Michelle Williams en Route to NYC
ETonline posted the first photo of Michelle Williams, Heath Ledger’s former fiancee, and 2-year-old daughter Matilda Rose arriving at at Landvetter Airport in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The picture was taken on Wednesday morning. The mother-daughter duo caught a flight to New York after learning of the 28-year-old actor’s untimely death. They are expected to arrive around 6PM EST.
Michelle, 27, had been in Sweden working on her new film Mammoth, also starring Gael García Bernal.

Although the passing of Heath is tragic, the fact that the media is so obsessed with getting the *first* picture of his former fiancé and child grieving is the most tragic of all.

we are all saddened & shocked by this untimely death but there is something disturbing about putting a camera in michelle williams’ as well as matilda’s face when they are returning to face the enormity of the truth: that she is now facing raising a two year daughter all by herself, without the father to lean on for support. no one will know matilda like heath did and michelle shared that with him, it was a bond she will never duplicate. and matilda will never know her father. yes, we are all saddened, like i said, but i wish the media would give her a little space. to go through this is tough enough, to go through it with cameras shoved in your face must be unbearable. let’s show some respect.

According to a story in the London Daily Mail Ledger was into drugs big time for the least three years. It would explain why his “marriage” broke up, it would explain the gaunt picture of him recently here on this blog, as well as the pictures of him in very strange clothes, and it might even explain his “odd” behavior at the 2006 Oscars where he giggled throughout his presentation. The story says Gyllenhaal has tried to help him stop, Jack Nicholson warned him what would probably happen, etc., etc., but nothing worked. And finally he went the way of many Hollywood stars: to a drugged death in isolation.
This is terrible. Poor Michelle. I feel so bad for her and her little daughter. :(

It’s no secret he was on drug, this rumor was all over the internet. they just copy and add a little jiuce on it. but I think he was quite fine in Oscar 2006.
Totally agree that this photo speaks volume of Michelle’s grief and it is an invasion of her privacy, but I’d also like to add that this is a celebrity based website where the majority of photos supplied are from paps.

I would be more disgusted at the photos of his body being taken from the apartment building.Seeing these photos was really shocking and as a human being and a mother, I can’t imagine what it would be like seeing your loved one wheeled out like that in such an undignifed manner in front of the world’s press.

I just saw pictures of Michelle and Matilda arriving at their NY home. Matilda was smiling away probably unaware of what’s going on and that she’s never going to see her dad again. Poor thing.

Jake Gyllenhaal has yet to be seen or heard from since the death of his close friend, Heath Ledger — and people on the set of his new film are working hard to keep it that way.
Gyllenhaal is in New Mexico, currently filming his new movie, “Brothers.” We’re told there are no plans to shut down production, but Jake is very upset and doesn’t want to talk to the media — so the set has been closed to non-crew members and extra security has been hired.

The whole thing is simply a commentary on the intimate relationship between acting and drugs. Drugs are all over acting. Not every actor is a druggie, but many, too many, are. And some overdose or decide to overdose. The only other question for the coroner is whether this was an accident or suicide. I would guess accident, but with people as disturbed as actors often are, one cannot really know.

The drugs found were prescription and over the counter drugs, not illegal Just the Ambien alone can make you do many things that you normally would not do. He probably got confused and doubled up dosage of everything he had while in the Ambien state of mind. Americans in general are the biggest drug takers, illegal, perscription and over the counter, than anywhere in the world. It’s ironic that Heath an non- American would fall into the trap.

Why do people constantly make ridiculous assumptions. He is the father of her child and no one knows the circumstances for ending there relationship (only months ago). With such a tragic death surrounded by so many unknowns I can only pray she doesn’t have a breakdown.
As far as the Chris Benoit comment I find it disturbing to link a man who’s life was just lost (accidental or intentional) with a man who murdered his family.

You’re site is suppose to be one of the premium celeb sites- keep it that way! If you don’t remove this pic by this evening (11:59 EST), I will no longer support you or your website.

#60 you are right, it is because of us that they are stalking her and the family in this sad moment in time. we look on the internet and buy the magazines. if we boycotted the magazines and blogs for a day or even a week they wouldnt stalk her or the family. i wish the cops never released the fact they found a rolled up $20 bill cause we all think it was illegal drugs , but guess what you stupid f***ing cops, it tested negative! yall are just as worse as the papzo.. all i can think about is that little Matilda Rose will never know truely who her daddy was. she has memory and pics and his movies, but she will never be held in his arms again or ride on his shoulders and hear “i love you” from him. it hurts me deeply, cause i have a 2 yr old and she loves her daddy so much and to imagine her life with out him kills me. god has his plans , he knows what he is doing by taking “his old soul” to heaven. may god be with Michelle and Matilda and his family in their time of need. who cares he had a fling with mary-kate or anyone else, we want to know of him as he was a great actor,man and dad, not partier and who he saw.
the one thing that gets me is that the masesuse didnt call 911 for 45min after she found him unconsious. she called mary kate twice and then decided to call 911, how messed up was that.

I love paparazzi photos, but even I think this is too much. This isn’t like Britney who wants constant pap attention, this is someone who LOATHES this kind of attention and at a time when she has to be DEVASTATED, they should back off.
Seeing the paparazzi hound Michelle in her moment of grief, I begin to the understand why the producers on the set of “Brothers” in New Mexico immediately closed their set and hired security to keep people out the minute they got the news so the press wouldn’t hound Jake Gyllenhaal, who’s also reported to be overwhelmed with sadness right now.
Poor Michelle, she has to be a mother alone with the pain that his ex is dead, that is so sad!!!!
What she really needs now is support, so I give all my support to her and also i think that in this horrible moments the paparazzi could stop making photos like a sign of respect.
I am a fan of Ledger and i will be all my life, he was a great actor!!!
Hope that now he is resting in peace!!

Morbid curiosity is a part of human nature unfortunately, and there will always be those whose moral standards are next to none. Obviously this has been the case here when posting the picture.

It is a true testiment of how loved both Mr Ledger and Ms Williams are, through how shocked people are at Mr Ledger’s passing… and how people are sticking up for her on this thread. I commend people for doing so.
Hollywood has lost a huge talent, fans have lost a beloved actor…most of all a family has lost a dear son/father/soulmate/friend. Jake Gyllenhaal will have a huge task in his Godfather duties, but I am sure he will do a great job at it.

Wow, for the paps to take stalk Michelle and Matilda during this difficult time is disgusing. Even more disgusting is that people would post and display such pictures. I wish the media would give Heath’s family and Michelle and her family the privacy they rightfully deserve at this time. i hope justjared and other sites will choose not to post such pictures in the future.
