Mary-Kate and Heath: Just Friends
Mary-Kate Olsen speaks out days after the the death of Heath Ledger.
“Heath was a friend,” MK tells ET. “His death is a tragic loss. My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time.”

i am pissed- the masseuse should have called 911 right when she learned he wasn’t responsive. instead it took her 30 minutes before she called 911. what the hell there was a chance he could have been saved!
I find their connection really weird. That is a sober response from someone who was called first when Heath was discovered. How did Heath tell her apart from the other twin whose name I forget, they look a like I never could tell them apart.
I agree with Leyton. That should be looked into, and if it is so that his death is a direct cause of the 30 minute delay, toss her ass in jail. The world don’t need another massuse, we need Heath :(

If the masseuse & the housekeeper had his phone they could have called his parent= Next of kin I’m sure it was under mum & dad or perhaps Michelle, Those two idiots (masseuse & housekeeper) are responsible for his parents finding out through the media …I hope they have to face his family when they come to NY to collect Heath’s Body.. Everyone is acting like Mary-Kate shot him, she was called and responded as best as she could, she didn’t know he was dying. Also Heath seemed to have move on from Michelle…I feel bad for Matilda
Very generic statement indeed. Strangers have written more eloquently. Creepy as it may be, strangers seem to have a better way with words than the only notable person linked to this poor guy when he died. I didn’t expect anything from the little nightmare but that statement is really disappointing. That would totally offend me even in my humble little life. Hollywood and their stupid little “statements”. Enough already. Nobody really cares. I’m so glad that I’m not a celebrity!
But seriously…with the statements… if I READ one more I’ll totally freak. Nobody cares. Nobody should want to put their simple words where it doesn’t count for anything. It’s not like Heath’s family is looking to OK MAGAZINE for sympathy. It’s tacky to say the very least.

She HAD to because of idiots like on this thread speculating about their relationship, but out of respect for Heath, his daughter, his family, etc she didn’t elaborate for YOUR benefit. I’m sure she has made private communication to the family. As she says, her thoughts are with his FAMILY at this time, not stupid fans who still want to hate on threads about what is indeed, a tragic loss.
And if you have any sense at all, you would realize that Heath was DEAD ALREADY when the masseuse got there! Remember how the housekeeper found him “asleep” two hours earlier???? Do any of you READ or just change things around for your own amusement? The masseuse found Heath cold to the touch — a dead person doesn’t turn cold immediately, jackasses! It takes a long time.

Yes, Heath was dating Gemma Ward. You can go out on a date and still date others, and not have it be serious and sign each other’s yearbooks — such children on here! Just because two adults go out, even sleep together, does not make them boyfriend/girlfriend. It’s what ADULTS do. Get over it.

How do you know MK didn’t tell the masseuse to call 911? She was trying to protect Heath from the media, so it wouldn’t turn out like it has. She was acting as a FRIEND would. She has acted with dignity and class through this — wish people here would.

Oh my GOD, some people are HORRIBLE! Heath has not even been dead for a week. Please, show some respect. His family and friends (and FYI, that includes MK) are going through a hard enough time as it is.
Heath’s death was an accident and it had NOTHING to do with Mary-Kate. The masseuse called MK instead of 911, but how was MK supposed to know that? Also, Heath and the masseuse were in New York, while MK was in LA! What was she supposed to do? What could she possibly have done, other than what she did?
I agree with #35, this was not MK’s fault! She was a FRIEND! She got a phone call from a hysterical woman over in NY, telling her that she thought Heath was dead. Seriously, how do you think YOU would have reacted? I bet not as well as MK did. MK did all she could and she was a friend of Heath’s. She’s just as sad over this as all his other friends, and then having people write this horrible, completely disrespectful things about her! Why do you do it? Her friend just died while she was not even anywhere near and some people have the nerve to suggest SHE had something to do with it? Get real!
