Tom Cruise celebrates his son Connor’s 13th birthday with a special dinner at The Cut restaurant in Beverly Hills, Calif. on Thursday.
Connor and sister Isabella have been living with (and getting home-schooled by) Tom’s sister, Cass, in her new Beverly Hills home.
According to OK!, the teens have been living with Cass since Tom left for Berlin to shoot Valkyrie.
Connor’s mom Nicole Kidman, who is currently pregnant, is residing in Australia with country superstar husband Keith Urban.

they are better off than they would be having been adopted and prob better off than if they were given their present lifesytle. my issue is with their mental health because it would seem like both parents have divorced the children like neither wants to deal with them because they are a reminder of the other and sadly because they arent biological its probly easier for their parents to detach themselves from the children. Bad for the kids I hope for their sakes they are being shown love by someone and real love because knowing your adopted and your real parents left and basically neglected you and now your adopted parents since divorce are doing the same, how do you as a child cope with the abandonment of not one set of parents but two?!?! i feel sorry for nicole kidman. i think she should actually address the whole living situation in the press via some magazine article in vanity fair or vogue. i only say this because there has been so much bad press for her in terms of the children only living with tom, she said they don’t even call her mom and then katie holmes said they call her mom.
my feeling is, from the bits and pieces we know, is that nicole would be considered to be a suppressive person, even to her own children. and that she agreed, probably when they were born, to allow them to be raised as scientologists. they probably have a gag order on her somehow.

Nicole said the kids spent Christmas with her. She just doesn’t go out of her way like Tom does to make sure the kids are photographed every time they are with her. In that video, Tom basically said he hates psychiatry. Bella and Connor’s grandfather (Nicole’s father”) is a psychologist. I have to wonder what the kids think about the negative comments their father makes about the type of profession their grandfather is in.

Yes, Conor spells his name with one n. Yes, Isabella’s birthday is January. Where you’re wrong is that Conor is already 13 and was born December 1994.
If you remember, adoption papers for Isabella were filed within 2-3 weeks of her birth on January 1 1993. Adoption papers weren’t filed for Conor until he was two months old in February 1995. There was speculation in December 1994 of a failed adoption attempt…. I don’t know if that had anything to do with Conor or even if it was true… but it was widely reported. A cutesie pie story that Tom & Nicole wanted but didn’t get the baby home for Christmas.

Oh c’mon! The answer is obvious. We’re not talking about young kids here. Isabella & Conor are 15 and 13. They’re (especially Isabella) at a critical stage in their education. They need a grounded education, not one that follows a nomad lifestyle. They can’t be jaunting around the globe with their parents in the same way a baby can. It doesn’t matter how good a parent Tom is, he leads a nomad lifestyle. His own education consisted of regularly moving schools/houses and he’s spoken out in the past that he doesn’t want the same for his kids. His sister can give them what Tom & Nicole can’t. When Suri is older, I’m sure she too will have a grounded education. As for Nicole…Conor & Isabella have said they prefer LA, and at their age, they need to have some say in it. As their mother, she will want them to be happy and has no doubt graciously accepted the fact that her ex can offer them more than she can. Although it’s not a traditional upbringing, it’s the best one for these kids under the circumstances.
As for the subject of this thread… definitely NOT Conor’s birthday.

I think the judge said Conor and Bella have to stay, for example, two months with Tom and then two with Nicole, and unfortunatly when it was Tom’s turn to get the kids he was shooting his new film in Germany, that’s why his sister took care of them. It’s certainly not because he doesn’t love them. And the fact they are with Tom and not with Nicole is certainly also because of the judge. She will take care of them later - that’s how it works with a divorce.

It’s interesting that up until 3 years ago, Tom was hardly seen with Bella and Conor in pictures. Both he and Nicole were very protective of their privacy.
Then Tom went wacko! Starting with the couch-jumping event, to the non-stop photo ops these past three years. After the birth of Suri and the wedding, the “wicked stepmother” no longer needed the older kids for photo ops, hence you don’t see them anymore.
Voila! With Mr. Morton’s book and all the videos popping up on the internet showing TC and his Scientology messages, they need the older kids for photo ops again. So I’m not surprised to see TC with Conor in this photo op.
Next up: TC, Katie, Suri, Bella and Conor in a big photo op to continue their “happy family” charade.
They are NOT together. Separate photos of each were taken and then cut and pasted on the same page. Whoever did it screwed up and used the wrong angles. That is why it looks as if they are going in opposite directions.

Hey Toni, The reason no one saw pictures of Nicole with her children is because the children do not like their privacy shown to the world and Nicole has RESPECT for Conner and Bella’s privacy. She LOVES THEM AND DOES NOT USE THEM.

i feel really bad for Connor and Isabella, it seems like they have no place to go and so they live with their aunt. I like tom and katie but if you think about it, suri got a expensive big birthday party and connor got a dinner how messed up is that? i would be surprised if he even got a b-day cake. i think these kids are better off with their mother, she seems more genuine than tom and kat. and i know for a fact katie wants nothing to do with them. She’s too busy with suri her and toms “precious”.
If you look at photos about 40 yrs ago you’ll see that most people dressed up for their birthdays. And 60 yrs ago they dressed like this no matter what they were doing. But alas the drug culture has made dressing like a bum all the rage. I say, disagree. Have pride in your appearance. Happy Birthday, Connor and thank you for setting a good example of a young MAN– as the Jewish people say, when you reach 13 you are now a man. Makes sense to me.
