Cate Blanchett @ 2008 SAG Awards
Cate Blanchett glows in Nicolas Ghesquiere by Balenciaga at the 2008 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday in Los Angeles.
Cate the Great is nominated for two SAG awards this time around. The mom-to-be is up for “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role” for her role as Queen Elizabeth I in Universal Pictures’ Elizabeth: The Golden Age and “Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role” for in The Weinstein Company’s I’m Not There.

Nicole Kidman and Jennifer Connelly are about the only celebrities that look good in Balenciaga. The rest of them just don’t have the charisma.

WOW!!!! Stunning as usual!! And I’m sorry, she blows both Connelly and Kidman out of the water!!! 100% Class. She is absolutely gorgeous, I LOVE that dress! She sure is glowing with this pregnancy.
What’s with everyone wearing all these weird prints tonight? Only Teri Hatcher wore a good one like that. I know Blanchett is pregnant so she gets a pass but that green dress she just wore to the Santa Barbara Film Festival was STUNNING. She should have worn that. She has such great style though. Especialy that stuff she wore in 2006 and 2007. Her and Charlize Theron are the best dressed women in hollywood.

She looks beautiful but i hate the dress. The style is fine but why such a busy pattern. It looks like bad curtains. I wish she had won. Both of her performances were great but particularly I’m Not There. I loved that movie.
Absolutely the best dressed, Cate always looks amazing. She dares to be different, pays attention to fine details, (love her earings and bracelet) I love her unique style. BEAUTIFUL!
All of you people that think this is a curtain, just look at the details!!! OMG, I just saw an HQ and the craftsmanship on that dress is simply breathtaking!! The entire panel of E! Fashion Police hosts were raving about it, saying it was much more detailed and intricate in person than on video & photos. They labeled her “the most gorgeous pregnant woman alive”. Go Cate!
