By-the-way, it doesn’t seem OB was there with her. There have been two sightings of him in LA and the last one was Saturday.

the aussie press is making fools of themselves again. Two papers wrote about this event last week and both said they were hedging their bets on Orlando being here with her. So that didn’t happen either!
How long are they going to milk this thing? I really hope it gets to the point where Orlando does something about it and really makes her look like a fool.

If you google Orlando’s name and news today, you’ll find a story about Miranda not being resigned with Portman’s, which we are led to believe is just fine with her. That way she can be closer to Orlando. This girl loves PR and will do anything or anyone to get it.
The sad part about all of that is that Aussie press simply will not get it through their thick skulls that America does not want Miranda. She is not liked by the public here. The members of the public who know who she is do not find her attractive as a model. And people who know her as a person find her to be incredibly fake.
I think this whole event last night was not well-attended by any really big name stars except for maybe Julian McMahon and Jessica Alba. Julian was there because he was getting an award and Jessica was there to present it to him. Other than that, just Miranda and some other D-list celebs attended.
As for Orlando, he plays the PR game himself, so it would not surprise me in the least that they are dating. He doesn’t have much going on for himself right now, so maybe it’s okay to be aligned with someone who’s getting her name on the websites and rags.
Since she’s been dropped by Portman’s and not included in Victoria’s Secret current campaign (according to someone else’s post earlier), maybe they can be unemployed together. They could leave the US for their own countries and live their lives without forcing themselves down our throats.

FROM Gunnedah to Manhattan, model Miranda Kerr will step out this weekend in New York to display her Australian pride at the finale of this year’s G’Day USA celebrations.
Kerr will be one of the special guests at the sold-out Merino 200 and Jacob’s Creek Australia Day Gala at Manhattan’s Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Sunday.
It’s not known who the Aussie stunner will bring as her plus-one to the black-tie gala, although she’s rumoured to be dating heart-throb Orlando Bloom.
Nip/Tuck star Julian McMahon will be honoured at the party.

how Kerr has gone from ordinary Gunnedah gal to all-conquering queen of fashion.
In a testament to her rising star status, the leggy stunner has also been invited to be a special guest at the sold-out G’Day USA Australia Day gala at iconic Manhattan hotel, The Waldorf Astoria, on Saturday.
While many eyes will be focused on her, there will be equal attention given to her date for the night — with most hedging their bets on it being Hollywood heartthrob Orlando Bloom.

Well, although there are a few execptions, I think it has a lot to do with the fact that it is ingrained in them that they are sex objects at such a young age and it becomes their only selling point. Miranda reminds me of the type of girl that thats all she knows and thats the only way she knows how to relate to men. When that happens they become extremely manipulative and excellent at their game. However, it does appear that Miranda did get busted at hers this time.
why in the heck did it take Orlando a whole extra month to figure it all out? I guess when it all hit the fan in November she was able to lie her way out of it and say it wasn’t true. Maybe it took him being screwed over for him to investigate all that was being said.Who knows what else she must have lied about.

Maybe a photo op/publicity set-up by Atelier Condos in April and a shared lunch with a couple of other people in October should not have been called dates or dating. Casually hanging out is more like it. People do it all the time. With or without casual one night stand sex.
Miranda should have her hair in an elegant chignon or glammed up pony tail, and she needs a bit more emphasis on the eyes, IMO. Her shoes are all wrong for that dress. I agree with other people on that. The extra threads at the hem should have been cut off. Diamond stud earrings would have been a nice touch as far as simple elegant accessories go. She needs to powder her T-zone and cheeks.
As for Orlando’s maybe-girlfriends, I think he and they need to sit down and hammer some things out. Big time. And if he resents being set up or used by them, maybe he needs to start looking at women with a different set of eyes and judging them by a different set of criteria. He said he likes women of character. Strong women of character who have a strong sense of self.

