Here’s a peek into Tom Cruise and his beliefs in Scientology via Gawker. You must watch the video below–it’s definitely making the rounds in the blogosphere.
Basically, Tom goes off on how dedicated he is to being a Scientologist and how he will “not hesitate to put [his] ethics in someone else!” Here are some of the highlights via Us Weekly:
“I think it’s a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist, and it’s something that you have to earn because a Scientologist does… has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions. Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and know absolutely that you can help them.
“Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident… you know you have to do something about it because you know you’re the only one that can really help.
“But that’s what drives me… I know that we have an opportunity to really help… effectively change people’s lives and I am dedicated to that. I am absolutely, uncompromisingly dedicated to that.
“We have a responsibility.
“We are the authorities on getting people off drugs, we are the authorities on the mind, we are the authorities on improving conditions… we can rehabilitate criminals.
“…We can bring peace and unite cultures…
“Traveling the world and meeting the people that I’ve met, talking with these leaders in various fields, they want help and they are depending on people who know and who can be effective and do it and that’s us. That is our responsibility to do that.
“It is the time now. Now is the time… Being a Scientologist, people are turning to you, so you better know it, you better know it and if you don’t, go and learn it, but don’t pretend you know it. It’s like we’re here to help.
“If you’re a Scientologist, you see life, you see things the way they are, in all its glory, all of its complexity and the more you know as a Scientologist, you don’t become overwhelmed by it.
“Look, I wish the world was a different place. I’d like to go on vacation and go and romp and play and just do that, you know what I mean. That’s what I want it to be. There’s times I’d like to do that, but I can’t because I know I have to do something about it.
“I have to do it because I can’t live with myself if I don’t, and that really is it.
“So it’s our responsibility to educate, create the new reality. We have that responsibility to say, ‘Hey, this is the way it should be done because we do it this way and people are actually getting better.’
“And let’s get it done. Let’s really get it done and have enough love and compassion and toughness that you’re really going to do it and do it right.
“I have to tell you something – it is rough and tumble, and it’s wild and wooly, and it’s a blast, it’s a blast, it really is fun because, dammit, there is nothing better than the going out there and fighting the fight and suddenly you see things are better.
“I want to know that I’ve done everything I could everyday, and I think about those people out there who are depending on us. I think about that and it does make me feel that we’ve got more work. I need more help, get those spectators either in the playing field or out of the arena. Really, that’s how I feel about it.
“I do what I can, and I do it the way I do everything. [laughs] There’s nothing part-of-the way for me.”

I find nothing wrong with what he is saying, it is like preaching other beliefs or cults if you don’t want to follow it, then don’t simple.
I find people like Miapocca crazier than Tom Cruise. And I find cruise crazy alright.
Let him believe what he wants and he is free to, no one is forcing you to believe him or even play the video.
Maybe hateful blogging could be considered as unconsciously “cult”, too?! Something to think about as you spew your hatred of somebody who worked hard for public and material success while most of us “sleep on the floor for fear of falling out of bed”!

Yes, you are right LT: I am German and I am afraid of Scientology Church and people like Tom Cruise who try to use their influence to lure people into the big money making and mind bending machine that their religion in fact is.
I learned my lesson from my country´s past and I hope that people all around the world wake up and are aware, that the methods of the Scientologist are very dangerous to labile people who are easily transformed into willing followers.

It’s a free country. Tom’s free to believe in what he believes. He didn’t try to harm any body. He’s a great actor and a wonderful human being. God bless him and his family.

For those people who have come out in force to attack Cruise over this video, what has he done to you? Here is a harmless video you do not even have to believe or take in, you call him crazy but I think you are the ones who are sick attacking him when he has done nothing to harm you.

I just think if what he claims is true…why doesn’t he give up his precious Hollywood career and devote himself to “making a better reality” and doing all these things to help people? Is being a Hollywood near-has been making the world a better place, Tom?

Last I checked this was a free country. If any one has a problem with what is in the video, go to court. Tom Cruise is free to believe whatever he wants. If any one wants to join him, they are free too. They had better have enough money though.

What does he actually say?? I mean he talks a lot but I stil hav eno idea what his point is or what he was actually saying. And what’s with all the initials..I’m not familiar with scientology so I was confused about that part. I love the ending, it’s like some sort of coorperate super hero style thing.
Oh Tom, what happened to you.. I’m going to try and block out my recent Tom images and replace them with hot Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky… I’d have picked Mission Impossible but now I’ll think of scientology everytime I hear that theme song :/
