Lucas Grabeel has been cast in the upcoming Harvey Milk biopic from Sean Penn…..what a coup, Lucas! Getting to work with Sean will be huge on LG’s resume. Snarky Perez says, “Guess Zefron passed on it” (Harvey Milk was a flamboyant gay SF councilman gunned down by Dan White at City Hall).
I’m getting the book “Me and Orson Welles” this weekend. Anyone else? Available on amazon.com if you’re interested.

where are his parents? zac still looks sick and is so thin…he shouldn’t be out yet and should be recuperating at home…why didn’t his parents take him how with them, at least for the time being…
I’m so happy for Lucas. That really is something that he will be working with Sean Penn! He is certainly one talented young man. Unfortunately, stupid Perez will probably soon be making snarky remarks about him too. As a matter of fact, I have seen comments about Lucas and Corbin. Some people don’t know what else to write about young men who’s stars are on the rise so they say something about them being gay. I think it is rather strange considering the day and age we live in and how everyone is being taught tolerance to then see someone like Perez use it against any good looking young actor on the scene. Don’t haters and bashers have some original or more creative line to use against these talented men?

Kendra - ha! Yep, already ordered my copy of the book. I like to read books that I know are becoming movies. I know sometimes you can be disappointed with a film adaptation, but I usually end up enjoying the book and movie for the different things they bring to the story…in this case, I’m sure Zac will make the movie far from disappointing for me! LOL. When I was on amazon, they were saying they had only a few more books left but more would be restocked soon…wonder if this Z news had anything to do with that or if it has just been a popular book in general. I had heard of it before…who knows.
Also, that’s great news for Lucas. He seems like a nice, intelligent, talented young man. I’m sure he has a bright future ahead too.

#173 - yeah, I think he started to run a little but very quickly slowed to a walk probably as his body reminded him he needed to…he’s so active that it’s probably hard for him to have to do that, but he’ll be getting his strength back and up and running his heart out soon, I’m sure.

#177 Peronally if I were Zac I probably would have waited a few more days before going out. But as I said in an earlier post if he felt up for going out and obviously he did, more power to him. I mean only he knows for sure how he was feeling.
As far as his parents taking him home with him, well he’s an adult and they couldn’t very well force him to come home if he didn’t want to. Besides I just don’t think he’s the kind of guy who wants people hovering and fussing over him.

I’m glad I’m not the only one wanting to read “Me and Orson Welles” now. Rather than wait for amazon, I think I’m going to head down to Barnes and Noble this weekend and hope they have it in paperback. It seems like it might be a quick read - only 270-some pages. I’ll probably post some kind of book discussion thread on Zac’s imdb.com page if you want to join in when you’ve finished it.
BTW, I meant to mention (but forgot) that Lucas will not be playing Harvey Milk, rather another character, a friend of Harvey’s. Still, a great experience for Lucas to be working with Sean Penn, et al. I’m sure all of his HSM-mates are excited for him and maybe a little green with envy!

Hey Zac Fan and troy, hope your weekend is starting out great.
I know Zac hates to be cooped up and he probably was wanting something good to eat! LOL So, he probably felt like he was up to going to Paty’s—which must be like home to him right now—-and then back home. I doubt that he wanted to have a big encounter with the paps but he should have known they would be waiting at the back door for him also. But the fans are able to see that he is doing OK, so all is well. I does still look rather pale and weak which is not surprising. Yes, he quickly slowed down when he tried to jog those few steps! LOL
As far as his parents taking him back home. That is a 3 hour trip which would be a little much for this young man who just got out of the hospital from having surgery. People ought to think about that, not to mention having to face a 3 hour trip back again. If his parents had to bring him back then they would have ANOTHER 3 hour trip back to their home! People need to think about those things. I’m sure Zac would never want to put his parents through all that hassle. Plus, I’m sure Zac will be trying to get back on the set as soon as possible to finish his movie if it isn’t anything too strenuous.
With a cast like that Lucas is a very lucky young man and should get quite a bit of notice. Sometimes you don’t always have to be the star of a vehicle to get noticed. I know I have read where Lucas has said he doesn’t worry about being noticed the most but he just tries to do his best. He seems to also be a humble person. I wish him, Ashley, Vanessa, and Zac all the best and I hope they will have really intelligent people who have their best interest at heart helping to lead them in their career choices.

I’m so glad Zac is getting back to his old self and daily routine. Being in the hospital after surgery takes a toll on your physical and mental health but he has his Baby V, family and best friend Ashley to help him get through this ordeal. So he’ll be fine. LOVE seing Zac and Vanessa happy together again.
i hope they are not rushing zac to work too soon, only when he feels he is able to.
