But the classic flat cap, popular with 19th-century longshoremen and 21st-century celebrities, should be known these days simply as the Brad Pitt.

The heartthrob humanitarian and his cap seem to be inseparable.

He donned a heathered newsboy with jeans and a T-shirt for a recent news conference in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward. Maybe Brad had some business to attend and met the rest of his family afterwards for a meal together. Our family does this all the time. Many of you make a big deal out of nothing. Glad to see them giving individual time to their kids. I believe little Shi had her individual restaurant time in NO. How fortunate for their children to have such caring parents!

The trolls are really pathetic. Begging for Brad to go back to X what three years and four kids. Shows what kind of lives they lead. Brad and Angie are not joined at the hip. Thank God. Hmmm, yes it could be a woman. It seems likely he would only say his “knees would buckle” when he saw the person if it were the opposite sex, right? Maybe not. He says it is only his opinion, so it could be his personal favorite even if not the top of the A list any more, like Clint or Redford. (Since it is Santa Barbara, hey maybe it’s OPRAH! I would love that!) But if in fact it is THE biggest name EVER, it really does have to be Brad. All the others as legendary as he has become seem to be dead. (Cary Grant, Frank Sinatra, etc.) Also, Kirk Douglas is still alive, feisty enough to do something like an awards presentation even with his disability, and was definitely a Great in his era. Don’t forget, he made an adorable comment about Angie a while back, something like he’d love to meet her if his wife would let him. Could it be Kirk Douglas?

That would be so cool if clint presented the award to angie. Whoever it is it’s all good. Lovely lovely sight, seeing the family out and about living their lives. Love Maddox having alone time with Mom, Dad, and Uncle Doug(who is looking good). Have seen more of Brad and Angie and his family together than ever did see before in Brad’s life in previous years. This reality has brought out the furious delusionals as it is more evidence of just how real and strong Brad and Angie are as a couple and a family, shows just how much the Jolie-Pitts are part of the Pitt family. They just cannot let themselves believe and accept that the Jolie-Pitt’s are so happy and content, that Brad and Angie totally love one another, because this violates and negates the makebelieve world they have constructed and live in.

My nephew loves these restaurants because they cook in front of you and the cook puts on a aerial food show…maybe one of the reasons Maddox also joined his parents and his uncle is because he enjoys the same thing.

Bottom line, if she is or isn’t will be clearly differentiated in the next few weeks. They tell what they want to tell, when they choose to.

Since Brad had to work, he met them at the restaurant which means he drove by himself. ie. picture of Brad alone.
It mentions Doug being there. Perhaps, he drove Angie and Mad to the restaurant. They all had dinner.
When they left, Angie and Mad got in Brad’s car ie. pictures in this thread. Doug drove himself back to their home.

Brad driving, Doug in front seat, Angie in backseat with Mad. They are in a black Mercedes SUV, paps are all up on the passengers side taking pixs as they leave. Brad dropped off Angie and Mad, then he and Doug parked and walked in. Paps then alerted that they were there and waited until they came out and got in the car and then paps took more pixs.

For Angelina’s pesenter, I’m thinking ‘Old Hollywood,’ a legend — that could be male or female.

I have five possibilities, none of them are Brad. The person writing, wrote about ‘knees buckling,’ as if witnessing something he doesn’t see very often — that’s somewhat of a surprise factor…well, as we all can attest, Brad Pitt has given us many delights and ‘knee buckling’ moments walking up the red carpet with Angelina. He’s going to be there with her anyway — like he is at every premiere (his and hers) like he was at the recent CCs, so the ‘knee buckling,’ thing wouldn’t be Brad.

Here are my possibilities:

1)Clint Eastwood: Like everyone that meets Angelina and even more who actually get to know her. I’m sure that he too, was impressed with her talent, and who she is as a person and human being. I bet he’d love to do the honors.

2)Jack Nicholson: He makes knees buckle for sure. He’s funny, and he’s cool. He’s also had incredible things to say about Angelina.

3)Paul Newman: They have a great many things in common. He’s one of the great actor/philanthropists, he’s beautiful, and a legend — and so is Angelina (yes, at 32, she already is - suck it haters!).

