Jake Gyllenhaal Remembers Heath Ledger

Earlier this weekend, Jake, 27, was spotted hiking at a Los Angeles park with girlfriend Reese Witherspoon and her two kids, Ava, 8, and Deacon, 4. It was the first sighting of the star since his Brokeback costar Heath Ledger’s passing.
It was reported last week that Jake was in New Mexico shooting his new film, Brothers. Presumably, he flew back home recently to attend the private memorial service for Heath, which was attended by his close family and friends.
Jake is the godfather of Heath and Michelle Williams 2-year-old daughter Matilda.

Didi, you disgust me. We’re just the public eye. How can a tiny, short article telling us that Jake went hiking mean that he’s not grieving? He was best friends with Heath! God.. sometimes I wonder why I ever started going on the net…
Ugh.. just a little side note.. I was quite upset when I posted that comment, so here’s what I think after a little more thought..
None of us no whether or not they hung out, so none of us know whether he should be grieving or not. And none of us know whether anything in the press is true or not.
Now I’m going to go back to not reading articles on celebs because it screws with the head.
Poor Jake! :’( They were so close, such a beautiful friendship developed between them since Brokeback Mountain! Amazing actors too. It’s such a terrible loss. He must have been special to Heath to be Matilda’s Godfather. Jake has lost his best friend.

didi, do you always talk out of your *******? It would appear you lack a sense of reality in human life experiences. Maybe if you stop taking the drugs your on you would grasp lifes issues if you are able to do so. Then it could be you were raised with no sense of compassion and I do not mean the fake Emperor Bush kind of compassion. Everyone grieves in their own way. It would appear you have no ability to show any kind of grief when someone passes from this journey into the next journey. Were you raised by alcoholic parents or were you just an hateful person from the get go? It would appear if you were on your prescription medication and getting the therapy you surely need, we would have less hateful souls in the world. I am sure you voted for Emperor Bush and his **** as in shoot your best friend in the face Cheney. To Impeachment Hill they are going! Good on ya Rip Heath, i have a lot of love and respect for Jake as well mate, he seems to be a very nice and warm person and i feel very sorry for his loss. It would be so great to know Jake personally I think he would make a great friend and i recon both Jake and Heath had a lot of respect for one another and i feel that Jake still morns for his best friend. I think BBM is still the best acting i’ve seen Jake do so far that is, and I am looking forward to his next big hit on the screen.

Heath and Jake became forever intimate on that mountain. It took a toll. After the film, he lost his Jake all over again. He couldn’t bear that pain and continue in the straight and narrow.
Why has everyone come here to diss Jake!

You know, people can still be friends with out spending every single minute together.

so if they were that close, why didn’t jake honor his friend the way johnny, jude, and colin did … what these 3 gentlemen did for heath was such a beautiful and touching gesture that spoke volumes for the people and actors they are jake you could have joined the class act oh but you’re not A-list and you’re too much into your own grief what they did to honor heath was also for matilda bravo to these men
