British model James Rousseau, aka Kate Bosworth’s boyfriend, is breaking into the music industry!
Rousseau, 27, has unleashed his first release onto the Internets called “To Make You Mine.” According to his MySpace page, “James is about to finish writing for his debut album, and will start recording in April this year.”
Little known facts via Wikipedia: Before his voice broke, James was also head chorister at Abberley Hall Preparatory School in Worcestershire. He taught himself how to play the guitar having already become a reasonable clarinet and saxophone player.

Agreed that it’s pretty unsophisticated lyrically, but it has a sweet sound/production, and he has a good voice. No structure either - where is the hook? But it’s pleasant.

And any mention of Kate, brings in her fans and their continued banter about how “wonderful” Kate looks now that she got rid of hateful, evol Orlando (you remember, the guy who traveled halfway around the world to help impoverished children). I think it’s a great song, simple and sweet. Always on the look out for new cool stuff so looking forward to hearing what else he’s gonna do.

Agree with 39/40… Look past the modeling & the relationship & it’s a harmless track. Lyrically it might not rock the world but everyone’s gotta start somewhere! The guy can play & sing which is pretty unusual these days. Lets face it, if we all had his opportunities wouldn’t we take them as far as we could?

Spare us Orlando the savior of Nepal talk. He flew in free-probably first class-and got a photo op with a bunch of kids. I’m sure it was a cool experience for him and one to write about in his journal as how it relates to HIM but his little photo op didn’t save any kids. He was a tourist-he wanted to go anyway.He didn’t fly around the world -as you said- to help anybody. Wasn’t that around the same time he was in Japan to do those car commercials? You know, those cars that aren’t hybrids that Mr. Enviromental pitches for now.
You really want to bring up his work with global green? The guy won’t even admit to what car he drives when asked directly by a reporter. Just another example of someone using hip causes for photo ops.

its kinda sweet but he is trying to be like Bob Dylan and Neil Young, only top40? Yeah, I can hear the Dylan influence in his singing, but the lyrics are pretty lame. I guess they are okay if you like Top40, but its certainly not anywhere near Dylan/Young/Cash quality. a bit trite and boring.

Having already earned a great living modelling (and surely paying his own way with the amount of money he’s made!), this geeza could now make a mint or two from his music. And Kate’s roles (and paypacket) in Superman Returns, Wonderland, Beyond the Sea, The Girl in the Park and 21 will not have harmed this couple either! Good to see them both doing well.
I have a feeling we will be hearing much more from him. He’ll be in the charts before too long.

Don’t worry about them, You’re right it has nothing to do with James. If Jared would have put this up with no name you wouldn’t have seen the hatred. It is just a carry over from the Orlando/Kate saga. James has a great voice and the sound is great. He will do well.

I can’t believe how “insular” Little America can be! Think they know it all. James was (and is) a highly successful top international model with a huge fan base in Europe and Asia - though not so much in the States. When he met Kate Bosworth in 2006 he was better known than she was in those countries - she was just Orlando’s date. James has always said he wanted to be a musician. The modelling got him the fame, and admittedly being with Kate got him more notice in the American press. The guy’s got genuine talent and clearly wants to make a name for himself based on that talent - not on who he knows. So just lay off the stupid ***** comments and make some informed, constructive comment. I mean - how can anyone have the nerve to suggest she’s keeping him, or that he doesn’t work hard and earn his own money. Please, just make up what crap you like!