4)Robert Redford: AMH is an Indy film, small budget and the kind he lauds at Sundance. He is also a friend of Brad’s who, of course, produced the film. I could see this happening.

5)Morgan Freeman: Crazy about Angelina, as we know. Just in love with her. They also have an upcoming movie with ‘Wanted.’

6)Denzel Washington: Again, another heavy hitter and admirer of Angelina’s.

7) Elizabeth Taylor: This is a possibility. Again, dame Liz is a major philanthropist with her AIDS work, she’s a great beauty and a legend. I could see her doing it, and WANTING to do it, as she’s a great admirer of Angie’s, as it seems Angelina was part of a small group of women (2-3) who Liz said she’d loan her jewelry out to for the Oscars.

8) Meryl Streep: She knows Angelina, they are friends and worked with Yele Haiti together - they admire each other.

9)DeNiro: DeNiro too, thinks the world of Angie and admires her - bu DeNiro is incredibly shy and an introvert.

10)Jon Voight. Muahaha. Just kidding. I doubt Angie would show up if he presented. Not because she’d be mad - but because she’d know her Dad would give a drama queen performance to end all drama queen performances…he’d be a blubbering mess, and force the show to go into overtime.

11)Ugh. Guess who lives in Santa Barbara, part time? Oprah (Heave). I really wouldn’t want to see this AT ALL. But Oprah is enough of a media ***** and realizes she made a gargantuan mistake by sucking up to the TV sit-com hack and throwing slumber parties for her and her hens (where her minivans could gleefully fantasize about how Jen and her hens were talking about Brad and evil Angelina over hot cocoa on one big bed). Oprah ENCOURAGED that stupid tacky high school negative sh*t with the slumber parties and the champagne (as if to say, good for you grrrl, you are well-rid of him!) — and….PAY ATTENTION….WHEN, Oprah did THAT with the bad actress/TV woman, she made all the COOL Hollywood FILM megastar A-listers and classic legendary Hollywood FILM stars who ADMIRE Angelina Jolie, roll their eyes in DISGUST. BRAD especially. there is a reason why he hasn’t seen hide nor hair of Oprah in 3 years. He was super disgusted with her. Oprah is TRYING to make-up, as is Ellen (though she wasn’t as kiss azz to the hack as Oprah) by donating to MIR. It won’t work however, until Oprah does right by Angelina in Brad’s eyes, I bet. The REAL MOVIE STARS, looked at Okrah and Barry Maniston, shook their heads at the two cheesey TV ladies — and immediately embraced Brad and Angelina, as the real deal classy MOVIE STARS that they are. Opie knows this. Opie knows she had the equivalent of TEAM Elizabeth Taylor and TEAM Natalie from the FACTS of LIFE — and she CHOSE NATALIE from the Facts of Life!! Consequently, Oprah may now be trying to do damage control and work her way back in with Brad & Angelina. Oprah would love, LOVE to be ‘in’ with them. She recognizes her mistakes. So unfortunately, it could be her. However, ‘knees buckling,’ doesn’t necessarily speak to Oprah either, despite her kajillions, since you can see her azz every day at 4pm on the boob tube.

So those are my possibles.

You know this baby speculation of whether they are having a biological or adopted baby next reminds me of something. Remember how after Shi was born and Angie went on Anderson Cooper’s show and specified that they would adopt next? Remember how she did the same thing when she was promoting TGS at the end of 2006 and Diane Sawyer asked her if she was pregnant and she said that she had already said they would adopt next. And, she was telling the truth because they were in the process of adopting Pax. This time though, neither she nor Brad have specified about their next baby. They’ve just admitted that they’re ready for another one.

Ask the actors at this year’s NEWSWEEK Oscar roundtable—Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Daniel Day-Lewis, Marion Cotillard, James McAvoy and Ellen Page—to give a virtuoso performance, and they deliver. Ask them to scrunch down on a couch together for a photo shoot, and the result is a little more complicated. First, Angelina Jolie can’t stop cracking up. You wouldn’t be able to resist either if you were sitting next to Clooney. “In five minutes,” he says, by way of an attempted exit line, “I have to leave to audition for ‘Dancing with the Stars.’” McAvoy’s got his own issues: he’s forgotten to remove the tag on the bottom of his shoe, and an assistant runs over to pull it off. Day-Lewis looks positively bored. “Did you ever mark the exact moment your career began to fail?” asks Clooney, lamenting his photographic situation. The photographer tells him that he and the others are doing fine. To which Clooney responds: “I wasn’t talking about us.”

