Tom Cruise Scientology Video Outbreak

Here’s a peek into Tom Cruise and his beliefs in Scientology via Gawker. You must watch the video below–it’s definitely making the rounds in the blogosphere.

Basically, Tom goes off on how dedicated he is to being a Scientologist and how he will “not hesitate to put [his] ethics in someone else!” Here are some of the highlights via Us Weekly:

“I think it’s a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist, and it’s something that you have to earn because a Scientologist does… has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions. Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and know absolutely that you can help them.

“Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident… you know you have to do something about it because you know you’re the only one that can really help.

“But that’s what drives me… I know that we have an opportunity to really help… effectively change people’s lives and I am dedicated to that. I am absolutely, uncompromisingly dedicated to that.

“We have a responsibility.

“We are the authorities on getting people off drugs, we are the authorities on the mind, we are the authorities on improving conditions… we can rehabilitate criminals.

“…We can bring peace and unite cultures…

“Traveling the world and meeting the people that I’ve met, talking with these leaders in various fields, they want help and they are depending on people who know and who can be effective and do it and that’s us. That is our responsibility to do that.

“It is the time now. Now is the time… Being a Scientologist, people are turning to you, so you better know it, you better know it and if you don’t, go and learn it, but don’t pretend you know it. It’s like we’re here to help.

“If you’re a Scientologist, you see life, you see things the way they are, in all its glory, all of its complexity and the more you know as a Scientologist, you don’t become overwhelmed by it.

“Look, I wish the world was a different place. I’d like to go on vacation and go and romp and play and just do that, you know what I mean. That’s what I want it to be. There’s times I’d like to do that, but I can’t because I know I have to do something about it.

“I have to do it because I can’t live with myself if I don’t, and that really is it.

“So it’s our responsibility to educate, create the new reality. We have that responsibility to say, ‘Hey, this is the way it should be done because we do it this way and people are actually getting better.’

“And let’s get it done. Let’s really get it done and have enough love and compassion and toughness that you’re really going to do it and do it right.

“I have to tell you something – it is rough and tumble, and it’s wild and wooly, and it’s a blast, it’s a blast, it really is fun because, dammit, there is nothing better than the going out there and fighting the fight and suddenly you see things are better.

“I want to know that I’ve done everything I could everyday, and I think about those people out there who are depending on us. I think about that and it does make me feel that we’ve got more work. I need more help, get those spectators either in the playing field or out of the arena. Really, that’s how I feel about it.

“I do what I can, and I do it the way I do everything. [laughs] There’s nothing part-of-the way for me.”

tomthumb says ”nothing” on purpose. he knows what he’s doing. his creepy cult and followers know what he’s ”not” saying”.
can’t give ”us” the public who hasn’t quite excepted his truth to much of his craziness, or they may turn. like the women he brain washes slowly, to redo their appearance.. etc.., he’s feeding his ‘’saying nothing” little by little to ”us”, hoping we will fall for his delusional idealistic alien hype. faux tom ,still thinks he’s fooling the ”American public” with his ”I’m the all American Boy” interviews.

Wow what a freaking weirdo. This guy is insane, listen to him laughing he sounds like a looney bin escapee.

I lost so many minutes looking at some guy talking crap! Incoherent, hysterical crap! Crap about help, helping, depend, depending and spectators.. he looses track of what he’s saying, he’s delirious, he laughs without any reason.. What in the world????!!! couldn’t he just stick to acting? :(

Someone>stop>them @ 01/15/2008 at 10:16 am

I totally get that alien vibe from him. I think scientologists work side by side by evil aliens to brainwash us and then kill us all. He gives me creeps, he is definitely not the same Tom Cruise from 10 years ago. Katie is becoming a different person as well, and not in a good way. She looks so cold hearted and her eyes are empty. I think they programmed her with an alien brain. Poor girl :(

CReep, CreEPY Tom ..BEam him UP ScoTTie…

He didn’t actually say anything.

Thank you, Tom, for putting a face to the cult. You’re all a bunch of narcissistic lunatics.

No wonder he and the Zombiebride walk around with those smug expressions. They truly think the world of themselves.

That was pretty sad. I haven’t watched anything he does in a very
long time. He is a total lunatic.

he is insane to the least and a dangerous smooth brain criminal !

Lucky, lucky Nicole… poor kids…

ehhhhhhhhhhh, I don’t necessary see anything wrong with what he said. Many religions believe they are the authority and through their faith can help, heal and discourage people from the wrong path. He’s just preaching what many other followers of other religions preach. so, whatever.

