American Idol 7 Kicks Off TONIGHT
With the writer’s strike and all, you know there is nothing better on TV tonight than the premiere of American Idol 7 @ 8PM ET/PT on FOX. Tomorrow is part II of the premiere–Wednesday, Jan. 16 @ 8PM ET/PT.
Last season’s ratings were pretty weak and past Idols (Katharine McPhee, Taylor Hicks and Ruben Studdard) were all dropped from their music labels recently.
But will you be tuning into American Idol tonight?

I only watch the ‘crazy’ stuff in the beginning. That’s it. My friends at work were ticked off that Jordan won last year, as they said their was another girl who was sooo much better than Jordan and she was voted off. Nope, won’t watch the whole thing, just the ‘crazy’ bits.
ehhhhh….I will probably only watch the 1st ep.

NO because the show is really about Simon and not about the singers. I mean they have not been doing well in terms of sales and exposures and now the artist are being dropped.

Im gonna watch it. I have a reminder set on it. When 2007 Idol was over I said I wasn’t gonna watch the next one b/c it bored me, but I have changed my mind. I can’t wait for it to start :D
I think I’d rather watch One Tree Hill (which I’ve never seen and really see no reason to start now) but will probably watch NCIS.
I’ll definitely watch. I can’t help it; I always seem to get addicted. While Idol’s record of turning out successful musicians has been kind of hit or miss, how can you say it’s been completely unsuccessful when it gave us Kelly Clarkson, Chris Daughtry, Josh Gracin (who’s had a few hits with country fans), Kelly Pickler (same), and Carrie Underwood, who had a HUGE first album!
