Erykah Badu and Frou Frou Together
Grammy Award winning singer Erykah Badu arrives in the Caribbean on Thursday sporting a ‘fro(u).
After all, could you really see Erykah layin’ down tracks with the English electronica duo?
Erykah is being featured along with LL Cool J at Recognize! Hip-Hop and Contemporary Portraiture, the first exhibition at the Smithsonian National Portrait Gallery to examine the influence of the Hip-Hop music and style on American culture. The exhibit will open on Feb. 8 and run through Oct. 26.

I have to agree with you…But then again everything about her outfit is weird.
She looks lovely. Just because she different from the cookie cutter blondes with fake extensions, she labeled weird? Two thumbs up for being true to herself. That chick is bad!
WOA … Afro Super Power! are they making a comeback?
This girl is a fashionista in her own right. Erikah has always had her own style, different from the mainstream. She mixes her african eritage with street fashion. She is a beautiful woman, and her eyes are goergeous. She is talented with a soulful voice, why isn’t she getting some press instead of those trainwrecks and top 40 garbage??
I always thought Erika Badu should have been one of the Black Elite supermodels, for her height, and unique look.
I’m a big fan opf Erykah and I always think that she’s fierce cause she follows her own routes, she dares to be innovative, has a great self-esteem and does alot to educate people about the importance of respect and self-esteem/knowledge. On another note: NO that is not her real hair, she has a much shorter afro and likes to change her hair/outfits alot, it’s part of who she is an artist and person, nothing wrong with that BUT if you don’t like it just go to another page- unless you want to be whiny…(yawn)
Koko/#31: She is gorgeous but her look isn’t all that unique and she’s not tall enough to be model i.e. with the typical standards.
Oh my god. That thing is EATING HER HEAD!!!

I don’t know why people think that to be black you have to use your hair like that as a way os respecting your roots.
Effin genius! I wish we could all accept each other as we truly are. This woman exudes self confidence… if she chooses to wear a fro the size of africa, so be it! It’s on her head not yours!
that was not cool jared. i thought we would have seen pics of her and the band frou frou.
She is no an embarrassment at all F a m o u s. I don’t understand your meaning. Her music and style are lovely.
And Jared takes comments into consideration
(from the removal of the Frou Frou add)
I love it when I can see people taking advantage of New York’s urban, funky style.
Why are people saying negative stuff about her hair? Me thinks if you listen to her music, it’ll calm you angry people down!
GWAAN SISTA!!!!

SHE LOOKS RETARDED. UMM GLASSES WITH POPPED OUT LENSES? AND THAT RIDICULOUS AFRO…WHAT A TRY HARD
Her hair looks like the African American edition of Amy WineHouse’s hair. Both looks wild and out of control; both talented .
