Oprah Gets Her Own TV Network

Amber: Gosh you’re Coward. Wow. How boring. And how sad. Oprah does not cater to anyone. She presents herself as she is: overweight, not the most beautiful, articulate, smart and an independent thinker. It so happens the formula worked in the most unexpected way. She manages to embrace both Blacks and Whites on her show and she knows alienating Whites would be economically stupid. But this does not mean she kisses up to them or dismisses being Black. Black women have the right to do and associate with whom they please. That is what they worked hard for in this country. Get off this blog with your pea brain mentality and get re-educated. You’re stuck in the past and unable to appreciate a woman who beat the odds.

If Oprah was a hateful, racist ***** who ranted against White people, you’d be the first to crucify her. You are jealous, plain and simple. Good luck with your “Black Themes only” magazine.

Did you know “Essence” magainze is owned by a WHite company “Time Inc”? And did you know Johnson hair products, Motown and Black Entertainment Television (BET) are White owned? You need to rethink your whole pov. It is full of holes like your brain.

Amber: according to your outlook on life, your magazine needs to be black themed. Cause you claim Oprah caters only to Whites and then,….oh! only to Upper class Black folks. THAT is what you said. So you can’t say that and try to have a diverse magazine. no, you need to have one that caters to Crackhead Hookers. That is what is authentic in your biased and uneducated mind. Good luck with your mag, like I said, if Susan Taylor did not figure out how to keep the magazine Black after 30 or so years, then good luck to you. And her magazine is full of black female stories only but at the end fo the day, if the big man making the big bucks is the White guy at Time, Inc - what is the point? At least Oprah owns her stuff. Team Lara Croft - Jealousy is not in my handbook, sweetheart. I don’t knock anyone’s hustle, because that’s exactly what this is - her hustle. Jealousy is a vice that doesn’t pay to have. Neither does being an adult who sits on blogs all day living through other people and getting POed when everyone doesn’t agree with her. So you keep on believing that everything you say is what I believe…I don’t want to take that from you. You need it too much.

Thanks for the advice. I take it to heart. You’re a true sweetie. You have a human and kind side. Thank you for sharing. And on your end, learn to accept that some Black women will be more successful and richer and better off than you and don’t hold it in and let it tear away at your heart. Not so much a thing about whether or not Oprah is all pro black. Who cares about that? It should never be a race thing. I do however have a problem with how she sends most of her “help” money to the other countries such as Africa ect and you never ever see how shes been helping homeless, needy, starving children, girls, women or anyone in her own home U.S.A. When she starts doing that I will then feel better about her. *Remember to feed your own hungry children before you feed your neighbors children and God knows we have plenty of hungry children in America.
