Katie Holmes is the lady in red as she leaves the Carlyle Hotel and arrives at the Ed Sullivan Theater in NYC on Monday for a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman.
The 29-year-old actress is promoting her new film Mad Money, out in theaters this Friday, Jan. 18th.
Maroon 5 is the musical guest for the evening. Adam Levine and his bandmates will be performing “Won’t Go Home Without You” from their sophomore album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long.

I’ve been thinking that Katie is looking so fabulous lately, but this is the first interview I’ve seen her do in ages, and it really took away the gloss for me. She still looked great, but where’s her bubbly, happy personality and big smile she was so well known for? She barely cracked a smile, and talks in this strange, controlled, expressionless voice. She was a completely different person to her interview with letterman for batman begins. Not more mature, just completely different and slightly creepy. And the stuff she says about Suri? She’s turning two, not thirty. She’s just a little girl for goodness sake, say she’s cute and adorable, and enchanting, but instead she keeps saying this weird stuff about her being an ‘artist’ and a ’strong woman’. You just get the feeling Suri ain’t gonna be allowed much of a childhood. While I still think the new Katie looks better, I reeeeally miss the old Katie .

Erin, I couldn’t agree with your comments more. I noticed everything you did. She looked glamorous, but acted very pecular. I thought it odd the way she talked about her toddler, too. And she kept leaning in towards Dave as if she’s hard of hearing and then deflecting questions back at him. What the heck kind of an interview is that? I found her actions to be quite strange and almost zombie-like.
She was trying to “control” the conversation. She has been taught that is how you take charge.