Not meaning to rag on you Ricki, but many people who couldn’t stand Orlando’s exgirlfriend were called jealous as well, and many insisted that they weren’t. The fact of the matter is that Orlando’s female companions really only have to please HIM, but his fans definitely have their own opinions about them! Miranda’s reputation seems to be shot in some circles.
I remember seeing those pics back in April and somehow having a feeling that it wouldn’t be the last we would be seeing of Miranda, I dunno why. I think I just found it odd as to how a VS model would be a “good friend” of his all of a sudden! He had been rumored to have went to the VS show the following December and I wonder if he hadn’t liked what he had saw and wanted her then. I think Orlando has always wanted to date a model for a longtime,(a lot of his friends have dated models and he used to fancy supermodels when he was younger) as not long before Miranda showed up with him again in October he was hitting on that Model in that nightclub before the car crash- she looked similar to Miranda, a few weeks later Orlando is pictured with Kerr and we find out that her and Jay have split up a few months previous. Which is rather “convenient” and paves the way for the “Orlando is with Miranda” stuff.
It was all very weird and that I cant deny! I just hope he has realised what she is!
Also, it’s rather sad the way she blatantly lies about her age. She was born in 1983 - NOT 1985 as she tries to make everyone believe. I know for a fact because I was invited to her 21st birthday party in 2004, and because she won the Dolly model contest at the age of 13 in 1997. This makes her 24, not 22. Well your comments are so erudite that I am of course immediately impressed with your knowledge. We don’t know all of the people we vote for either, we vote for an image that they build and present. He has built an image too; it just doesn’t match his actions. On the whole most people feel that saying one thing and acting another way smacks of hypocrisy. I think that is why so many people are so down on him. He build an image of a regular person whose head wasn’t turned by all of the accolades heaped upon him, someone who is intelligent and informed, however, he is acting very differently. So yes, I suppose I get to have an opinion. At least mine is expressed in words that make sense, while yours, not so much.

#181 - Well said. There certainly seems to be a disconnect between Orlando’s words and his actions. The facts about an “image” are pretty simple: even the best actor cannot keep up a contrived image forever.
Who knows if he and Miranda are/were a couple. The one certain thing seems to be that Miranda has a problem with her mouth and self-promotion. She is also having trouble keeping up a contrived image. People don’t think she’s so sweet. She will always put herself forward regardless of anyone else’s opinion. IMO, she has been dropped by Portman’s because they got a bad vibe from her. The DT had her taking Megan Gale’s place, but Gale’s camp quickly shot that down.
Miranda does not mind stealing anyone’s thunder, even if it’s for a week or two. She has the impression that any press is good press. Guess what - that is so untrue! Bad press can ruin a career.
Orlando has experienced extremely bad press in recent months. There is probably a direct correlation between that bad press and his not signing for any new roles. It’s not just due to the writer’s strike. Other people are signing and filming outside of the US as we speak. He hasn’t done any film acting since last year at this time on POC AWE and hasn’t signed to do any. He did do the PR-speak thing about “wanting to take a break.” Oh please. He was not the lead actor on POC, he was not in every scene, and his role wasn’t that stressful to do.
What he just does not seem to get is that when he does crazy stuff the tabloid press pick up on it. Orlando just walking around is not really a story. His being polite is not a story. His dating a high school sweetheart would not really be a story.
However, having a shouting match with someone on the phone on a public street is a story. Showing your underwear in almost every picture is fodder for the little fangirls, so it’s probably a story on a slow web posting day. Chasing down a woman who took your picture on the street and getting ticked at her is a story. Acting like a kook outside of a club is a story. Groping the girls at the club is a story. Wrecking your car after the groping and kookiness is a story.
Orlando will never be able to translate his previous success to future success as a serious actor if he doesn’t break away from immature behavior, including, but not limited to, dating immature and fame-seeking models/actresses, covering his head like some strange Headless Horseman, arguing on the cell phone in a public place, etc.

