Newsweek has put together its 2008 Oscar roundtable including Angelina Jolie, George Clooney, Daniel Day-Lewis, Ellen Page, Marion Cotillard and James McAvoy.
Angie on A Mighty Heart:
“I was comfortable when Mariane [Pearl] was comfortable. But I wasn’t so comfortable the first day of shooting, when I realized his style was so unbelievably raw. There is often no rehearsal, no one saying “cut.” For example, you have three different rooms, and we would go into one room and we’d be talking, say our five lines, and he’d film us. Then I’d go pee, and I’d come out, and the camera was still on. So I’d think, “OK …” Then I’d say my five lines again, and that would turn into 10 more minutes of talking, and then someone would go get something from the kitchen and I’d go to my bedroom, and he’d follow me and he just wouldn’t leave. It was really odd. But it became just the most perfect way to shoot that film. It was chaos in that moment. It was very intimate, and my big fear was that something horrible might happen and the camera would be like this. [She gestures as though there's a camera right in her face] But everybody was absolutely connected in every single moment. Even when we’d have lunch, we’d have it together at the table, or we’d all go for a walk together. We were just always present in the film. And so as an actor it brought me back to loving acting, and that was just great. But he does cross a line. One day one of the girls got sick and threw up, and he said, “Next time, tell us.” So he can be a little crazy. But I absolutely adore him.”

i don´t know if this was already posted, (i found it in the Newsweek link). of course i don´t thik is true, but here it goes:
Brad Pitt’s sister, Julie, was not best pleased with the gift Angelina bought for her sons this Christmas.
The present was a Nintendo Wii game called Ghost Squad.
One source has claimed that Brad’s sister Julie sent the gift back to the Tomb Raider actress with a note attached saying: ‘We don’t promote violence in our house.’ Julie and her husband Ron supposedly shun violent games in their house.
Angelina was allegdley angered at the return of the gift. Angelina thinks playing such games is a normal process in a child’s life. She supposedly brought her own son a knife-throwing set for Christmas.

Oh puh-leeze. Do you really think Brad’s sister would be that rude to him and Angelina? Dang, when I was a child, cap guns were part of every little boy’s wardrobe. Anybody remember those things?
Angie has a chance to win an oscar like anyone else if she’s nominated. Best acting by an actress this year according to Ben Lyons.

I just finished watching Beowolf..
All i can say is Angie is amazing in it…I know it practically all Animation but you have to listen to the voice she uses and her characterization of the part she plays….She is simply amazing…Anyone who watches this movie and thinks that what i say is silly has no clue about acting…
It is not about the exterior..although that being said ..she is completely naked.Which a lot of men and or women will appreciate seeing….And who can disagree with a naked Angie…but not only that ..it is the way she inhabits the character…She is an actor who is rare today..Who is honest to the character of the part she is playing..Put aside your opinions of what ever you think of her..And for all Angie fans lovers ..Don’t delay…Go now and watch it people…And enjoy….

As for the knife thing… it’s so stupid… Angelina doesn’t play with knifes, she colects them (antique knifes and knifes from around the world). She also colects rare first edition books. Why don’t the media talk about that? Why don’t they made up that Agelina gave Mad a print set of something?

Ellen Page is more mature than her age and seems very confident. Marion is very sweet and quite funny. She is called ” French Angelina Jolie”. She should do a movie with Brad Pitt. Angie doesn’t talk much. GC talks too much as always and he has to bring up Brad’s name as always. no surprise.
Have just finished watching the roundtable and it shows once again that GC is mostly full of hot air. It was so annoying how he was allowed to take over most of the discussion.
Yes, I agree, DDL and Angie should do a movie together. He’s always been one of my favorite actors, since My Left Foot. All that dark, brooding intensity. He is definitely on my Freebie Five! Anyway, I hope he wins the Oscar and not that GC.

Andromeda, you say you found that tabloid crap “in the Newsweek link,” what does that even mean? Did you find it on the newsweek site? Did you find it when you followed a link? I can follow a link to Google news, and read everything from Newsweek to National Enquirer, that doesn’t mean the quote is from Newsweek. Why are you deliberately trying to convey that you found that story AT NEWSWEEK? Are you the same Andromeda or an undercover troll who’s made off with her name, and is trying to kick Angelina in the head with this kind of tabloid dreck??
..and furthermore, who are these OTHER undercover trolls, who hot on the heels of some ridiculous tabloid insanity like Angelina Jolie gives her own X-mas gifts to Brad’s sister’s kids with no input from Brad whatsoever (his name is not on the card I guess - LOL), and consequently, Angie alone, is the one who gets ragged on for an inappropriate gift, when Julie the sis, undoubtedly finds fault . Oh sure, I could see it now — Angelina was intent on picking out violent toys, while Brad pleaded with her not to - Angie didn’t listen. They all got home and wrapped up the gifts and Brad said, ‘well you can give it to her, but I’m not,’ and Angie scratched his name off the card and sent all of these violent toys to Missouri for her kids to play with. Brad was not associated with these gifts at all, he gave his nephews Barbie playhouses.
Look, don’t think we don’t know who and what are trolls around here. Listen to this about paltry…
I read in the latest US (before putting it back and NOT buying it) a piece about the ‘Dress that Almost Was.’
It was about the ‘Valentino frock Paltrow considered wearing to this year’s Golden Globes,’ They tracked it and showed it on the runway - and a model wearing this pink fru fru concoction (shades of her Pepto Bismol Oscar dress)…and also had ‘her rep,’ (see HUVANE or his lackeys) weigh in saying ‘it was one of the dresses she considered.’
Well la-di-f**king-DA!!
…and excuse me, but WTF is she even GOING FOR?? …she has no movie, she has no upcoming movie, and she’s not nominated for a damn thing….
…then I remembered…that LIKE MOST OF STEPHEN HUVANE’S CLIENTS, they cannot get off the ‘Brangelina,’ COATTAIL to save their lives. It would have given Paltry a major boost and people would remember she was alive, if they could once more associate her with Brad Pitt (flashback to more than a decade ago). Huvane tried to do it when Brad & Angie were in Chicago by booking Paltry in the same hotel as them and by floating false stories (sound familiar?) about them doing a movie together.
Paltry got press for her stink water from estee Lauder, and that crap movie she did with Downey Jr, plus a few people inquired about the lies.
If Huvane had done none of that - and if Brad & Angelina had not been in Chicago - no one would have known Paltry was there.
LOL…I swear…if it’s not Maniston on the Brangelina coattails, then Stephen Huvane’s trying to set Paltrow up for publicity. So I’m really not surprised he would have tried to book fishsticks on ANGELINA & BRAD’S NIGHT. Hell, he may have even tried to get her front and center. What an ass. He must have really been pissed at Brad for leaving maniston…it ended HIS relationship with a golden movie star.
You’d think however, that the woman (fishsticks) would have some pride and dignity. Sad.
Maybe Huvane can BOOK Maniston and Paltrow as a ‘presenter COUPLE,’ at the award shows that Angelina has ‘lead actress,’ nominations for…kill two birds with one stone..or in this case, give two birds press (both legit and salacious rag) time that they can’t get on their own.
