Daytime talk show queen Ellen DeGeneres is teaming up with Brad Pitt to continue his efforts in helping to re-build devastated parts of New Orleans due to Hurricane Katrina.
Ellen made an initial donation and has asked her viewers to join her in supporting the cause. You have the ability to contribute cash or adopt a part of the house. How cool is that!
Team Ellen has already raised $169,838 and far surpasses any of the other team-sponsored homes.

It is so nice to have a new thread with this news about Ellen.
I’ve always liked her and her dry sense of humour. I am sure the 9th Ward is just the beginning.
This is a great thing that Ellen is doing. I’m happy for all the people of NO that will benefit from her contribution and that of her fans and Brad’s hard work.
Way to go ELLEN! It’s a long shot but I hope that Brad will be a surprise guest on her b-day celebration next Friday. It would be even be better if Brad and Angie show up since Angie’s been on her show twice.

A tibbit the press never reports. Brab & Angelina are suspected of paying for locals funerals, moving, rentals, clothes expenses etc. When asked where the the funds come from, locals were told ‘a private donor’ is putting up funding. Brad & Angelina have visited homes, meetings, etc, lending a ear and a hand, as much as they could. Reasons locals know that they are the contributors of so much, church leaders, in communities have not denied this. Locals, fans, home buyers etc, have been seeking these two out by showing up in droves at building sites known to frequent AJ& BP. Gossip I’ve heard is that Shiloh gives Angelina hugs and kisses and chews Angelina’s hair in her mouth which AJ finds amusing, Shiloh says full words in a baby voice. Both parents are extremely attentive to the children.. Now I don’t know if this is true, just people talking from NO.I hope BP&AJ don’t bite off more than they can chew, but Brad has said ‘you have to start somewhere’.

I miss the Jolie-Pitts. Hopefully they are enjoying their time away from the spotlight and Angie is relaxing, putting on even more weight and totally enjoying her downtime with her family.

I really get choked up with joy and pride when i read about the wonderful things which Brad and Angie do all the time. It’s inspiring to see human beings being kind and treating other human beings with such love and compassion. I finally received my MIR t-shirts and hats. The cotton of the t-shirts are very soft. I never knew there was such a thing as “organic” cotton.