Orlando needs to stay out of the spotlight and the pap pics. He can do that by NOT drawing attention to himself by acting like a fool in Hollyweird and keeping his personal life PRIVATE. Even if that means moving to South America, he should do it. If that means that he has to date non-famous people, he should do that. Those things worked for Matt Damon, and they could work for Orlando. He should develop more of an authentic self-image and not go around moping all of the time. People like upbeat people. If he’s not guilty of any wrong-doing, he shouldn’t act guilty. He needs to hold his head up and be cordial when he is seen in public. Producers will appreciate a more mature attitude with a more mature fan following. Hopefully, that will lead to a long and successful career.

Sorry, fangirly, I’m not Ooba or Young Things or anyone else but me. I have an opinion just as you do. No, I am not crazy, and I am definitely not a loner. I’m an adult who can construct a full sentence in English (since this is an site written in English). I visit many sites when I’m on the internet and often post about subjects that I find interesting. I never post without knowing something about the people involved.
IMO, you post about Orlando because you are madly in love with him, want to marry him and have his babies. If that doesn’t work out, you probably want to keep him in the spotlight so you get to see pap pictures of him and drool over them all day long. That’s generally what the fangirls like to do. They really don’t care about respectability and career viability.

Give it up Tiff, there is no method to the madness of some of the stranger and more bizzare fans who post here. I agree with you. He needs to start acting more mature. He will never be taken seriously if he continues to behave in the manner he has been lately. Since he had been laying low I hoped he went home, and was trying to regain some semblance of a normal life. I don’t think one can stay out in LA for too long before Brittany type antics start to look serenely normal. If, as he says so often, he wants to be taken seriously as an actor he needs to play down the crazy behavior. Everyone says he is in LA trying to find work, I don’t buy it, he is there because he likes it and that means he is buying into the whole celebity lifestyle thing. He can get film offers, etc, just as easily in London as LA. More so probably since they are not involved in a writers strike. I am sorely disappointed in him, and in the choices he has made. Because I enjoyed him in a couple of his roles I was hoping for more from him. I thought he was serious about moving beyond the “heart throb” catagory.
I wanted to add, most actors who have succeded have not only been charasmatic, but smart too. He has a great deal going for him, looks, charm, and he can act, when he wants to. He just has no sense when it comes to choosing roles. Either he needs to get smarter, or he need to find someone he trusts to help him find good roles. Not people who just want him to work so they can make money off of him.
I think Orlando’s problems are a result of his own and his (mis)managers’s doings . Correct me if I’m wrong, but when he was at Oprah’s last year, ( heavily marketing his ‘good guy’ image at the expense of Katrina’s survivors - how shameful!) he himself said that it was difficult for him to keep a steady relationship ( when he was asked about his romance with ex-Kate) because ‘in the business he was’ , he stated, ‘he met too many beautiful & charming women’. These are not the words of a mature guy whom any woman with an average IQ and the best intentions would ever confide in, right? These are words of a very starry-eyed fool, still enthralled by appearances & illusions. He attracts and seems attracted to women in that category as well; little girls without personality or fame whores, fake and as superficial, greedy and futile as he himself is. His (mis)management had him make tv commercials too, which is just the worst he could possibly do as it discredits his professional standards even more and makes him morally cheap!
I recall a real manager saying that if he wanted his actors to be taken seriously, first thing he did was to forbid them the weekly Hollywood parties and the usual prowl at the ‘hot celeb holes/places’ where the paps always are because being fodder for tabloids always discredits serious acting. As you can see, he’s gone the easy & cheap route and he’s becoming a joke for almost everyone; It’s not a wonder that the girls he’s often involved with are so questionable.

Miranda is a beautiful Australian girl. Its funny how most of the people on here bringing her down are also females. Im sure most males wouldnt agree with some of the negative views expressed on here. Its not her fault she is prettier than most women, grow up and get over it.
