Brad Pitt For Edwin Jeans
Peep the new Brad Pitt ad for Japanese clothing brand Edwin Jeans!
Pitt, 44, has been their official spokesman and model for the brand for almost a decade now.
As always, there are rumors of Brad and Angelina Jolie adopting. UK’s Daily Mirror is reporting that the couple are hoping to visit African orphanages over the Easter holidays in March to find another daughter. Take this with a grain of salt!

#68 - Brad used to look 10 years younger, but that is no longer the case. He has really aged the past couple of years. That is a major photoshop job or that picture was taken at least 5 years ago.
#99: Jared started out with mostly Brad and Angelina threads so naturally he will continue what he started because it’s been a success. Trolls have been coming here for as long as fans have…so have you. It’s a matter of supply and demand so yes, it is a business for Jared.

Hey PT - we haven’t cornered the market on entertainment news, but us Canucks get our fair share up here :-) Especially with all the films that get made in Vancouver etc. They don’t call us Hollywood North for nuthin’!
Maybe I just notice it more because it is in my backyard, but I can think of a number of big stories out of Canada - ie: Ben Affleck getting it on with a stripper in Vancouver, thereby triggering the implosion of the biggest couple at that time; Prince Harry partying it up in Calgary with some ‘cowgirls’; everything that goes on at TIFF (including Angie and Brad’s car getting swarmed beyond belief); all the great stories of Angie and Brad’s time in Alberta and Montreal while filming, … and the list goes on. It’s rare to go more than a week without hearing of some big celebrity being in Vancouver, either for filming or just enjoying our beautiful city.
Fortunately we seem to be spared of the Britneys and Parisites, for which I am thankful!! :D Okay, I’m done representin’ ;-)

To be nominated, 1/6 of voters’s first choice surpasses everyone’s last choice.
I like all candidats for Best Actress (Angie, Julie, Marion,Ellen, Cate, Keira,Linney etc) but am wishing Angie in the list.

1) They put the first choices in stacks in order of most to fewest.
2) If anyone/film gets 1/6+1 votes, its a nominee, and all those ballots are put aside and no longer used
3) They then go to the end of the pile - those ballots with the fewest #1 votes in reverese order then have their #2 choices put into the existing #1 stacks
4) At any point any stacks has 1/6+1, voila, a nominee is found, that film’s stack is removed
5) If at the end of the number #2 reallocation, then from the lowest pile the #3 choices are looked at, again reallocated, again same procedure

Okay this is not the end of the world. There will be other Oscar nominations next year and each year after that. There wont even be an award ceremony coz of the writers strike so why are the troll foaming in the mouth like they have seen some raw game? Brad was not nominated last year for Babel, did his life stop? No. He was not nominated this year for AOJJ and Angie has not been nominated for AMH and I will bet you that their lives continue and so does their love. It is not defined by award shows, am sure they have enough awards between them that this is just a by the way. Their love and family is a bigger award than any.

Well, I still want to congratulate Angelina for a job well done for AMH. So the Academy saw it fit not to honor her, but someone else. That’s okay. One of my most favorite actor, Humphrey Bogart, didn’t win an Oscar until very late in his career; so did Paul Newman (I thought he was awarded for a sh*tty movie, The Color of Money, and not one of his earlier, better works). Angelina already has one, she doesn’t need another to validate her acting.

I missed the 75th, which had Olivia deHavilland who rarely leaves Europe; I don’t intend to miss out on any surprises, again assuming that the Oscars are a go.

I said on a number of occasions that Angelina would not receive a nomination. She had a shot but her spot was never secure. It’s really not the end of the world and calling for a boycott is ridiculous. We seem to care about these things more than she does. All Angelina wanted with for this film was for the message of understanding and tolerance to shine through and to produce something that Marianne would be satisfied with in the end..
The format in which AMPAS members use to vote hindered rather than helped her chances. She needed members to outright ‘love’ her performance not just ‘like’ it. She needed a lot of #1 from AMPAS member’s ballots rather than say #4s or #5s. I’m sure Marion and Julie and Ellen received many of these #1’s and Cate and Laura were right behind.
Anyway congratulations to all the nominees and better luck next time to all those who ended up getting snubbed. It will be interesting to see whether the show will actually go on with the strike.

