Newsweek has put together its 2008 Oscar roundtable including Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and James McAvoy.
Angie on A Mighty Heart:
“I was comfortable when Mariane [Pearl] was comfortable. But I wasn’t so comfortable the first day of shooting, when I realized his style was so unbelievably raw. There is often no rehearsal, no one saying “cut.” For example, you have three different rooms, and we would go into one room and we’d be talking, say our five lines, and he’d film us. Then I’d go pee, and I’d come out, and the camera was still on. So I’d think, “OK …” Then I’d say my five lines again, and that would turn into 10 more minutes of talking, and then someone would go get something from the kitchen and I’d go to my bedroom, and he’d follow me and he just wouldn’t leave. It was really odd. But it became just the most perfect way to shoot that film. It was chaos in that moment. It was very intimate, and my big fear was that something horrible might happen and the camera would be like this. [She gestures as though there's a camera right in her face] But everybody was absolutely connected in every single moment. Even when we’d have lunch, we’d have it together at the table, or we’d all go for a walk together. We were just always present in the film. And so as an actor it brought me back to loving acting, and that was just great. But he does cross a line. One day one of the girls got sick and threw up, and he said, “Next time, tell us.” So he can be a little crazy. But I absolutely adore him.”

In recent years, we have seen a lot of great British, Aussie, Canadian even South African or French Actresses. and these are the actresses who always end up winning the best acting award.
What happen to American actresses ? Could it be that too commericalization of movie industry that hurt some potentiat talented actresses. Itt would be sad the American movie industry are left with likes of the three Jessica’s (Alba, Biel, Simpsom) and Aniston.

So are she (Angelina) and Brad Pitt, 44, expecting? Pitt’s rep tells US ” they are not, to the best of my knowledge”.
Short 1 page US article has pix of Angie standing at CCA, describes her as noticebly fuller figured with a visibly rounder midsection at CCA, said she only drank water at CCA, and ate beef, not sushi at Katsuya. Also said she was beautiful and glowing at CCA.
Tab cra* but positive as well as speculative. If they are expecting one thing is certain, time will tell.
US claims in the new issue that when asked if Angelina was expecting, “Pitt’s rep said no, not to the best of my knowledge” . Rather cryptic, much like the answer NicoleK’s rep gave 2 weeks before she admitted she was pregnant., “No she is not, if she was pregnant every time someone said she was she would have 30 children”.

Anyone who knows anything about acting and is not a hater and saw AMH knows Angie gave a performance more than worthy of an Oscar nomination. The woman’s face is plastered all over the tabloids yet she had you believe she was M. Pearl. It was a great performance.
time will tell if she is nominated or not.
If Angelina is pregnant, I’m sure they are hoping it won’t come out until she is well into her second trimester. Just yesterday, the singer who pregnancy was announced the same time Nicole Kidman one was suffered a miscarriage. I would hope that the press/paparazzi wwill be smart enough to bring up that to someone who has lost a baby.
Just finishing watching the videos of the Oscar Roundtable and I like it a lot, love watching those guys and it was also funny at times
Why some pregnant women in US avoid sushi ?
I never heard that thing in Japan.
I’m not much sushi fan but I was eager to eat sushi everyday when i was between 2-3 months pegnant. Do you know sushi rice uses a lot of vinegar with sugar. I wanted acetic food at that time. Some pregnant woman takes lemon but in my case it was sushi.

Just finished watching the Roundtable video. Mygawd I have another reason to dislike GC. When the moderator asked Angie about bringing the press along when they visit disadvantaged countries. Ohmygawd she didn’t get a chance to answer because GC jumped in and answered the question. She made another attempt and he started talking again. It was as though he needed to answer for her. He was annoying as h*ll.

i just watched the roundtable discussion and i was very impressed with how articulate and self assured ellen page is, she is very young. i haven’t seen juno yet but i really want to. of course as always angelina was very lovely.
i think to a certain extent they all looked nervous and that suprises
me , i could never understand that , moviestars being nervous, Angie doesnt put any importance in awards , i dont think they mean much to her, as long as she put all of her hard work into her work, which she does , she is happy and that is what i admire about her , so natural, amazing.
i want her to win the oscar only because i want to hear her speech , it would probably be outstanding but i know we wont at least not this year.

I totally agree with you. Lily Allen is her name. I am very surprised that Nicole Kidman admitted she was pregnant, she is not showing at all, and she has a history of pregnancy problems. It is safer to wait until one is in the 2nd trimester. HalleB and Cate Blancett did not admit anything until well into their 2nd trimester, they ignored those who asked until they were truly showing. It is so hard for those in the public eye to keep their private lives private. Angie has so many public events in the next 2 months, if she is pregnant I hope she can keep it private until she is in the 2nd trimester like she did with Shiloh.
Aren’t most of you women? Don’t most women get bloated at least once a month? Tell me…
