :-( I’m just glad it’s over and we’re into a new year!! How were your holidays?