Hello everyone! I can’t speak for anyone else but I am entitled to my opinion. I don’t like the political agenda with the Academy and yes, I am very disappointed with Angelina not being nominated. It became painfully obvious and too deja vu from Brad’s non nomination last year for his performance in Babel. It’s too coincidental for me and not to mention that the X is now an Academy voter. I will watch the red carpet if there is any but I will not watch the actually broadcast. It’s not childish. It’s my perogative, my choice, my democratic desire. I am making an adult decision not to tolerate anything this is less than fair. I appreciate Brad and Angie’s work and I know that they already know their worth personally and professionally. My malice towards the Academy is a result of years of disillussion from the obvious good ole boy system, corporate hijinks, and political agenda. What was upseeting was that Angie was both nominated for GG and SAG, and to be replaced by Laura Linney who was not nominated for GG and SAG, its just so unfair!
All the other nominees, Cate, Marion, Ellen, and Julie were both nominated for GG and SAG and so is Angie, she should be the rightful 5th nominated actress.
There must be a mistake that it has to be her that they took out and replaced by Linney just for the the academy to be different from the ohter award bodies.
I hope some of you shake this off soon because to haters, your tantrums are more delicious than Angelina not getting nominated.
And for the record, the fact that Angelina’s performance wasn’t forgotten due to the summer release and due to Fox’s machinations says a lot. She was recognized for it everywhere but by the Academy. I really agree. There’s nothing wrong with be disappointed but you’re right the tantrums and conspiracy theories are a bit much.
I followed the awards season quite closely and for a movie like AMH and Angelina’s performance to still be considered for awards when it came out so long ago is a great accomplishment.
~I am disapointed,but not surprised. People give awards,but God give rewards. Brad and Angie are doing some wonderful things for man kind. Oscar is nothing compared to the genuine appreciation and graditude the people of NOLA and others places bestow upon them. The Oscars are not a true representation of a wonderful Actor or actress. Angelina didn’t even campaing that hard for AMH, she knew that this movie had too much baggage to get her a nomination.
Angelina and Brad, both have a little do to with the fact that her tabloid persona is getting in the way of her professional life.
Angelina: because she ignores the rumors. Very bad tactic because some of those rumors, as stupid as they be, now are truth on the minds of people.
Brad: because he has some degree of fault in keeping the myth of “poor jen” and “angelina, the bad guy” alive.
His comments in interviews, like “jen and I have a deep friendship” and him refusing to give credit to angie for his now “amazing” humanitarian work, are finally paying off.

Needless to say I am sickened…IT WAS A SNUB bottomline, and it more clearly illustrates how Brad was snubbed last year. A lot of people tried to rationalize that one away and make it something other than a diss (even fans)…oh brad had a small role in babel, brad’s screentime was limited, and blah..blah..blah,etc, and I’m sure there will be a few people that will hysterically try to do the same with Angie, but hers, illustrates much more that Brad’s why this was/is a snub to end all snubs bottomline.
Take heart..at the end of the day, what happens is Angelina is seen as a martyr and victim of a jealous group of influential old guard bats (don’t fool yourselves into thinking it’s only ‘huvaniston’ and their monster PR firm doing the lobbying behind the scenes, it could also be ‘connected’ folks in the camps of your paltrows, winfrey and julia roberts) punishing her for her superstar status, her talent, the lie that she ‘took’ the role from Maniston (Tom Oneils smear job just two days ago, now appears to have been a bellweather and ‘hint’ that angie did not have the votes…I say he knew about it, and also knew the rationale behind the bitties and bats snub…he was clued in, and that’s why he said what he did)..Angie is being punished by them for her amazing life with Brad. They are withholding Oscar because in the end these same bats and bitties (avg age 60) feel as Oneil stated that she “stole the role and stole Brad.” Oneil got a head’s up on the snub and started the dialogue his rag will continue (angie was denied because of a jealous envious old guard) they’ll begin her annual deconstruction and smearing all over again. I have a feeling Brad and angie knew/know about this stuff in advance. this is no surprise to them. This has made jolie even bigger, if that’s possible.
I wish that I could rise above it all and say that I’m OK with Angie not being nominated, but I can’t. I am disappointed, especially as I absolutely do not believe that Cate’s performance in this particular movie, was any way near Angie’s in AMH. Can’t say for LL as I didn’t see it.
As for watching the Oscars, I don’t usually watch these type of shows anyway, unless B&A are there.

I have a sneaking feeling that Casey Affleck will win Best Supporting Actor. Both he and javier Bardem played creepy characters in their films. Let’s see how the SAG awards go.

