OlderMatthew Fox: Lost For Humor
Lost star Matthew Fox, aka Dr. Jack Shephard, hangs out with two female friends Thursday on a balcony in Sydney, Australia. He’s in town to promote the third season of Lost and his new movie Vantage Point.
He was recently asked about being name-dropped in the comedy Knocked Up. In the movie, Katherine Heigl plays a TV journalist named Alison Scott, who tells her boyfriend Ben Stone (played by Seth Rogen) that she is interviewing Fox.
Stone: Matthew Fox from Lost?
Scott: Yeah.
Stone: You know what’s interesting about him?
Scott: What?
Stone: Nothing.
Fox’s humorless response to the movie reference was: “I couldn’t care less. That doesn’t have any effect whatsoever. I don’t spend a lot of time thinking about s— like that.”
But Fox is excited about getting back to filming Lost: “I love the story of Lost and I also would like a bit more certainty in my life. I’d like to see something happen (with the strike) so I can plan working on Lost, some other projects and also life outside of work.”
The survivors of Oceanic Air’s Flight 815 return in the Season 4 premiere in ONE WEEK — Thursday, Jan 31, @ 9PM ET/PT on ABC.

And people who say he doesn’t has humor are seriously mistaken. Watch the bloopers, watch his interview. Watch him on talk shows. Ellen loves this man. Just like I do :)

Foxy is actually in Australia to promote the 4th season of Lost, not the 3rd lol.
It’s not just this one interview about Foxy that makes him seem arrogent. It’s how he continously acts. So don’t say we are judging him by this one little thing.
Jess: And I suppose you know Foxy personally in order to make that judgment call on how he continuously acts arrogant. *eye roll* I have not seen any live interview where he has behaved in an arrogant manner. And if the only thing you are going by are online and written interviews, then you are not well informed enough to actually judge the man lol.

Seriously, lost is an over-rated show? You have to be kidden me. Only shows like Lost, House, The Wire, that make good tv.
And as far as this guy is concerned, he has always been misunderstood, starting from that crappy rumor about somebody falling out with the cast…when that wasnt even true! Being the lead actor, he gets most of the limelight, which gives people more chances to call him a ‘douchebag’ and all that.
I think it’s getting pretty obvious that Matthew Fox isn’t acting on Lost. He’s an arrogant prick and he plays an arrogant prick. It’s typecasting. I love Lost though and I’m glad they got this wad to play Jack. It wouldn’t be half as fun watching Lost if we didn’t have Jack to hate and make fun of. Please don’t die, Jack!
