Michelle Williams’ Family: Heath Was a Beautiful Flame
Michelle Williams‘ father Larry told Australia’s The Daily Telegraph that Heath Ledger’s death has left his family broken hearted.
Mr. Williams said, “I think [poet] Tennyson got it right in the poem when he described someone as having died at a young age but burning the candles at both ends, and oh what a beautiful flame he made, that was Heath, what a beautiful flame he made and a great talent.
“My heart goes out to everyone in his family and my family. The saddest thing is his 2-year-old daughter [Matilda] whom he just loved dearly.”

He was a beautiful talent which I enjoyed watching, with immense pleasure and pride, being from the same place as him. I cannot read these without shedding a tear, even for one I would never know.
Why is it that talent dies so young and others, well, you know!!
I feel for his family, Michelle and his beautiful Matilda, who will always live with her father through his films, but will never, ever know him. So very sad.

His daughter looks so much like him. She’s so beautiful. My prayers are with his family.
I am really shocked by this tragic news. Heath Ledger had an enormous talent and his death at the age of 28 is heartbreaking. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends. May he Rest in Peace.
i was really really shocked..he was so young..and was a great actor..why did he do that?!..how sad..

I really feel sad about this tragedy. He was one of my favourite actors. My heartfelt condolence to his family. It is so sad that his little girl whom he loved so much would never see him again. Hollywood lost a great talent.
Such a loss! I still remember and will always remember his wonderful performance in The Four Feathers. It is one of my favourite films and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anybody who hasn’t seen it yet! It is the story of a young man in Victorian England, who is an officer but refuses to go to war in Africa. His father, who is an important general, disowns him; his officer friends ostracize him and his fiancee eventually leaves him for one of them. Heath’s character follows them to Africa in secret and saves their lives. The scene where he tells his African friend (Djimon Hounsou) that he will go to prison as a prisoner to try and save one of his friends is one of my favourites and Hounsou’s reply “You are a fool … my friend” always brings tears to my eyes. Excellent!
As I said, I wholeheartedly recommend! It’s so interesting that Heath’s high-quality movies outnumber those of many older actors in the business, though he had such a short life-span. He will no doubt remain in the history of cinema as a very bright, permanent light. Another title that comes to mind is Brokeback Mountain. So much quality in such a short time!
I am so sad and my heartfelt condolences go out to Heath’s family. A beautiful and talented actor from Australia will be sadly missed from fans around the world. Heath was also one of my favourite actors.

this is so shocking! one of my first thoughts after reading about this was that heath will forever be elevated into cult status. he was a big star but his celebrity wasn’t as massive as some other actors. he will be revered by fans especially after they watch his posthumous films. i am incredible saddened by this. you will be missed, heath!!! :(

Heath has always been my favorite a total stranger but someone so familiar someone so great. I am devasted that we will not get to see his face anymore or see the amazing work he did. His family, my prayers go out to you. His parents raised a wonderful man, it seems he had a huge heart. Michelle and Matilda my heart hurts for you and my heart hurts for Heath. We truley have all lost someone so great. I’m extremely sad over this loss.