Especially when the very night before she will be at the Independent Spirit Awards because she was nominated. Also ther writers strike is still going on. If it’s still going on, NO ACTOR will cross that line. Ther gossip queens (i’m talking to you Tom O’Neill) will again have nothing to talk about. The SAG and Spriit awards are the places to be at this year. Santa Barbara Film Festival is special because Angelina is recognized specifically for her performance. Mrs Lenny, I totally agree with you. And I think that bothers a lot of people in HW. If she and Brad are nominated and win, they are happy. But they have other things in their lives that bring them just as much or more joy and happiness. That annoys some people. These two feel complete within themselves, with each other and their children. Accolades from you peers are wonderful if they are heartfelt and sincere. If you have to kiss azz and prostitue yourself to receive them, then no. Look at all of the good actors who were left off of the list. I will always remember what Denzel said when he won for Training Day. He said if he won he was going home and would have dinner with his wife and children. And if he lost, he was going home and would have dinner with his wife and children. He already had a Oscar for best supporting actor. She has Brian Garzer, who will campaing his ass off for the movie and her, Ron Howard, Ron Meyer and Clint on her back.
Don’t worry guys, to win you need to play with the big cats, and angie didn’t have a massive support this year.
Next year will be old school, big studios movies all over again, Leo and Kate with Sam Mendes, Nicole and Hugh with Baz and of course Cate, Brad with Fincher, good movie year ahead of us.

The frastration is understandable for most of us, I just feel that the Changeling will be a better role for her to bag an almost definate oscar nomination and with Clint Eastwood we have better things to look forward to in the new year. Frankly I felt that there were people who thought AMH to be politcal and we know how war movies fared in 2007 so it did not come as a suprise to me. Look at Rendition, Lions for Lambs and even Charlie Wilson’s War. Most people would like to steer clear of that and it kind of explains the direction in which the nominations went. You can tell that the war movies were not a favourite pick and it has nothing to do with Angelina as an Actress. AOJJ on the other hand was completly the undoing of WB even though Brad had one of his best performance. Lets see how 2009 Oscars play with TCCOBB and The Changeling. Am already optimistic.
Eh, I’m disappointed she didn’t get nominated, but not shocked. It was a quiet little movie that came out a long time ago. Besides, the buzz around her performance is reward enough. She’s always been known as a hit or miss actress, and AMH did a LOT to change that perception. I guarantee you she’s getting better scripts because of it. And when next she’s up for awards consideration, she’ll be thought of as a more solid actor and it will be easier for people to nominate her.
I, for one, am pissed off that the academy did not recognize Angelina for AMH. Every precursor up to today was proof of the amazing work she did. The academy can go fcuk themselves and I will make sure to be at the Santa Barbara Film Festival with the biggest sign in favor of Angelina and I will be cheering the loudest when she is honored.

Politcal in more ways than one. I think if NAACP noms had come out before the voting for the Oscar Angelina would have gotten more votes. Alot of old timers were hurt when the word racism came up many years ago. I think some may have been alitte gun shy to vote for Angelina. The acedamy hates controversey.

I really think, there are people in the academy who silently campaign for her to be shut out!!! There are lots of jealous HW players who lost out roles to her, and who she has now overtaken in terms of popularity, the likes of Julia roberts, (she is jealous of Angie), Tom Hanks (maybe he is jealous of Brad) and all their clout!
I am sure Brad and Angie are relieved that they do not have to walk another red carpet. One less hussle.

I think fans should be proud of Angelina for her potrayal of AMH

But how the hell could they have forgotten about AMH. Didn’t Away from Her and La Vie En Rose come out around the same time. They weren’t forgotten. Angelina wasn’t forgotten when she was nominated for SAG or GG or Independent Spirit Award or by the Santa Barbara Film Festival. All of tjhese nominations came out prior to the oscar ballots being sent out to the voters. I’m not trying to shoot the messenger but Adam’s reasoning holds no water. I say fcuk them all.
The last time the “biggest movie star in the world” got nominated for anything major was for the Academy Awards & Golden Globes for his role in Magnolia in 2000 and in 2004 Golden Globes for The Last Samurai. He won the Golden Globes in 2000. I think he was nominated in a minor award for Vanilla Sky. That was maybe 4 or 5 years ago.
I am extremely disappointed that Angelina didn’t get nominated. The Oscars are a joke and based on politics. I too feel a sense of déjà vu from last year when Brad was snubbed. I think there’s more to it that just being passed over but I’m not going to muse over it. I’ll get over my disgust with the Academy and continue to root for Brad and Angelina. I used to watch the Oscars every year but I stopped watching them two years ago and this year, won’t watch either – not interested anymore. Of course, there is the matter of the WGA strike, which I hope continues until a day after the Oscars is supposed to be broadcast! :-)

