OlderBrad Renfro Dead at 25
Brad Renfro is dead, reports TMZ.
The 25-year-old actor, who has had a history of drug abuse, was found dead at his Los Angeles home this morning.
He just wrapped the film The Informers costarring Winona Ryder and Billy Bob Thornton.
Cause of death has not been determined.
Via Wiki: Renfro has gone on to act in several well-regarded films in his adulthood including 2001’s Ghost World and Bully and 2005’s The Jacket with Keira Knightley and Adrien Brody. In 1995 he won Hollywood Reporter’s “Young Star” award and was nominated as one of People’s “Top 30 Under 30.”
UPDATE: Craig Harvey, chief investigator for the Los Angeles county coroner, told People that drug overdose is “obviously it’s a possibility considering his history, but right now all we have is the history of his drinking the previous night. All that we have is that he was last known to be alive during the morning hours and he was snoring.”

Let this be a reminder of consequences…not necessarily of addiction, but of excess.
We all do it…well some of us: drink or drug too much.
Bonham drank the equivalent of 40 shots of vodka and aspirated his own spew.
If you get drink-drank-drunk…do so where someone can watch you and make sure you pass out on your side, NOT YOUR BACK.
Mama Cass died the same way.
ALcohol will pass thru yer system fairly fast - but too much will kill you.

i’ve seen most of his films…growing up he was one of my favourite actors… he chose interesting and different roles…he had the potential to go far but jumped on ‘that’ band wagon…rest in peace brad…

He was a good actor, loved him in Bully. He was awesome! I’m going to miss him, what a great talent. My condolences goes out to his family.
May he rest in Peace. His death is pretty ironic considering that he just told his manager that he was willing to fight hard for his sobriety.

How sad!! And such a young man with the world at his fingertips. I suppose sooner or later someone has to lose. Hopefully all the others will stop and take notice to what the end result can be. Sad as it is for his family, i hope they can find the strength to help others that suffer towards the same fate.
This is so sad! :( I remember him fro The Client. I had the BIGGEST celeb crush on him. He’s only a year younger than I am. Very sad that he went this road instead of the one Elijah Wood chose.

I’m totally shocked, i didn’t know he had drug problems and i even said the other day what happened to him i havent seen him in a while, I fancied him like crazy in sleepers. What a shame, poor brad xox
I have been a member of his uncle’s church for years. Brad had some amazing role models in his life he just chose not to follow their example, instead he chose to follow the example of the mom that was never able to really be a mom to him because of her own addictions. I hope something positive can come from this, that maybe others can learn from his mistakes instead of making the same ones. I also hope that the media will show some respect when it comes to his funeral, give his family and real friends a chance to grieve and say goodbye in private.

Very sad indeed and the person who asks where was everyone while he was having problems is the most right on. At least there was only one heartless comment. And for the record, ONCE AND FOR ALL, Cass Elliot died of a heart attack.
