Nikki Blonsky @ 2008 SAG Awards
Hairspray star Nikki Blonsky (in Igigi) works the red carpet at the 2008 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday in Los Angeles.
Blonsky and the rest of the cast of Hairspray are up for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture.

Nikki is beautiful. I don’t think the back of the dress flatters her but from the front she’s all win. Gorgeous hair and accessories.
To all the haters and disgusting comments… what you lack in maturity you make up for in stupidity! Cruelty to others is nothing to be proud of. This gal has class, style and more talent in her little finger then most people.
Im far from a hater (and Ive never said a disguting comment )- I think she is very talented and has a pretty face and is probably a lovely person.
But as I keep stating, for her health she should lose some weight- pure and simple. Google the statistics of health problems contributed to being overweight- if she doesnt do something soon, I hate to see what it will result in…..

I’m unclear what Vanessa Hudgens has to do with Nikki Blonsky.
Quite frankly those who are fans of Vanessa and yet make rude remarks about Nikki are idiots.
Vanessa wasn’t there because she has no business being there. You see Nikki is an authentic, fantastic actress, not some trashy, ****** flashing, wanna be. She doesn’t need to leak naked picture of herself or date a ‘Tween Dream’ to be recognized. She gets respect and recognition the good old fashioned way, by working for it, with REAL talent.
So ‘Zanessa’ shippers and ‘V’ lovers, go stick your petty, shallow ways were the sun don’t shine, because you wouldn’t know a good actress if it hit you in your idiotic faces!

Nikki is win! Soooo talented, and so sensible! I LOVE her comments about not being all about shopping and make-up and getting her picture taken everywhere, unlike so many of her peers, who seem to be snapped everywhere, just shopping and being shallow.
I can’t wait for STRIKE season to be over, so she can get a new movie!

I fail to see why Nikki’s weight is always an issue. The focus should be on what a wonderful actress she is, how she’s the first ‘real’ actress to hit Hollywood in a long time, how she rocked her first film role. Nikki is beautiful just the way she is and I wish her nothing but continued success and happiness:)

She looks amazing! I’m not to crazy about the dress, but DAMN! She still manages to look beautiful and radiant! Her makeup is perfect, not overdone but still stunning it makes her glow! So does her smile! It’s her perfect accessory she flashes that smile and no one shines brighter then her, what a doll!
I love Nikki, I’m excited to see her take her already accomplished career even further!
I’ve said it before, and I’ll clearly say it again. Nikki rocks my socks, she’s an inspiration, not because of what she does or does not look like, but because she’s a confident, grounded, unfailingly HAPPY girl. Hollywood could use a few more like her. Preferably one for every vain, stupid vag-flashing actress out there.

Nikki looking fabulous as always - that shade of blue is fantastic, and you can clearly see that the loves the way she looks. So for me, that’s all that matters. I respect those that speak intelligently about health and weight - but for the twelve year olds who feel the need to hate on a beautiful and talented actress, please calm your little typing fingers down enough to use actual words and correct phrasing. I know this isn’t necessarily the place to come for intelligent conversation, but as an educator this is all I ask. I am so proud to be a Nikki Blonsky (and hairspray cast!) fan - I’m glad that the acting community has embraced her in her first fantastic film role.

High Blood pressure, heart attack, not being able to concieve, type 2 diabetes- all things that go hand in hand with being overweight.

Bellie, I get it. I appreciate that you’re looking out for her health, and I don’t think any of us fans want her to be unhealthy. She has said in interviews that if she wants to lose weight, she will - but she’s happy where she is. So I’m happy. I’m not arguing with you, I’m just saying that she is content, and I think she looks nice, and that’s all that matters to me. Her life, her decision.

I think it’s you that needs your head examined not Nikki. Every interview she has ever given has conveyed how down to earth and level-headed she is, she’s won the respect of her peers, elders and the critics…not something that many other nineteen year old actresses can say.
Beyond saying fashion and beauty are in the eyes of the beholder I’m not going to say what I think about your opinion of Nikki’s appearance…it wouldn’t be worth the effort.
