Here’s a peek into Tom Cruise and his beliefs in Scientology via Gawker. You must watch the video below–it’s definitely making the rounds in the blogosphere.
Basically, Tom goes off on how dedicated he is to being a Scientologist and how he will “not hesitate to put [his] ethics in someone else!” Here are some of the highlights via Us Weekly:
“I think it’s a privilege to call yourself a Scientologist, and it’s something that you have to earn because a Scientologist does… has the ability to create new and better realities and improve conditions. Being a Scientologist, you look at someone and know absolutely that you can help them.
“Being a Scientologist, when you drive past an accident… you know you have to do something about it because you know you’re the only one that can really help.
“But that’s what drives me… I know that we have an opportunity to really help… effectively change people’s lives and I am dedicated to that. I am absolutely, uncompromisingly dedicated to that.
“We have a responsibility.
“We are the authorities on getting people off drugs, we are the authorities on the mind, we are the authorities on improving conditions… we can rehabilitate criminals.
“…We can bring peace and unite cultures…
“Traveling the world and meeting the people that I’ve met, talking with these leaders in various fields, they want help and they are depending on people who know and who can be effective and do it and that’s us. That is our responsibility to do that.
“It is the time now. Now is the time… Being a Scientologist, people are turning to you, so you better know it, you better know it and if you don’t, go and learn it, but don’t pretend you know it. It’s like we’re here to help.
“If you’re a Scientologist, you see life, you see things the way they are, in all its glory, all of its complexity and the more you know as a Scientologist, you don’t become overwhelmed by it.
“Look, I wish the world was a different place. I’d like to go on vacation and go and romp and play and just do that, you know what I mean. That’s what I want it to be. There’s times I’d like to do that, but I can’t because I know I have to do something about it.
“I have to do it because I can’t live with myself if I don’t, and that really is it.
“So it’s our responsibility to educate, create the new reality. We have that responsibility to say, ‘Hey, this is the way it should be done because we do it this way and people are actually getting better.’
“And let’s get it done. Let’s really get it done and have enough love and compassion and toughness that you’re really going to do it and do it right.

Why all these brouhaha about Tom and scientology.The video is old stuff,recycled article.The media is digging into its archives to revive old news..Why,because news about Tom sells!He is still the greatest!!!
I thought I was about as giddy as I could get when tc was s h i t canned from Paramount….I have watched in utter delight at his absolute and very steady decline since….but THIS….this is truly a dream come true because he ABSOLUTELY WILL NOT recover from this ……………EVER.
Given the fact that they have a “military” type base at the old Gilman Hot Springs with a s h i tload of unregistered firearms, motion detectors, video cameras and survailience surrounding the compound and goons that will come scream and harrass you if you even stop on a PUBLIC road near the compound (and david misgave actually lives there) I consider, after viewing that video, that tc is a terrorist. They clearly have an “us against them” (supressive people) mentality.
This is extremely dangerous and not at all funny. The comment about SP being obsolete and only in history books makes it clear that their plan is to control the universe in whatever way possible

If you want to know so much about Scientology why not just visit their website and buy some lessons and books from them. Again only scientologists used the editing tactic against suppressive people and so if ther is any editing done it was surely by them, since I don’t think there is anyone with enough time and energy to make cruise look bad, he does that all by his pathetic midget self.

I think the scientologist released the video . I tried reading through all the comments here and I was fascinated and really happy to see that I was not the only one screaming “Hubbard’s legal profession was a SCIENCE FICTION writer”!!!!! Give us a break.
Scientology is not a religion!!! What kind of religion believes in no higher being? Christians have the Father, the son and the Holy Spirit, Islam has Allah, Buddhism has Buddha and so on. What do they believe in? That they want to do good by the world? So does every other religion. They don’t dictate your life, nor ask you to pass them all your early belonging to them. They don’t have secret camps, or bodyguards and you don’t need to pass courses or audits to become one of them!!

My dad id a psychiatrist and I was telling him yesterday all about this new Tom Cruise unofficial biography and how Scientology doesn’t believe in psychiatry….

In 1991 I had to prepare the base so that it could be defended against the possibility of being taken over by the authorities in a time of crisis. There are approx. 750 people at the base. I was in charge of a project designing the base security system, the perimeter fence, the ultra razor barriers, the lighting of the perimeter fence, the electronic monitors, the concealed microphones, the ground sensors, the motion sensors and hidden cameras which were installed and all over the area — even outside the base.
Church monies were used to purchase semi-automatic assault rifles (HK 91 assault rifles capable of firing 300-350 rounds of ammunition a minute, .45 caliber pistols, .380 automatic weapons and twelve gauge shotguns were stockpiled.
