Wow can we just talk about the color of her dress? I mean SHUT UP! That color is freaking fabulous and fierce! I am not sold on the cut of it just yet, but I still feel Nikki looked stunning and gorgeous as always! I am sad that they didn’t win but I can’t say anything because Hairspray was the only movie in there that I had seen.

But we all know that Nikki and the entire cast has years of amazing movies and a great career ahead of them!

Nikki isn’t that overweight. Please. Plus, she has lost weight recently. And, it’s none of our business. I focus on her personality, and her talent, as do her friends, and that is what they and I love her for. That’s all that matters. The rest is her business.

Jen Im not sure who you are kidding- she is obese, its not just a matter of being a little overweight (obese is classified as being double what you should be), she needs to lose half her bodyweight. Im not saying its my business, its purely an observation.

Someone close to her should really let her know its time to start being a bit healthier NOT for her looks, purely for health.

Im not saying this to be mean, but Ive noticed lots of people put slack on skinny girls, when in reality its just as dangerous being overweight.

Nikki is a sweet, talented girl who needs to deal with her overeating issues as soon as possible. Being curvy, even a little chunky, is one thing. This is seriously FAT. Look at her arms, bulging from the fat!!

You don’t get like that overnight. It takes a lot of work to maintain that amount of being overweight and continuing to gain, like she obviously has since Hairspray. Even with all the dancing, she is gaining.

Did anyone ever stop to think that perhaps wearing shoes that are a little bigger than her feet, might be more comfortable?

I fail to see why Nikki’s weight is always an issue. The focus should be on what a wonderful actress she is, how she’s the first ‘real’ actress to hit Hollywood in a long time, how she rocked her first film role. Nikki is beautiful just the way she is and I wish her nothing but continued success and happiness:)

I’ve said it before, and I’ll clearly say it again. Nikki rocks my socks, she’s an inspiration, not because of what she does or does not look like, but because she’s a confident, grounded, unfailingly HAPPY girl. Hollywood could use a few more like her. Preferably one for every vain, stupid vag-flashing actress out there.

Nikki looking fabulous as always - that shade of blue is fantastic, and you can clearly see that the loves the way she looks. So for me, that’s all that matters. I respect those that speak intelligently about health and weight - but for the twelve year olds who feel the need to hate on a beautiful and talented actress, please calm your little typing fingers down enough to use actual words and correct phrasing. I know this isn’t necessarily the place to come for intelligent conversation, but as an educator this is all I ask. I am so proud to be a Nikki Blonsky (and hairspray cast!) fan - I’m glad that the acting community has embraced her in her first fantastic film role.

Bellie, I get it. I appreciate that you’re looking out for her health, and I don’t think any of us fans want her to be unhealthy. She has said in interviews that if she wants to lose weight, she will - but she’s happy where she is. So I’m happy. I’m not arguing with you, I’m just saying that she is content, and I think she looks nice, and that’s all that matters to me. Her life, her decision.

This is about Nikki attending the SAG awards, nothing at all to do with Vanessa. She wasn’t even there. And I have read most of the comments on this thread, and I don’t recall anyone putting Vanessa down for her n ude photo scandal. So, what was your point?

Anyway, I can’t wait to see what projects Nikki lands after the writer’s strike is over, now that she has the GG and CCA cred behind her!

Zac filmed Hairspray with Nikki. Then Zac went to Utah to film HSM 2 with Vanessa whom he was as it was reported stuck to like glue, Then they went off to Hawaii for a private vacation which blew the lid off their secret relationship. A relationship that was not really very secret around LA. Then Zac and Vanessa were with each other at the premiere in LA for Hairspray. It was reported they sat holding hands throughout the movie. Then came the Australian premiere where once again Zac and Vanessa were together. How many young men and young women travel the globe together who are are not sharing an intimate relationship? All these things happened before HSM 2 was released. So, nobody had a clue it would be such a big hit, much less that a big screen version would be made. So, there were no reason Zac and Vanessa had to be together. Also, when in Australia that would have been the perfect place for Zac to have made his feelings known for Nikki if there had been any like that. He didn’t have to take Vanessa with him if they were not involved. And all those things occurred before that naughty little picture of Vanessa came out. You know, the one that all of you want to refer to.
