Vanessa Hudgens arrives at the Rock Mafia Studio in Santa Monica, Calif. on Thursday. Looks like she got her hair straightened in the middle of the day!
The 19-year-old High School Musical star is set to act in feature film Will, which shoots February in Austin, Texas is about a battle of the bands at a high school.
Here’s a description of the role Vanessa will be playing: [SA5M] The 5 is silent. Sam is 15 years old, dressed down in black jeans and t-shirt, with hair strategically hiding her face from the world, she is a loner, one of the school’s outsiders, constantly seen with a book in hand. Smart, with a sense of humor and a lot of disdain for her shallow peers, Sam is a former stutterer and now speaks slowly and deliberately. She teams up with Will on a class project, and the two quickly discover they have a lot in common. Their friendship eventually takes the shape of a burgeoning romance. Brought on board as the lead singer for the band Will is managing, Sam emerges from her cocoon, demonstrating grit and commitment to perfection.

I believe Liam Aiken will be playing the lead role in “Will.” See his imdb.com page for more info. I think he is best known for “Stepmom” and “Lemony Snicket.”
I auditioned for the role of Will and the breakdown of the film had Sam being the popular girl and Will being the outcast. I don’t believe they changed that, but they very well could have.

#224 I think the plot of this movie sounds a lot more like “Lucas”* crossed with “School of Rock” then it does “High School Musical.” It’s like saying “HSM” and “Hairspray” were the same, indeed both were musicals and had similar stories outcast girl finds love with poplular boy. *Actually Gabriella wasn’t an “outcast” she was just the new girl* but you get my drift there were similarities.
Beside “Will” doesn’t sound like its a musical per se although it does deal with music. Anyway my point it is the aforementioned fillms are similar in that deal with teenagers. But they are very different as well.
*”Lucas” is a late ’80s teen film starring Cory Haim and Charlie Sheen. It’s about an outcast who eventually wins approval. It’s a good flick if you can find it I highly recommend checking it out.

#199 - as others have said, hate is a very strong word and holding hate for anyone affects the person harboring that feeling, you. So, everyone has a right to an opinion and many of us like Ashley too, but consider the word hate. Do you really feel that way? I hope it’s not something you hold a lot of in your life.

Also, #233 - again, your opinion…IMHO, watching that video you mentioned, I see a gal chatting nicely with another dancer at points, watching and listening to what Kenny, Zac, and Ashley are saying, smiling at the funny stuff and laughing along with them at some points. I think V gets a lot of judgment for “serious” looks. But, if she were smiling all the time, I have no doubt she’d get criticism for smiling “stupidly” or some such. Anyway, I don’t think we can tell anything from that video like you’re suggesting. Also, and I’m not bashing, I love Ashley, but if we want to get nitpicky, look at Ashley at a point or two in the Everyday rehearsal and the Humu rehearsal. She has some frowns/scowls/serious looks. I don’t suspect she’s being jealous or thinking mean thoughts about her friend V or being stuck on herself or any such things. I imagine you don’t either, so I don’t think we can assume that this is the case seeing V with more serious expressions. Anyway, my opinion.

Claire, those shots of Zac and Tracy are from promotions of HS. They’re not of them on dates. And if you’ll note, Zac is still wearing his commitment ring to Vanessa. And, yes, it is sad that people will go to such great lengths to try and convince themselves and others that a romantic relationship actually exists between Zac and Tracy.
