Britney Spears’ Obituary in the Works

Britney Spears’ Obituary in the Works

The Associated Press (oh, just the world’s largest news organization) has already begun preparing Britney Spears’ obituary!!!

“We are not wishing it, but if Britney passed away, it’s easily one of the biggest stories in a log time,” AP entertainment editor Jesse Washington tells Us Weekly.

“I think one would agree that Britney seems at risk right now,” Washington adds. “Of course, we would never wish any type of misfortune on anybody and hope that we would never have to use it until 50 years from now…but if something were to happen, we would have to be prepared.”

Thats just wrong and pathetic

totally disgusting!! who does that?!

That’s seriously pathetic. Britney can be a bit outrageous and all, but she seems like a nice person. They just need to leave her alone. That’s awful, who in their right mind would write an obituary? Awful. Sick too.

that;s so wrong, why don’t they all jusy leave her alone for a time ?! gosh..

Not news. Any respectable media outlet has obits ready for political figures and major celebrities at risk of croaking. No one wishes Britney dead - it would be a shame - but I think everyone is eager to see how far they can “push” her. This is developing into an interesting little drama…..

Utterly macabre!

This is not something new; it has been the standard practice for most news outlets for many years - the BBC, CNN, US national networks, Associated Press, etc. (The entertainment shows as well.) They keep an up-to-date ‘inventory’ of obituaries of the top, say, 100 most newsworthy people. Actors/newsmakers who are elderly, those who are chronically ill, every major foreigh leader - even anyone in the entertainment business with a known drug or alcohol problem. And so on. They do it because as soon as the news comes down that someone has passed, there’s no research involved and the obit can be disseminated immediately. It’s also someone’s job to keep them up to date.

It may seem to many to be morbid or uncalled for, but it’s a fact of life in the news business. I’m not surprised Britney would be on anyone’s ‘list’.

she is really going to killherself if the media and antifans continue doing bad things to her and stalking her. leave her alone. that’s so rude of the what-s his name association

what a tasteless comment. shame on you jj for repeating it. of course the aap has an obit on everybody of note in the works .

Why in the world someone is preparing for an obituary to a person that is not dead yet? That’s is just a shame. By haunting her all the time is not helping her at all. Just leave her alone & it seems the papz are pushing her over the edge. She needs help desperately. I hope, she seek help that she badly needed. Where are her mom, dad & sister?

What…why..okay, this is a joke right? There’s NO way someone, who’s supposed to know better, would make that kinda morbid statement…in public.

i’m actually expecting her death, very, very soon.

kinda looking foward to it. lol =X

I found this to be revolting!

This is actually quite common. Obituaries are prepared for high profile people many years in advance.
