Not surprised about the partying thing. I wonder how she’s going to feel when the toxicology report comes out in a couple of weeks. It’s very interesting that the masseuse called and spoke to M-K twice before 911. I think maybe there was some emergency clean-up duty going on before any outsiders were invited in.

Some of these people aren’t too smart. They don’t think through things as most normal people do. I certainly wouldn’t grab someone’s cell phone to call whoever is on speed dial if I thought there was an emergency. The hired help probably realized he was dead and wanted to cover up anything illegal. Who better to call than another like-thinking celebrity.

We’ll all know what kind of stuff these two characters (and probably more of their Hollywood friends) have been up to lately. Sadly, I thought that Heath has looked like he was on drugs for several months. He had that filthy/smelly addict look about him. Usually hygiene is one of the things that goes out the door when people start doing drugs. M-K has a similar look.

It’s too bad that these people have everything, but throw it all away. It really says a lot about celebrities. So, again, it doesn’t surprise me.

i wish people would stop worshipping him, he’s just some dead junkie actor who was more interested in doing blaw with an anorexic tart then hanging with his daughter and making sure he was there to see her grow up. dying while you cross the street is called an ACCIDENT and UNFORTUNATE. a drug overdose (even if its prescription) is f*cking selfish stupidity beyond belief so i have no sympathy for him. his family i do have sympathy for because they didn’t ask for this. yes its very sad that he was a good actor whos not here anymore, but get over it people and leave his loved ones to do the mourning now, he was no mahatma gandhi, he was just some hollywood actor and theyre always dropping like flies from some drug related incident.

My theory is that there have been so many stories about people acting strange and confused while on Ambien that somehow while on that he took an excess of the other drugs because he got confused about whether he took them to begin with. This happens a lot. So many people do things on Ambien then can’t remember. Remember an incident with John Stamos? The youtube clip went around the world. he had some crazy interview where he was acting strange and telling someone they had a small ppenis, on tv no less. People thought he was on the other kind of drugs but he said he was on Ambien. he did the interview while on the stuff instead of sleeping.

I wish people would just let this man rest in piece.

I just read the People story myself and ITA - a new low for People. To compound matters they also have the gossipiest story on Eddie Murphy’s 5-minute marriage that I’ve ever seen in 30+ years that People has been around. The story on HL’s death was jarring because while they talked about what a good guy he was and how well liked and admired he was as an actor, they also went to great lengths to emphasis that he was prone to “excessive” behavior and his partying was out of control. And by “partying” I mean booze and drugs. That’s why the “revelation” that he was “dating” MK Olsen is so funny. All those little tween Olsen fans who think they’re still the little cherubs from tv are gonna get an eyeful if the media keeps digging up the dirt on HL’s death. Over all, though, from cover to cover this week’s People could easily have been Janice Min’s finest day’s work ever.

Don’t worry, Didi. The writer’s strike will be over soon and you can go back to work on that pitch for America’s Funniest Home Videos 2008. Pity you won’t have the time to hang around here anymore.

#19, I highly doubt MK dragged him down the Hollywood road. It seems he was already there from a long time ago. I agree with Amber, I doubt they were actually dating. Probably just partying, doing drugs together and ******** each other. He was with a lot of women the past few months. I personally think he was trying to ease the depression of losing his family.

It is not unusual that he would have trouble sleeping. He was a heavy smoker. He was an actor with an crazy work schedule. Christopher Plummer said they were shooting well into the middle of the night out doors in London in very bad weather. Had been for days. There were times, I am sure, when he had to wake up and be on set at 3 AM or 5 AM for makeup and morning shoots. We only think of the glamour and the$$$ but acting isn’t as eay as all that at all. Then he got sick. Everyone in London was saying he was sick. Saying it was a “stubborn kind of bug he picked up…”Plummer said they thought it was “walking pneumonia…” He flies home to NYC for just a few days before going to Vancouver. Jet lag. His system is ALL out of wack. He has already said he was having problems sleeping. He probably was having trouble breathing and didn’t realize it was affecting his sleep regimen. Young people think they are indestructible. Heath didn’t take care of himself. I wonder what he considered a proper meal? He seemed to have no personal regimen at all, eating sleeping working out, etc. I feel bad for him if since he moved to SoHo a few months ago, he only had the kind of people like Mary Kate Olsen to hang around with. Those people are empty nothing people compared to him.

I just thought you should all know about the tributes and notices left by Heath’s family in our local newspaper. His Dad, Mum, Sisters, Brother in law, Step Mum, Step Sisters and Granparents all left notices in the Paper today, they were really nice but at the same time really sad. People say it does not matter whether MK was doing drugs or encouraging drugs in a party scene with Heath, but it does seem to matter to most people. I noticed other celebrities who had not been such “close” friends were invited to the funeral, but MK does not appear to have been.
People are reeling that anyone that calls themselves a friend sends security around to “clean up” theri items from the room, so that their reputation looks good, and not call an ambulance even though the person is at risk of death.
People need closure to try to understand how someone as wonderful as Heath had “friends” who cared so little.
Another aspect that we need to come to terms with is that in the past the world often blamed others for a heros death.

in the past people would say, it was the ex girlfriends fault, the friends fault, that if people had been more supportive it would not have happened, and nobody would recognize perhaps the hero was fallible and had a drug problem. Whether legal or illegal drug abuse it is still a problem. A lot of the most wonderful people do have drug problems, and this does not stop us respecting, admiring and loving them. However recognizing a drug problem helps us to stop blaming Michelle, or some other woman, or the acting profession, work hours or whatever for the death.
Heath had his choice of the best women and friends, and he split from Michelle and went to hang out with women who he can “party” aka drugs with, and he died with so many loving him, but with his main relationship being with someone who could not care enough to ring the ambulance over saving their reputation.

The truth needs to come out to realize just how sad abuse of drugs illegal or legal is. People also need to know it is not easy to come of illegal drugs by taking prescribed drugs. Probably just about everyone has a family member or friend who we have tried to help, whom we love, and where we worry about them dying under drugs.

When my brother overdosed, his friends with him did not perform any attempts to keep him alive, and when our family got to the home, my brothers money he had had in his wallet ready for a family excursion was missing. People tell me it was probably the police and not his friends. my brother had come clean, was doing ok, but then had replaced alcohol to cope, and had lost his licence. Then I gatehr his “freinds” offered him a small amount of something on top of the large alcohol he had just consumed on his day off work. Then he died. My brother had scottish descent with lovely long blonde hair, and Heath’s scottish charisma reminds me of my brother.
Because of charisma and looks we sometimes feel they can do no wrong, and try to blame their friends, or if only their ex girlfriend let them have more access, or their work hours were not so long. But really it was the drugs, and some childhood issues that the drugs sort to cover, that then cause the problem.

Abuse of drugs is a very sad pathway. Most people experiment or use some drugs when needed, but the party drug scene is tough.
in the video where Heath says he started major marijuana use 20 years ago, that would have made him 8 years old. that sounds unlikely, except i noticed as a child a lot of kids got hooked on drugs aroudn the age of 10. i read later that if hooked on drugs at that age it is harder later to get off the need for drugs as a pattern gets set about needign drugs to cope with any emotion or any stress in life. So the person does not learn coping wiring in brain about learning to deal with life.
Some people think that marijuana and ectsasy are not bad, but they do not understand that it is a big difference to one person taking a joint for a once a month party, to the person who drops 8 E’s each night 4 nights a week, and combines with a bunch of other things.

So when you hear or see friends having a few drinks even when taking valium or doctor tablets, or you know friends are dropping E’s every night. Please warn them and help them recover, their life might depend on it.
