Katie Holmes is Basic in Black

A casually dressed Katie Holmes dons black head-to-toe gear as she leaves the Carlyle hotel in New York City on Wednesday afternoon.

Katie, 29, is in town promoting her new movie Mad Money, out this Friday.

Yesterday afternoon, Katie and daughter Suri made a trip to the fabric store Mood (the one they always use in Project Runway). The twosome picked out lots of creams and dark khaki as well as wool fabrics to get suits made for the family.

Last night, Katie and husband Tom Cruise also went on a double date with comedian Jerry Seinfeld and his wife Jessica.

here we go again with this overexposed shopping chick. she doesn’t have booty, but now we have to look at a booty shot. she’s mimicking victoria who looks like a plastic bratz doll. they both look ridiculous. clothes can’t make you hot. tom better check his money. if he doesn’t, the scientologists will because you KNOW they want their share - LMAO!