OMG, Cliniqua. You are such a psycho. You’ve been on everyone all season who said, “Hey, don’t get ahead of yourselves, she might not get nominated.” Well, she didn’t. That doesn’t make us trolls. It makes us pessimists. And it makes us a whole lot calmer this morning. I wanted her to get nominated. But I also realized that she might not, and that that wouldn’t be the end of the world. Not everyone who doesn’t bow down to your insane conspiracy theories and psychotic tendencies is a troll.
Anyway, I was initially coming on to post that I think this probably increases the odds of Brad and Angie showing up for the SAG Awards. She’s going to want to hold her head up high and show that not getting an Oscar nomination is not the end of the world.
Angie’s biggest competition is Ellen Page for the Spirit Awards.
It would be great if Angie get sthe award. It would be an upset considering all the publicity saturation for Ms. Page.

Because of some of $h*tty attitude here, now I do hope the Oscars will go on. I also hope Brad and Angelina attend because, after all, this is the 80th anniversary and they were both nominees. Angelina has a seat waiting for her in the class reunion segment. And if this was a ‘punishment’, why not have Pitt P*rn dcik-slapping those who aren’t in the position to reprimand.

I’m a little disappointed that Angie didn’t, and yes, I was hoping Brad would too, get nominated. It’s OK, it doesn’t change the fact that they were both outstanding in their performances. What DOES tick me off, is the academy’s system. WTH do they need to nominate Cate TWICE? Have they ever heard of sharing the wealth? Why does she need to be nominated in two different categories? I’m not even gonna get started on who shouldn’t be there, I’m just gonna drop it. Whatever, it’s no skin off my nose, I just won’t watch the oscars for the third year in a row, boring as they are and will be again this year. I was more upset when the GG got canceled, because it’s my favorite awards show. Anyway, it frees up my evening for that night. And Brad and Angie won’t have to stress it the whole time, lol. They can stay home and enjoy their family.

I begin to wonder whether the Academy voters no longer view her acting performance in AMH as a single entity, but rather, has blurred into of some of the characteristics painted by the constant headlines of the tabs. IMO, Angie more than deserved this Oscar nom, and to be replaced by two other actresses who weren’t even nominated for a GG, or SAG, begs the question, “What the H*LL is going on with the Academy?

But from the start of Cannes, to the accumulating critical acclaim she has gathered along the way up until now, plus the DVD release she did, the interviews she’s done to support it….there was no possible way she or her performance could have been ‘forgotten’ it’s been mentioned every single time ‘possible Oscar nods’ are talked about!!! So that is f*cking laughable…and an excuse only an idiot will believe. It was a vindictive snub. Angelina in an earlier interview this year when promoting Amh…remarked on ‘attacks,’ she would get…I thought that language for her, was a bit harsh…but in retrospect it shows me that she’s very much aware of the antagonism many (mostly jealous females) have for her..it also showed how much she didn’t care, as she said it doesn’t affect her life. Like I said…it’s an angelina jolie world whether the haters like it or not…they’ll spend most of their day and week on angie..moreso than the fans even..lol…while the media outlets today and throughout the week will probably only be talking about the angie snub …why?? .because not only is it MILLIONS in ad dollars down the drain for the oscars telecast (you could put a gun to my head and I still wouldn’t watch what will surely be the most boring as sh*t show EVER, lol ) Angelina is once again the only one people care about…you’ll see it in the coverage today.

Why do we assume it was Laura Linney that took Angelina’s spot? Cate Blanchett was nominated twice.
It’s silly to pretend that she doesn’t have a lot of bad movies. And that’s ALL I was saying. There is no one who’s not a superfan who would deny that the past couple of years have been a resurgence for Angie after a string of critically panned films. And that was my point. I think for some of the academy voters, they still have some of those previous films in the back of their minds, so nomination or not, AMH will help Angelina hugely in the future because it moves her more and more into the territory of actresses who do quality films, and further away from stuff like Life or Something Like It.
You people need to stop lashing out at anyone who doesn’t lockstep into line. Some of us have our own opinions. I can like an actress and think she’s done bad movies. I love Kate Winslet too, but I’m not going to defend Holy Smoke or The Life of David Gale. People are allowed to be casual fans, and they shouldn’t have people jumping on their case for it.
