Ellen Pompeo’s Security Snafu

Ellen Pompeo and music exec husband Chris Ivery check-in at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Wednesday. The twosome caught a flight to NYC.

According to one paparazzo, Pompeo, 38, was told she did not have valid I.D. despite having two passports in her hand. However, the Grey’s Anatomy star was still able to get past security after speaking with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) officials. It certainly pays to be a celebrity!

Ellen and Chris celebrated their two-month wedding anniversary last Wednesday. Hey, two months is a very long time in Hollywood. Two weeks is becoming standard!

Those stupid TSA people. You’re supposed to have a valid photo ID. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a driver’s license. What about people who don’t drive? Besides, passports have far more stringent standards about providing proof of identity than the measly driver’s license.

It’s so nice to see her pop up now and again. It gets a bit redundant hearing about Hollywood’s patented ‘media-whores,’ driving drunk, sending nudey pics to people ect, and Ellen is anything but, I welcome the change JJ.

it makes no sense that the tsa screener would not accept her passport - unless it had expired or something and even if it had - it can be used as photo id for a year. When I fly, I always use my passport and I’ve never had any tsa screener tell me it’s not valid. Of course, I fly in/out of New York, so maybe it’s different in LA (ha ha ha)

now, if by chance her ticket was under her married name (assuming that in real life, she now goes by Avery) and her passport still says Pompeo…then the tsa screener would understandably have to say that she does not valid photo id…the name on the ticket must match the photo id.

WOW!!!!!!!! is that Ellen? i cant not believe a smile can lift up her face like that. See how beautiful and young she looked with just a genuine smile like that! i wonder where she is going. Thks jared, we harldy ever hear or see ellen much, i guess she likes keeping a low profile. If only you knew how much you made my day with that pic of ellen smiling! thks alot!
