Kate Bosworth Vogues With Fashion Designers
If you weren’t impressed with Kate Bosworth’s Vogue cover for the February 2008 issue, scope out her inside photo spreads. They’re breathtaking magnificent.
America’s hottest talents dress their modest muse in Vogue’s main feature “Seven Dates With Kate.” Each of the seven fashion designers—-Thakoon, 3.1 Philip Lim, Proenza Schouler, Door.Ri, Rodarte, Rag & Bone and Derek Lam–were photographed and interviewed for their very own spread with Kate, 25. Some photos were also taken with her 21 costar Jim Sturgess. 21 is out in theaters March 28th.
Here’s what some of designers had to say about Kate the Great:
Thakoon Panichgul: “[Kate] really puts ease into clothes, even if they’re grown-up clothes. It’s the t-shirt generation that understands this idea, and I think it’s what we have in common.”
Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Shouler: “Too many actresses play it safe. She takes risks and understands creativity.”
Doo-Ri Chung: “I’ve always throught of her as a Grace Kelly beauty, but the day of the shoot she looked more like a fashion Mad Max!”
David Neville of Rag & Bone: “She can look really pretty but she can also wear menswear.”

Great photography.
My dear, dear Kate. Why must you insist upon allowing stylists to dress you in clothing worthy of a big ole’ poop sandwich? Couture is fascinating and inspiring… but not like this.
Work it out!!!
I like the poufy multicolored number, but I’d like it on anyone. The Madonna look, not so much.
the worst lois lane in living memory but a pretty girl. cant say anything bad about her cos she hasn’t p*ssed me off yet. there is still time though.
Now thats a bad chick. Even if shes assisted by a stylist her aura is untouchable. One to watch out for.
ya Kate! you show them short girls can model too! lol
BRING THE SUPERMODELS BACK!!
lazaro is so hot. oh yeah, and kate looks pretty too…..
good for her! she looks like she is having fun wtih this.
She looks stiff, out of place and not enjoying the shoot at all.
what’s there to talk about?? she hasn’t done a good movie in years.
They’re pretty nice, it’s good she’s a little healthier now.

There is only one “Kate the Great” in Hollywood, and her surname is Winslet.
Still, she looks nice here. Looks like dumping Craplando Bloom was a winning move.
She looks forced and unnatural in every single pose. They really should leave this type of stuff to the models.
Now there’re a lot of icons who doesn’t really have great movie carrer. They are famous because of paparazzi pics.
Those adds are amazing. gosh she always looks so great in whatever she is in…

She is photogenic and successful in this way. Go Kate!
Yes, Winslet is great because she was a student of Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson.
Maybe Bosworth will be good as much as Winslet, one day…Who knows?
Nice dresses, but she’s photoshopped to the max!
You can really see the 50s, 60s, and 70s styles coming back. I take a look at the main pic of this thread and Kate looks like a chic from the 60s—the hair, the multicolored dress with wide skirt, and the peep-toe heels. Looks good, though.
Boring, boring, boring…did I mention boring? That’s all she can manage. I can barely stay awake when she’s on-screen.
the birth of a fashion muse. kate has amazing style that inspires the young new designers.
The Great Cate is Blanchett, hands down. As for The Boz - she’s growing on me, sort of like a fungus that one develops a grotesque fascination with as it expands and changes form, color and consistency over it’s happy moldy existence.
Methinks Kate should have never gone into acting; she should have began with modeling. Shamefully, I must admit she has a certain photogenic presence on paper, and can wear most clothes well.
Now that she does something well, she ought to hold to it.
Do. Not. Want.
