Scarlett Johansson’s Album Drops May 20
Scarlett Johansson’s debut album, Anywhere I Lay My Head, will officially drop on Tuesday, May 20.
The album will be released via Rhino Entertainment’s Atco Records and will feature 10 Tom Waits covers and one original track.
Scarlett, 23, spent five weeks last spring recording the album in Maurice, Louisiana. The actress-turned-singer has song collaborations on the album with Yeah Yeah Yeahs guitarist Nick Zimmer, Celebration’s Sean Antanaitis and TV On The Radio’s Dave Sitek, who produced.
Listen to Scarlett sing the track “Summertime” for Unexpected Dreams, a 2006 charity album featuring movie stars.
Last April, Scarlett made a surprise appearance with the Jesus & Mary Chain at Coachella festival.

THE CLIP OF HER SINGING SUMMERTIME ON YOUTUBE ISN’T HER…YOU CAN TOTALLY HEAR IT’S NOT HER VOICE AND CHECK THE COMMENTS, IT WAS RENEE SOMEONE WHO SANG THAT.
I really think celebs should get away from real artistry like singing. I don’t care if you’re scarlett or paris…just say NO! Singing is actually something that requires real talent and not just the ability to look pretty while looking out of a window. Honey, if you want more money then just pimp yourself out and release a new fragrance or something…but stay away from music!!!

That is her singing and it was officially on a cd called Unexpected Dreams. Look it up. This isn’t like someone took a published song from so and so Renee (you obviously read that off the Youtube Comments anyway) - maybe you should have read those comments further as that Renee thing was DEBUNKED!
If you listen to the song you can clearly tell it’s Scarlett’s smoky, sultry voice that is singing.
Clearly this Renee woman (who?) is not a star of film and television so why would a song by her be on the cd? She may have sung a version of the song - but it clearly isn’t this version.
Study up on all the facts before you start making accusations like this.
Here is a link to a sample of the Renee Olstead version I just looked up. Her version is obviously more up-beat R&B jazzy than laid back like jazzy liked Scarlett’s version.

And, btw, this has got to be on of the most covered songs in music history - so don’t act like the Renee Olstead (again - who?) version is the only one out there.
Such basket cases. Scarlett haters are so delusional. Everytime this girl accomplishes a goal they get all heated! It isn’t anything but jealousy - it can’t be anything else!