If there’s one thing these six actors don’t have to worry about, it’s failure. Surprisingly, they’re not so sure about that. “I was very scared,” said Jolie, who played Mariane Pearl, the wife of slain Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, in “A Mighty Heart.” “I talked face-to-face with the person I’d been playing. I continued to see her and her kids play. It’s very odd. She’s the most wonderful woman, and there was some kind of kinship that I felt with her and really truly loved her. It made me terribly nervous.” McAvoy recounted how, in only his third movie, he was told by the director “You’ll never work in Scotland again!”–then refused to give the audience at the Hammer Museum in Los Angeles more details. And Clooney, who already owns an Oscar trophy (for “Syriana”) regaled the crowd with stories about several of his failed TV pilots, including the one where the executive producer hired an acting coach for him and another where the mullet he had to wear still haunts him: “I have a list of really sh–ty shows that I was really sh–ty in.”

Some of the actors still marvel at their careers. Day-Lewis, who is considered the front runner for the best-actor Oscar for his performance in “There Will Be Blood,” discussed his first acting job. “I was 12 at the time,” he said. “There was a local grocer in southeast London who was the unofficial mayor of the parish. The casting agent asked her to round up all the local hooligans, of which I was one. She asked us originally to play soccer in the park. We were going to get two pounds for that. We thought that was insane. That’s what we did all the time anyway.”

This being the Oscar roundtable, talk naturally turned to whether or not there will be an Oscar telecast, given the Hollywood writers’ strike and the cancellation of the Golden Globes broadcast. The actors said they wouldn’t cross the picket line to attend the Oscar telecast next month if the Writers Guild of America is still on strike. What will happen if there are no Oscars? “The world will end,” joked McAvoy, who stars in “Atonement.” “It’s official. We were told so.” Added Jolie: “We’ll all go to George’s house.”

But “George’s House,” turns out to come equipped with its own dangers. Clooney, who stars in “Michael Clayton,” told a story about how he thought he was being burglarized one night when helicopters started hovering above his home, in a scene out of “Die Hard.” Clooney grabbed a baseball bat, threw on a bathrobe and ran outside to do battle with the would-be criminal. It turns out that the real problem is that he lives a few houses away from Britney Spears, who was apparently home for the evening and being pursued by her usual complement of paparazzi. “So now,” says Clooney, “I have to move.”

Some of the actors are still adjusting to their own fame. Page, who plays a pregnant teenager in “Juno,” still lives in her native Halifax, Nova Scotia (in a converted whorehouse), and at 20, she’s suddenly found herself as a new role model for young women. “It’s obviously new and intense and surreal right now. Obviously. Just sitting at this table. I’ve been so absorbed in it that I don’t have an outside perspective.” Cotillard, who plays the French singer Edith Piaf in “La Vie En Rose,” can’t ride the subway anymore in Paris. “You can’t live normally with people because they know, they think they know something of you,” she says. “Where I live in France, I can’t look at people as I was able to before.” But you can bet that, come Feb. 24, much of France will be looking at her.

Who knows maybe Brad and Angelina will adopt and have a biological baby in 2008. They did this with Zahara/Shiloh when Angelin got pregnant with Shiloh a couple of months after adopting Zahara. Anything is possible with these two. While I have my own speculation, I am waiting for an announcement .

I think Zac Effron, Chace Crawford, Shia Labeouf and all those other teeny-boppers are just flavors of the month. I don’t see any of them reaching Brad status. It is going to take someone extremely special to follow in Brad’s steps. Zac is more like the Ashton Kutcher of his time.

Btw, I know a lot of people thought that Murphy was robbed but I actually thought that Arkin deserved the kudos. Plus I thought it was incredibly funny that Alan Arkin didn’t care whether he won or not.