Hmmm…talking about “glib”. He obviously is an expert on that subject.

ITA with 10 brieses.
Adding my own comment, even if I didn’t believe in God or Jesus or a higher power, I certainly wouldn’t believe in this Ron L. Hubbard.
In the book store you can find that nut in the FICTION section.
Tom STOP your madness.

They only “help” people who are willing to pay a lot of money for that “help”!!! Why doesn’t he mention that, I wonder?

How did he get so f*cked up? He wasn’t this dumb when he was young, was he? This is pure comedy and sooo sad at the same time…

how do you know whats right? @ 01/15/2008 at 10:36 am

There is nothing wrong with wanting to help others, however I have a problem with ppl who truly believe that they are the only ones that know “the truth”, the right way to do things, and feel like they have to teach it to everyone who doesn’t know/believe in this “truth”. Even if you perhaps want to help, how can one way be right for everybody?

“So it’s our responsibility to educate, create the new reality.”

“Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and know absolutely that you can help them.”

“..you know you have to do something about it because you know you’re the only one that can really help.”

Sounds very arrogant to me, and history have many examples of this (civilized ppl who wanted to teach/force/help “savages” how to live and do things their way).

PERCENTAGES of intelligence @ 01/15/2008 at 10:37 am

At this point, the whole Tom Cruise, Scientology saga is so uninteresting, it’s like watching decoupage dry. What’s funny is that he thinks anyone cares. What’s sad is the poor paparazzis stalking him and others in the freezing cold, not even realizing how ridiculous their lives are and that the only reason any of us are on these forums is to find meaning, and we’re only using these actors for psychological content in our theorizing of archetypes and pathologies.

Yet, nobody will come out and say it.

Wait. I just did.

Well, good. Then. Finally it’s out.

Glib….just glib, glib, glib, glib, GLIB!!!

I see people who do great things, help other people, etc., every day…it’s not a new concept…it’s just the way it is where I’m from…nothing special…and then you go home and have supper and don’t feel the need to broadcast how wonderful you are to the world. It’s called being a HUMAN BEING.

=====================================
I was just about to post something like this. He forgets to mention that in order to get “help”, you have to pay through the nose.

No wonder Scarlett Johansson (who looks like she’s one smart woman), wanted nothing to do with Tom Cruise in his list of “future wife” and fled screaming. Katie Holmes took the bait and got the money, fame, and the child, but at what expense? I am glad that Nicole was able to walk away and went back to her own religion.

Paramedic to the stars @ 01/15/2008 at 10:43 am

Dear Tom Cruise Mapother the 3rd,

Please prove anything Scientology has brainwashed you into thinking - mathematically, scientifically and historically. Show the world. Prove it. With numbers. Show us that your way is above the Laws of the Universe and that you know better than G-d.

Thanks and awaiting your response,

PTTS

Geez, I was really just starting to like him again too.
Personally I think Tom sounds like a fanatical Jehovah’s Witness on an ego trip. Nothing wrong with being so strong in his belief but why shove it down other people’s throats?
Another thing, Tom’s thoughts aren’t really any different than those of someone who has just smoked some really, really good weed. lmao….

I am glad that Nicole was able to walk away and went back to her own religion.

Me too #43, except I wish Nicole would have ran.

[~F a m o u s~] @ 01/15/2008 at 10:55 am

even i wish tom would stop talking about scientology. ugh, i wish people would stop asking him scientoloy.

christianity, islam, judaism, hinduism, buddhism, scientoloyism… etc, etc, etc, are all bullshiit. lmao

WHAT THE ****! HAHHAAA! That made no sense. This video has to be a spoof, right? lol!!

i hate when actors start to think that the viewing public actually gives a cr@p what their personal thoughts and feelings about politics, religion etc are. just make your movie, cash your paycheck and go home or talk about these things with the other egomaniacal actors so you can feed each othwers egos and/or just simply talk over each other. b/c i don’t want to hear anything come out of their traps except for movie lines and sometimes not even that.

Watching this video, felt like watching a damn infomercial. Everything felt so contrived, and exaggerated that it was laughable. The infomercial-ness is especially obvious when he says: “It is the time now. Now is the time… Being a Scientologist, people are turning to you, so you better know it, you better know it and if you don’t, go and learn it, but don’t pretend you know it. It’s like we’re here to help.”
