“You will understand why being black in america isn’t solely about skin color.”
God, anon you have issues!
If people think about blacks like that in America, I’ll never set foot there.
Too much racism. And you are a racist, i’m afraid.
Wentworth Miller is white.
Saying that he is black is ridiculous for 80% of the world.
America is still racist, I see.
Sad.
Samira ;-)
i belive
Mr. Miller the second say its a great honour for him …. lol
;-)
:-) :-) :-)
llona, you really don’t get it, do you? just like most whites you always think it’s about you, don’t you? it’s not a matter of “if people think about blacks like that in America”, it’s how blacks identify THEMSELVES, dumb ass!! went’s black family CHOOSES to identify as black because of their heritage and their pride in who they are! but i guess that’s just beyond your comprehension, huh, because in your mind everyone should leap at the chance to be white, especially if they “look white”!
like i said, educate yourself about black people in america. you also, domenica. understand that “80% of the world” doesn’t override black people’s heritage or culture, family ties, blood ties, the black experience in this country etc. we blacks come in all colors, always have. most black families have every color of the rainbow, from the darkest to the ligihtest—all black! get it?
LOL Lee @230 :)
Oh my god, i can’t believe it, his father said to you : “it’s a great honour for him !!!!!! ”
I am so happy lol !!!!!!!!
Lee, in my wedding, i would invite All went addicts lol !!!!!!, i hope you will come Lee LOL :) :)
“went’s black family CHOOSES to identify as black ”
Not true. He never said a word about it before he wanted to be in the Human Stain. Even at Princeton, he never said a word.
Samira ;-)
of course i will come to your wedding.
that would be a great honour * FOR ME * :-)
can you read, domenica? i said his “black family” chooses to identify as black! his black family–you know the ones in the picture with his dad? the ones that range in color from dark to light, went’s aunt’s, uncles, etc. the ones that look like the majority of black people in this country? go back and look at went’s father and his family. that’s what black people look like in the united states. understand?
It’s no point to talking with Anon. He is racist like all the Americans. It is so stupid in this 21first century!
For me also Wentworth is a white man because his skin is white. He has grandfathers who are black and many people also have grandfathers black or chinese, or all colours and it’s not important. BurtAmerican people are so racist and make a difference between your origins.
It is their problem they love hating other people, it is best not talking with racist Anon.
I hope we stop this discussion of racism . I love Went and I think he’s so beautiful!
LOL :D Lee
Oooh Lee, you are so nice, thank you sweetie :) ;)
You will be my bridesmaid ;) lol
yes Samira
;-) which color the dress will have.
green would be nice, fits perfect to my eyes :-)
#219, this will be my last comment on this subject, because I can’t believe that this has turned into such a debate… For me mixed race is not a bad thing at all, it’s a positive thing. Saying that he’s white when he’s got ancestry from Africa, Northern Europe and the Middle East is in my opinion saying that it’s only the white part that counts, and trying to oppress the other parts… Anyway, enough about this!
How was last night’s episode, I haven’t seen it yet. And Samira, I’m so happy for you! Question, can I take some of his DNA to make a clone? ;)
jyvaline, just because it makes you more comfortable to view wentworth as white, doesn’t make it so. went himself has said repeatedly that he’s not white.what is sad is that so many of you just can’t accept that in america black people come in all complexions including light as went. like i said, go look at the picture of went’s father standing with his brothers, sisters and other family members. this is what american black people look like. what is “racist” about me telling you that? it’s a fact. get over it.
“But I’m not white,” Actor Wentworth Miller told me…

I think I’ve rest my case…now I’m done.
PS. Hallo to all the WA ladies!!! ;-}
LL LOL Egoist ;-)
…. and what is with the other WA`s ??? ;-)
Don’t worry, Lee, I’ll make a clone each for all the WA’s… ;)
Lee, yes, why not ?? lol :)
I didn’t know that you have green eyes Lee, you are lucky, so, you are a beautiful girl then. ;).
Thank you Samira ;-)
Stop this nonsense, Anon you say that “black “people are all colours :why call them black? I refuse to talk more with you because you ignore the rest of the world. All people are mixed on the surface of this planet and saying Went is black is very ridiculous..
It is very political what you say and it is not nice to human beings who are same with just difference of skin colour , eye colour , size, tall or small. It is racist and political what you say in in my country, you will be very shoking.
it is better you don’t talk with me because I will not talk to a person who say what you say.You see the world in a strange way in America and I hope all the American are not all like you and do not call white man black or white because of his grandfathers. In the rest of this planet, only his colour skin say what he is., his family story is not a burden to be put on him.
Hi wentfanatic ;)
Yes, hi Wentfanatic, sorry I completely missed your hello! *blushing*
interesting language you use, yvaline. you show by your choice of words your racism. why do you use the term “burden” to describe his family story? is being of black heritage, being black a “burden” in your estimation, something to be ashamed of, to escape somehow? that’s the problem with your way of thinking, yvaline. you are unconsciously racist and don’t even realize it. what gives you the right to define black people’s reality in this country? if i’m black and i tell you that black people in this country range in color from very dark to very light, who are you to dispute that? we are black, african-american (used to be called negro, colored, afro-american, etc) because this is who we are and how we identify. your country does not have the history of slavery, jim crow, segregation, etc. that this country has so your point about how the rest of the world sees fair-skinned black people is of no consequence. and basically it shows a high degree of disrespect and arrogance on your part! you claim to be a fan of went yet you have no understanding and no respect for this man’s culture, identity and family. went’s family honors their connection to their great-grandfather who was the first generation out of slavery. while you’re so busy trying to make went white to suit your comfort level, you need to think on that, what it means to have grandparents living whose grandparents themselves were in slavery. went is proud of his black heritage and rightfully so. his family story is not a “burden”, as you can, from your racist perspective, but a heritage to celebrate with pride.
@ Yvaline
You’re right, this debate is ridiculous and sadly, it proves some American blacks are still not free in their minds from the chains of slavery. It’s a form of masochism and there’s no point in trying to persuade them their vision is warped.
Every man is free of the chains of the past, but many don’t realise it.
Good read on Wenty

kateben, all americans, black AND white, aren’t free of the “chains of slavery”. that’s why in 2007 you have nooses being left on black people’s doorsteps, jena6, black women maligned as “nappy headed hos”. none of us are free, black or white. not until we face our history. it starts with mutual respect i.e., respecting another’s family, identity, history. went’s black family is black. black people come in all colors. only a fool would dispute that. or are you a clueless european too? do you live in america?open your eyes and see the range of complexions of black peole in this country.
