Ashley Tisdale: New Zealand, Here I Come!
Ashley Tisdale gets some hair treatments at a Beverly Hlls salon on Friday, in preparation for going abroad later this week.
Tizz, 22, is leaving for New Zealand soon to film the upcoming adventure comedy, They Came From Upstairs. The film is about a group of teens who defend their Maine vacation home against aliens.

#91 I’m assuming you’re responding to my reference to “A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.” It’s not very good in my opinion so you’re not missing much. But it was an example that sci-fi does not always have to be “pretty serious.”
#92 Fortunately you are NOT the one who decides whether Ashley or anybody else has a place in Hollywood. And having seen some of your posts that is a fact that I and doubtless many others shall be eternally grateful.

I just wanted to comment on Ashley “having no range”. How we do we know that? She’s completely untested. Yes, “They Came from Upstairs” obviously is going to appeal to her already established fanbase but so what? It can serve as a foot in the door.
Look at Zac Efron he didn’t go from “High School Muscial” to a Tarantino film did he? No he did “Hairspray” playing a character not a million years removed from Troy Bolton. Now he’s the lead in “Me and Orson Welles” which is a very different kind of story. Yeah he’s playing another teenager but its going to be sometime before he’s cast for the role of a Supreme Court Judge or U.S. Congressman.
Will the same thing happen for Ashley? Only time will tell. “They Came from Upstairs” could possibly turn out to be excrucatingly unwatchable cr@p. Or it could turn out to be the “Citizen Kane” of teenagers fighting off alien invaders in the attic film genre. Or most likely will fall safely somewhere in-between those two extremes like most movies do.
But anyway she’s playing it smart and hopefully it will work out for her.
