Katie Holmes entered the Carlyle Hotel in New York City on Monday morning carrying a supersized Hermes Birkin bag in red. Her bodyguard also carried her other outfits for the day in a Goyard clothing bag.
The 29-year-old actress had just returned from taping her segment on Live with Regis and Kelly!. Earlier in the day, Katie made an appearance on Good Morning America and tonight, she’ll be back out on the town for The Late Show with David Letterman.

I don’t think she’s trying to be a fashion icon. She just looks really comfy in that diamond-striped jumper and grey slacks. She looks just fine, clean and presentable. And rather ordinary, which is endearing. At least she’s not flashing huge amounts of cleavage, or showing her underpants…

The bag is ridiculously oversized and who in their right mind (??) wears open toed almost sandal-like shoes in NY Winter especially with a sweater? She’s cute but has changed so much it’s scary. Seems very Stepford-wifey lately. And yes she’s looking haggard, where is the cute, bubbly girl we saw during the “courtship”?

No one every heard of this chick — except those who watched ‘Dawson’s Creek’ until she hooked up with Alien Man. Give me a break already with all the news on what’s she’s doing and not doing. I mean, what type of toilet paper does she use? Oh wait! Alien’s don’t need toilet paper!

gorgeous coat. scale of bag looks off - too big, too litle handle, and way way too big bucks for a bag that doesn’t function very easily in daily use. the coat, i would love to wear.

Like I said, she’s only as empty as that superlative expensive and large bag.
She hides her personality so much these days. There is nothing intersting about her anymore that isn’t connected to her daughter or her husband. Tom had the same effect on Nicole Kidman and she ended up with the the label of ice princess, even though she isn’t at all. What kind of control does he have/did he have over these women???
In the last picture she looks like a brunette version of vogue editor Ana Wintour. same exact hair style.
Why does she have on open toe shoes and a camel wool coat?
She seems to have aged more in the last couple years, since she married Tom Cruise, then in all the 5 years she did “Dawson’s Creek”.
Her interviews this morning AND her hair AND her choice of outfits lately…..BORING!! Dull. Blah. Not fun. No spark. No nothing. I used to really like her and I still enjoy the pics of her and Suri….but what is she trying to do?!? Appear as old as possiable?!? If so - it’s working!!
